Join Us for Worship: Sundays at 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM https://www.flourishinggrace.org/plan-your-visit In this powerful message from Luke 11:1-13, Pastor Benjamin explores the revolutionary truth that God actually loves to be bothered by His children. When Jesus' disciples asked Him to teach them how to pray, His response reveals three foundational truths about our relationship with the Father that will transform how we approach prayer forever. Many believers struggle with prayer because they fundamentally misunderstand God's heart toward them. We often view Him as distant, annoyed by our constant needs, or too busy with global crises to care about our personal struggles. This sermon dismantles those misconceptions by examining Jesus' parable of the persistent friend and His teaching on the Lord's Prayer. Through relatable illustrations about parenting and childhood boldness, Pastor Benjamin demonstrates that God desires us to approach Him with the same audacious confidence that children show toward loving parents. The message unpacks three life-changing truths about God's character. First, God genuinely loves to be bothered by our prayers and requests. Unlike earthly relationships where we must earn access or worry about overstepping boundaries, our heavenly Father has purchased our access through Christ and invites bold, persistent prayer. Second, God wants to give us Himself through the Holy Spirit, not just fix our circumstances. While we often focus on getting God to solve our problems, He offers something far greater in His very presence and companionship through difficulty. Third, through Christ we are adopted sons and daughters, not slaves or employees trying to earn God's favor. Using the acronym PAUSE, this practical teaching walks through Jesus' model prayer in Luke 11, showing how to Praise His name, Acknowledge His reign, Understand your need and ask, Seek forgiveness and extend it, and Embrace your dependence on God. This isn't about formula prayers but about understanding our relationship as beloved children who can confidently approach their Father's throne of grace. Whether you're new to prayer or have struggled with feeling distant from God, this message will encourage you to approach Him with childlike boldness, knowing He delights in your requests and longs to give you the greatest gift of all - Himself. The sermon includes practical application and concludes with a powerful time of corporate prayer, demonstrating that prayer is both personal and communal in the life of believers.

https://dailypromise.com/god-loves-to-hear-his-children-pray-2/Today's Promise: Proverbs 15:8 Did you know God delights in your prayers? He is excited for you to come into His presence. Many Christians are reluctant to approach God in prayer. They feel unworthy to lift their voice and may even think, "Surely God has more important things to do than listen to my prayers." They don't realize that God actually delights in their prayer. Did you know that God loves it when you spend time with Him in prayer? When you pray, God listens. He not only listens, but he is delighted to hear your prayers. God delights in hearing from you today. He wants you to come before Him, bringing your needs, prayers, and concerns.

