HOUR 1 Hour 1 of https://RushToReason.com opens with intensity as John Rush is joined by Dr. Kelly Victory, an independent physician known for challenging mainstream medical narratives. Together, they tackle explosive questions about medical ethics, patient trust, and whether ideology is creeping into health care decisions. Can patients be treated differently based on political beliefs—and who holds providers accountable if that happens? The conversation pivots to a disturbing trend: the sharp rise in aggressive colon cancer among adults under 50. Why now? Dr. Kelly breaks down immune dysfunction, delayed screening guidelines, and why early detection may matter more than ever. They also examine vaccines through a strict risk-versus-benefit lens, questioning long-term effects, unresolved scientific gaps, and why so many questions were never answered before the mandates were rolled out. As the hour closes, the focus shifts to personal choice versus government control, including whether states should set their own vaccine rules—and what that could mean for families deciding where to live. Is the public finally asking the questions it should have asked years ago? HOUR 2 Hour 2 of Rush To Reason is a fast-moving, no-filter breakdown of viral memes, cultural flashpoints, and the history many headlines leave out. John takes on trending social media claims—from Super Bowl halftime outrage to religious and political memes—asking a simple question: do these slogans survive even basic fact-checking? Drawing on history, economics, and plain logic, Rush challenges comparisons to segregation, reframes the debate over free markets and choice, and explains why competition—not conformity—drives excellence. Listeners also weigh in, connecting today's talking points to the Civil Rights era, immigration policy, and modern definitions of “choice,” especially when government mandates force others to pay the bill. The hour presses on a recurring theme: are we debating facts anymore, or just narratives? If history, data, and personal responsibility matter, why do some arguments collapse the moment scrutiny is applied? This hour equips listeners with context, counterpoints, and questions the memes don't want you asking. HOUR 3 Hour 3 of Rush To Reason moves fast and wide, with Jerzee Joe and Larry Burns joining John Rush for a conversation that blends humor, policy, and hard consequences. Jerzee Joe (https://www.jerzeejoe.com/) breaks down government programs that never seem to end, skewers media narratives, and challenges double standards on voter ID, gun ownership, taxes, and public safety. From Super Bowl “jock taxes” to states losing wealth and residents, the question keeps surfacing: when policies punish success, who actually stays? Larry Burns (https://www.powerthefuture.com/) then zeroes in on energy and regulation, explaining why rolling back sweeping EPA rules could lower costs, improve reliability, and reshape everything from cars to power plants. The hour closes by turning to artificial intelligence, where sudden breakthroughs raise urgent questions about jobs, productivity, and the massive energy demands ahead. Are we prepared for how fast things are changing—or are we still debating yesterday's rules?

Anke Richter — international journalist, author of Cult Trip, and founder of Decult — delivers a clear and uncompromising message about how high-control groups silence their critics. Before Decult's 2024 cult awareness conference, there was fear about even mentioning the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church because of their reputation for litigation. But the truth was spoken anyway.Anke lays bare the reality survivors face: the shame, the stigma, the loss of privacy, the trauma triggers, the therapy bills — and then the legal threats. Most survivors don't have publishers or lawyers backing them. They speak out alone. And they pay the price. She calls out the brutality of using “big legal guns” against activists and survivors, especially when it comes from charities acting as the PR front of a coercive religious group. Her message is simple: this is about power, intimidation, and silencing. And she will not shut up about it.To every podcaster, YouTuber, and public speaker being bullied for telling the truth — Kia Kaha. Stand tall. The first Jewish aid mission from Canada since 2019 arrived in Havana, Cuba on Feb. 3, loaded with seven extra suitcases full of batteries, pills, and hundreds of pieces of donated baseball equipment. The delegation from Toronto's Beth Sholom synagogue spent the past week delivering