Have you ever wondered what people in the military talk about? Yeah us too. My Military Friends Podcast is a group of normal military friends who try to intelligently converse about a wide variety topics in our very own colorful military vernacular and style. We are active duty, reserves, retired a…
So I felt compelled to talk about shootings in America in the wake of the recent school shooting. Obviously, there has been a lot of mass shootings in recent times and it does not look like it will stop anytime soon because we as Americans cannot agree on shit because it is forever politicized. Just podcast just outlines some of the tragedies and a little education on the Second Amendment and Article V of the United States Constitution. As always feedback is encouraged.
Happy New Year. 2018 is a year I want us to be better. This one is Brandon, Matt and myself catching up. Remember the E is for Explicit.
So this is me apologizing for being a piece of shit PROCRASTINATOR. And kind of outlining the future of the podcast. Since the boys are gone. Stay tuned.
Gun Control debate is not really a debate because we agree on almost all issues. Forgive me because I am really really drunk. Or don't. It's ok.
We continue with the wedding episode but we also start our gun control debate (if you want to call it that).
This Podcast was created a while ago but through many days of PROCRASTINATION I am finally putting it out. This Part 1 of 3. It chronicles the adventures to Marcus and Michelle's Wedding in Missouri. By the way thank you for allowing us there on your special day.
This was just a sidebar conversation that was had while we waited for Nicole to show up.
Disclaimer.... I am not apologizing for any one person's comments and I know we come off as insensitive sometimes. And with that, I apologize. So enjoy this episode that touches on an ACTUAL Tinder date. Oh and in wild card fashion.....Fuck you, Matt. Stay tuned for Part 3.
First of all, I want to apologize for being so late posting this episode of the podcast. I have been very busy and basically not being committed to the podcast. I will do better. I am working to make My Military Friends Podcast better. Hopefully, we can get some feedback for topics or if anyone wants to be on the show. So with that being said... Greetings and Salutations, Welcome to another episode of My Military Friends Podcast. Episode 21 is affectionately known as “The Wild Card Episode” we also called it the “Fuck you Matt episode!” We started a series that we dubbed the prepper series and it was going to prove informative for all involved and we felt it made for good conversation. But certain people didn’t show up and we just had fun instead. In this episode, Aidan groans on and on about his day. Also, you may hear a series of censor beeps during this podcast because we needed to protect the information of our non-military friend Gabby. Remember that My Military Friends Podcast is NSFW (or any place else) unless you have headphones because the ‘E’ is for EXPLICIT content. Fuck you, Matt!
Welcome to another episode of My Military Friends Podcast. This episode I speak with my friend Asha Goude (pronounced Goody) in Minnesota. I wanted to test out the google hangout and see if I could actually follow instructions and record a podcast from Google hangout video chat and SUCCESS I was able to do it. So Enjoy our little conversation. We also have a twitter account that is up and running if you guys want to holler at us. Twitter: @MyMilFriends. thanks for listening.
Greetings and salutations. Sorry, we have been away for a while but life gets real at some point and we can't always have fun. So please remember the disclaimers. Check out our Instagram photos from our man day. Instagram: Mymilitaryfriends_podcast. This podcast abruptly ended because of an unforeseen issue. Somehow the file said it was full when it wasn't. With that being said I felt it was necessary to publish it anyway because the content was pretty good. Not for the fact that one of our own was robbed at gunpoint but that we had a very one-sided conversation about gun control in America. So the fact that it ended poorly is ok. No matter what your stance on gun control is in America, we feel what happened to Brandon should never happen to anyone. The views and opinions of this podcast are our own. If you have a differing opinion please feel free to contact us at mymilitaryfriends@gmail.com. As always this is NSFW unless you have headphones. Enjoy.
Welcome, welcome, welcome back and HAPPY NEW YEAR. Yep I know it's February. Yep, I know it's almost the end of February. But I've been busy. But now that the run of busyness has slowed down we are back on the podcasting road again. This episode is a Hodge podge of spatterings basically trying to outline the year to come. Remember the E is for explicit and really adult conversation which is not safe for work unless you are using headphones. Have fun and drop us a line. Not that we actively check it.