The cross of Christ is the proof of God's love toward sinners. While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
What if the one thing you believed disqualified you from God's love... was the very thing He ran to meet you in? Whether you've wandered far or worked hard to stay close, there's a part of us all that wonders: Am I really still worthy of love? In this message, Pastor Scotty walks us through Jesus' most famous story about two sons—one who ran, and one who resented—and the kind of Father who loves them both with arms wide open. This isn't just a story about rebellion or religion—it's about a love that refuses to give up on you. A love that doesn't wait for you to get it all right. A love that comes running. Watch now and rediscover the promise at the center of every other promise: God loves you—no matter what.
St. Paul's heartfelt appeal for generosity to support the saints in Jerusalem is far from a high-pressure fundraising pitch. Instead, the Apostle paints a vivid picture of gospel-driven generosity, emphasizing joy, freedom, and abundance rooted in God's overflowing grace. In this episode, discover how cheerful giving is intertwined with confidence in the gospel, as Paul encourages believers to give not out of obligation, but as an opportunity to express love toward their neighbor and faith and trust toward God. The Rev. David Boisclair, senior pastor at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Overland, MO, joins the Rev. Dr. Phil Booe to study 2 Corinthians 9. To learn more about Our Reedeemer, visit ourredeemerstl.org. What does it mean to follow Christ in weakness? What does true ministry look like in the face of criticism, suffering, and spiritual warfare? And how can the Church hold fast to the Gospel when pressured by the world—and even by false teachers within? On Thy Strong Word, we walk verse by verse through, arguably, the apostle Paul's most personal, emotional, and paradoxical letter: 2 Corinthians. From forgiveness and reconciliation to generous giving and boasting only in the Lord, 2 Corinthians calls every believer to follow Christ boldly. This is the way of the cross, where God's grace is sufficient and His power is made perfect in you. Thy Strong Word, hosted by Rev. Dr. Phil Booe, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church of Luverne, MN, reveals the light of our salvation in Christ through study of God's Word, breaking our darkness with His redeeming light. Each weekday, two pastors fix our eyes on Jesus by considering Holy Scripture, verse by verse, in order to be strengthened in the Word and be equipped to faithfully serve in our daily vocations. In this episode we continue our sermon series, Summer in the Sand: learning from wilderness journeys in the Bible. For this sermon we will move to the sandy wilderness near the city of Nineveh where the Old Testament prophet Jonah, still recovering from his traumatic fishing story, contemplates his next move. God had called the prophet Jonah to preach a message of repentance to the city of Nineveh, a place filled with people he deeply despised. Jonah resisted, not because he feared failure, but because he feared success—he knew that if the Ninevites repented, God would show them mercy, and that thought was unbearable to him. Yet God's lesson to Jonah was clear: His love and compassion extend to all people, even those we consider enemies. Jonah's story confronts us with a tough question—do we struggle with the same problem? Is it difficult for us to love those who have wronged us, even when God's heart is for their redemption? If God loves our enemies enough to pursue them with grace, shouldn't we at least be willing to do the same? This is a difficult teaching, but one that could radically transform your faith. Take a few minutes and check out Jonah chapter four and see what God wants you to do.
Despite our sin, and even because of it, God pours out His love for us.

At the dawn of creation, sun and moon, stars and planets, birds, beasts, fish and man freely submitted to the authority of God. And then a rebel creature invited mankind to choose their own will above the will of God. And with that, the spirit of lawlessness began to work in this world. Welcome to our series, “Resisting the Rise of Lawlessness.” In this series, Steve Gallagher and the staff of PLM will offer both scriptural and practical truth aimed at helping each one of us discern whose authority we are under. God Loves You No Matter What You Have Done or Said About God – You Cannot Separate Yourself from God's Love MESSAGE SUMMARY: No one, including you, can separate you from the love of God. While we were and are still sinners, Jesus the Christ died for us. God loves you exactly where you are; God loves you no matter what you said about Him; and He loves you no matter what you have done. In Romans 5:8-11, Paul confirms God's unconditional love for us: “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.". TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, I now take a deep breath and stop. So often I miss your hand and gifts in my life because I am preoccupied and anxious. Grant me the power to pause each day and each week to simply rest in your arms of love. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 132). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Resentment. Rather, I will abide in the Lord's Compassion. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). You've been living on daily grace—and you've gotten used to it. Just like Israel in the wilderness, many believers start out amazed by God's provision, only to grow numb when the miracle becomes routine. This message exposes how a craving for the past can corrupt your view of the present—and why God's mercy still shows up even when our maturity doesn't. From manna in the morning to meat in the evening, we explore the wild, undeserved love of a God who feeds complainers, leads the ungrateful, and refuses to give up on the fragile. But beware: what you refuse to forget may ultimately rob you of God's fullness. If you've ever felt stuck in a cycle, wrestling with entitlement, or tired of trying to earn what God already gave—you're not alone. God loves the wild ones. And He's not done with you yet.
Speaking with charity.
St. Paul reminds the people of Corinth that God's abundant grace is manifest when we cheerfully share our blessings with one another. (Lectionary #367)
What would change if you truly believed—deep down—that God loves you? In this powerful message, Ben Stuart walks through 1 John 4 to reveal the relentless, sacrificial, and unshakable love of God. The Father sent His Son. The Son gave His life. The Spirit remains with us. When you understand that love isn't earned but already given, it frees you from fear, insecurity, and striving—and empowers you to live with boldness, peace, and selfless love. This isn't just another sermon about God's love—it's an invitation to believe it, receive it, and be changed by it.
