This is the last message from our series in thee book of Philippians. As we've read and studied Paul's letter for several weeks now, how are we going to respond and carry out his instructions. Throughout the last 3 chapters of Philippians, Paul has been clear in what it looks like to live out the Christian life.
Paul has just got done addressing the people in Philippi who were insisting that the religious law be followed. He remind us in the earlier passage that those people were missing the point. Its not about rule following, its about a relationship with Jesus.
We've been in a series going through the book of Philippians. We are starting Philippians 3, Salvation and the life we were created for is only found in a relationship with Christ. Questions What do you see people striving for in our culture? How about in your own life? What does it mean to know Christ? What would happen if you considered all things a “loss” and “garbage” for Christ's sake? What things might you have to consider loss that you now value? What's one way you can grow to know Christ more? How will this help?
Continuing our series in Philippians. When we live out our faith, some of us may be able to say the right things, sing the right songs, act a certain way, but what happens if we lose the “why” behind our Faith? The temptation is to fit Christianity into our own desires rather than what God would desire for us. What happens when our Faith becomes more self-seeking than God-seeking? Discussion Questions: What is one way God has uniquely gifted you that would allow you to effectively be a bright light in the darkness? How does God's word equip us to live different than culture? How can you partner with the other students in this circle to make sure that the light of Jesus never goes out? Take out your phones or your journals and write down 5 names of people that you know that are far from Jesus. Then by each name write down one way you are going to actively be a bright light for Jesus in their life. Now, share these names and ideas with your group!
We are continuing our series in the book of Philippians and looking at the importance of unity. We must work together to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. That's our mission. That's our goal. It's only possible if we do it together. Unity MUST start in the Church if we want to see it in culture.
Week 3, as we continuing our series on the book of Philippians. Suffering does not mean God's favor is removed from you. In fact, His favor is with you through suffering.
This is week 2 of our series in Philippians. Last week we started our series studying Paul's letter to the Philippian, we saw the introduction to the most joy filled letter he ever wrote. We learned a lot from the response of Paul in a dark situation, but I think we have a lot to learn from the Philippians. Discussion Questions Describe a hard season of your life. How was God faithful in the middle of that season? What challenged you? How did He use you? What are some practical ways for us to identify God's power on display in our lives? How can we encourage those around us to actively choose to see the way God is working in their lives? How do we focus on God's handiwork rather than the negative?

1 Peter 2:4-12. Jesus MUST be the cornerstone of our foundation, but also be at the center of the blocks that are used to build off the foundation. Seek to live on a foundation that will continue to allow you to build, not one that will eventually make you fall.