First of all, I would like to thank Michelle and Mikayla for joining the podcast. You ladies are welcome back anytime. This episode was the last episode of 2016, That's right we made it a whole year. So since it's December I decided to make it a holiday episode. Needless to say, the tangents ran rampant. Thank you for a great year for the first year of actually having a podcast. Hopefully next year we will only get better and have more than 4 people listening to us. Happy Holidays and remember to catch us on Instagram, facebook and email us. Sincerely, Mario aka the Godfather Marcus aka Markeysha Matthew aka Research Matt Brandon aka Shot Clock Thank you to Aidan, TJ, Charlie, Ceaser, James, Stewart, Maurice, Eric, Allison and everyone that was involved in making this adventure possible. Hopefully, 2017 will be double the fun and double the episodes.
This episode is politically charged. Straight off the heels of the 2016 Presidential election. It was a fun bourbon filled conversation. Enjoy and as always feel free to email us and tell us your likes and dislikes. Or nothing at all.
This was supposed to be the great chili cook-off between the 3 of us. But it ended up being a debate of chili vs chowder. Since Marcus and I actually made our chili and Matthew had his girlfriend make his. Don't get me wrong her Chowder was awesome but alas it was a chowder. Also, the episode was really about nothing. Nothing at all. Enjoy! Mymilitaryfriends@gmail.com Mymilitaryfriends_podcast on Instagram My Military Friends on Facebook
***Disclaimer***Disclaimer***Disclaimer*** The beginning of this podcast talks about alcoholism and rehab. Although we do drink during the podcast, we make it an issue to drink responsibly. With that being said, this episode starts out somber and ends up with some great and funny stories. Please feel free to drop us an email or visit us on Instagram or Facebook. This episode started out with a new guest and a veteran's day theme, and a fresh new start, but it turned out to be a sexually aggressive predatory stalking of Brandon aka Shot Clock. I actually have to thank Allison for keeping it fun for us. Hopefully, you come back and make Brandon uncomfortable again. Please let us know if you like the episode or any of the episodes we have done at mymilitaryfriends@gmail.com.
We continue to critique our bourbon and we jump into some military talk and actually run on a rant about politics. Remember that the language is very crude and the opinions of us should not be the defining factor of your vote. But do go out and vote. As always thanks for listening and you can follow us on Instagram and facebook.
Welcome to another episode. Today we taste test five different types of Bourbons and have a Fish fry off and not in that particular order. We also have popped the cherry of our newest co-host to the show CB (Color Blind) Marcus. Actually, he brings the technical aspect of the bourbon tasting to the table. Hope you enjoy the episode and as always you can find us on our Facebook page or Instagram by searching My military friends_Podcast. Again thank you to all who listen out there and continue to spread the word about this podcast. -Mario
*** Disclaimer *** Disclaimer *** Disclaimer *** All Canadians are not Jews. Allow me to introduce my new podcast mates. Brandon, Zane and Matthew. Fresh voices with seriously demented minds. Please don't judge they are slightly special. Anyway, we dip into the NFL fantasy Football game. And when I say dip we briefly glaze over it. It's good times. And even though the NFL is starting its second week we still manage to accomplish some kind of banter. Even it isn't about football. Still drinking beer. Still making crude jokes. Still being military friends. Thank you for listening and enjoy. Please leave us feedback on how we are doing or if there is a topic you may want discuss. Maybe you can join us on the show.
*** Disclaimer *** Disclaimer *** Disclaimer *** So I kind of screwed up and submitted the second half of this podcast before the first. And I kind of ran out of space on my account because I have no sponsors to help me pay for more space, which is fine because I do this with my friends for awareness (sometimes), connection with military friends/regular friends (Most of the time) and fun with all my friends (all of the time). But if a sponsor were to hook this up we could probably put out a podcast once a week. I figure, out of all the different types of beers we drink on the show we should be able to get at lease 1 sponsor. At any rate, the same rules apply to this podcast as it did to the other podcasts. Very Strong language and lots of laughs. Please don't judge us we are just reliving past lives. As always thanks for listening. But if we were lucky enough to land a sponsor and they were to hook this up, we could probably put out a podcast once a week. I figure, out of all the different types of beers we drink on the show we should be able to get at lease 1 sponsor. I guess we will just keep giving shout outs until someone discovers us. At any rate, the same rules apply to this podcast as it did to the other podcasts. Very Strong language and lots of laughs. Please don't judge us we are just reliving past lives. As always thanks for listening.
