Other Christians may not always understand you, but that doesn't mean you're doing something wrong. In fact, it may just mean that you're called to be different. To be like Christ. And that's nothing to be ashamed of. So don't give up and don't conform to what others expect of you. Be who God has called you to be. Be like Christ. This is the first step in your journey towards finding purpose: TO BE LIKE CHRIST. Forgiveness is not an option. Jesus commands us to forgive, but how do we forgive those who hurt us? Sometimes you have been hurt so badly that you can't see the person who hurt you as a human being anymore. When we are hurt by another, it is easy to blame them, hold on to the pain and forget that they too were once little children like us who have been taught to act in certain ways. We also must remember that God has a plan for every person on earth, even if they don't believe in him or her. Forgiveness is not an option because if we refuse to forgive someone who has wronged us, then we are holding on to their sin against us and that makes us just as guilty as the one who has wronged us. Forgiveness allows our hearts and minds to be set free from bitterness and anger towards those who have hurt us so that we can move forward with our lives without carrying around all the baggage from the past with us wherever we go. In this episode of the Purpose and Life Podcast, listen as Pastor Christine Desiree teaches on how to move past the pain and forgive others, even when they have hurt us. Pastor Christine Desiree started this podcast, along with her Facebook page and group to inspire, equip, disciple, and empower my listeners and you to find hope in God, grow in your faith, take hold of freedom in Christ Jesus, and recognize your purpose. I've been in church ministry for a long time, from growing up in a pastor's house to working as a professional woman and business leader and being in full-time ministry for over 20 years I've learned and experienced many things that I want to share with you. When people see me today as a working professional woman, an education leader, a business owner, an author, a pastor, a daughter, a sister, a wife, and mother, they tend to admire the person I have become without understanding what I have had to overcome in order for me to be the woman I am today. It has been a journey for me, and I get it. I understand how difficult it can be for people to understand and apply Biblical principles to their daily lives. I know how hard it can be to live out our Christian faith. So my desire is to share my experiences with you and help you overcome obstacles and challenges, breathe life into the dying circumstances and dead situations in your life, and inspire you to fulfill and realize your God-given purpose. Subscribe to this podcast, like and follow Pastor Christine Desiree's pages on Facebook and Instagram, join her private community Facebook group and join her beginning May 1st, week after week as she teaches the Word of God, listen to your concerns, shares her experiences, answers your deepest questions about life, and challenges you to grow deeper in your walk with the Lord and motivate you to live and activate your God-given purpose at the intersection of life and faith.