***Disclaimer***DISCLAIMER***Disclaimer*** So just for the record, there are many usages of very colorful language (I think the N-bomb gets dropped twice) Also there are conversations about homosexuality, promiscuity, drug use, excessive alcohol use and adultery. I encourage you not to pass judgment because we are literally old friends catching up and reminiscing of past youthful angst. There are also names mentioned in this podcast of things that may or may not have happened 20 years ago. If you have any comment about this episode please feel free to join me via skype or phone to rebut any false or otherwise misunderstood claims. 20 years is a long time, some recounts of a specific encounter may not be accurate. Anyway enjoy. Look for part 2 soon. This one is a long one.
This is part 2 of my Podcast with Steve. We wanted to do more but sadly he got really busy at the scout ranch and we couldn't get another podcast in. We will skype soon after the summer is over. My Military Friends Podcast Double Trouble DJs' edition. Hope you guys enjoy the Podcast. Remember this is part 2 of 2 with Steve and part 2 of 3 from my road trip.
This is Episode 2 of 3 that I mentioned in episode 6. And also Part 1 of 2 of the podcast with my buddy Steve Leapley at Mataguay Scout Ranch in Santa Ysabel, California. This podcast was over a few hours because of long interruptions, but we finally got it in. We catch up after a few years.
This episode is was done back in May but I haven't gotten the chance to post it until now. It's just me rattling on about things I wanted Anthony to learn while in the Navy. A lot of the things were things that I learned along the way. This is the first of 3 podcast that will be posted soon.
First of all I want to apologize for the background noise. We were in a new venue (Charlie's House) and I did not anticipate the background noises but it wasn't too bad. Episode 005 takes us into the serious topic of PTSD and Depression among veterans. This is not to say that veterans are better than anyone else with a mental illlness. The intent is to bring awareness to these issues for both military and civilian alike. Thanks to Cesar, James, TJ and Charlie for sharing their different experiences with their depression and PTSD. They shared their triggers, their symptoms and their experiences with VA physicians. And even though our solutions to these issues seem simple; we have a long way to go. Shout out to #Mission22, #VAHospitals, #Cigarsandseastories. If you listen to this Podcast and you suffer from depression or PTSD please know that their are options and seek help. www.myhealth.va.gov
The topic we choose for this episode was the changes in the military. More specifically the Navy. With me being the old guy with 2 decades of Navy time under my belt we attempt to compare experiences. We have an FMF Warfare device discussion. Dinner was made, the wives were in the background, we had critiqued some pretty signature beers and tried Aidan's home made "Whiskey" aka gasoline. I feel we could have channeled deeper into this episode but in the interest of time we cut things short. As always follow us on Instagram My Military friends_Podcast and email us at Mymilitaryfriends@gmail.com.
I apologize to our audience because in an attempt to do two podcasts back to back, Episode 003 proves to be a lesson in over indulgence and complete FAILURE. Fonder's, Dogfish head and Southern Tier play first hand roles in this podcast. TJ does his best version of Robert Dinero and Christopher Walken as the conversation dips into the circumstances that lead us to the military. Slurred speech, uncontrolled laughter, and sometimes unintelligible conversation ensues but eventually we get to the point of the conversation. Shout out to Kyle Promisson.
Episode 002 of My Military Friends podcast jumps into our favorite music. Inspirational artist or band was the key component in this conversation. We also added a new voice as James Stewart joins the usual crew of Mario, Aidan and TJ. Also in this episode we give a few shout outs to Ceser Esquivel, The Cigars and sea stories podcast, Grayslake, Illinois VFW and a few beer companies that we like.
In our very "First Episode" of My Military Friends Podcast we jump knee deep into a discussion about our drinks, our favorite actor in a captivating role, speak about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on his birthday and at some point talk about Presidential Candidate Martin O'Malley. Beers Critiqued: Stone: Coffee Milk Stout, Two Brothers: Red Eye Rye Coffee Porter, Young's: Double Chocolate Stout.