pharmacy supplies and other necessities–which they donated to Jewish seniors, Cuban synagogues, and even to a pharmacy housed inside the Jewish community centre in Havana, which supplies Jewish Cubans and also nearby hospitals. Local Jewish leaders say this group is the first Canadian Jewish mission to come to Cuba in nearly seven years, since before the pandemic in 2019. And officials worry there might be fewer going forward. The Canadian government raised its travel warnings for Cuba on Feb. 4, citing widespread economic problems impacting tourists, including more frequent power outages, lack of food and fresh water, and fuel shortages. The island, a popular destination for Canadians, was hit in October 2025 by a damaging monster hurricane. But the country's difficulties worsened noticeably in the last month, after the U.S. president ordered all shipments of Venezuelan oil to Cuba be halted, as part of the capture of Venezuela's former dictator Nicolas Maduro on Jan. 3. On today's episode of The CJN's flagship podcast “North Star”, host Ellin Bessner speaks with Beth Sholom's Cantor Eric Moses, who organized the trip, and with William Miller, a Jewish community leader in Havana; plus we hear from Benji Tock of Toronto. The teenager didn't make the trip, but his bar mitzvah project–collecting eight duffle bags full of donated baseball bats, cleats, gloves and other gear–arrived safely in Cuba, too, destined for local Jewish players bound for this coming summer's Maccabiah Games in Israel. The Superhero Show #613Best Album of 2025 Pt. 2The Superhero Show Show: The Best Album of 2025 Pt. 2 Bracket Reaches Its Final ShowdownJoin the hosts as The Superhero Show returns with Best Album of 2025 Pt. 2, the thrilling conclusion to their musical detour from Cadillacs and Dinosaurs. After setting the stage in part one, this episode is where the bracket tightens, the debates get sharper, and the final decision is made. With passions running high and strong opinions on the line, the hosts work their way toward crowning the album that ultimately takes the title—officially locking in the winner as the show's choice heading into 2026.Narrowing the Field: Best Album of 2025 Pt. 2 Gets CompetitiveIn Best Album of 2025 Pt. 2, the bracket resumes with fewer contenders and much higher stakes. Albums that survived the first round now face tougher matchups, forcing the hosts to compare not just quality, but impact, longevity, and cultural relevance. Each discussion digs deeper into sound, experimentation, and how these records defined the year.As the bracket progresses, earlier favorites get tested, surprise underdogs gain momentum, and consensus becomes harder to reach. The episode captures that turning point where casual debate turns into full-on advocacy.Critics vs. Personal Picks: The Final BattlesThis episode also highlights the collision between critically acclaimed albums and the hosts' personal favorites. Records like Lux by Rosalía, Debí Tirar Más Fotos by Bad Bunny, Mayhem by Lady Gaga, Let God Sort Em Out by Clipse, Choke Enough by OKLOU, Getting Killed by Geese, Viagra Boys by Viagra Boys, and Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party by Hayley Williams all come back into focus as the hosts reassess which albums truly deserve to advance.Because the field is smaller, every elimination feels bigger. The hosts revisit earlier arguments, challenge their own assumptions, and wrestle with whether innovation, emotional connection, or sheer replay value should matter most. The Final Vote: Best Album of 2025 Pt. 2 Crowns a WinnerAs Best Album of 2025 Pt. 2 reaches its climax, the hosts make their final votes. The bracket closes, the debates settle, and one album rises above the rest. Whether the winner is a critical darling, a personal favorite, or an unexpected champion, the decision feels earned after two episodes of passionate discussion.Final Thoughts: Best Album of 2025 Pt. 2 Delivers the VerdictIn the end, Best Album of 2025 Pt. 2 delivers exactly what it promises: a decisive, spirited conclusion to The Superhero Show's biggest musical experiment yet. By borrowing the “Best Of” format from Movie of the Year and applying it to music, the hosts prove they can argue albums with the same intensity they bring to TV and film. With a winner officially crowned and carried into 2026, this episode stands as a loud, fun, and deeply opinionated celebration of a standout year in music.Looking for More?Want more "Best of 2025" episodes? In this episode, Lisa and Jeff discuss:Why college prestige alone no longer guarantees strong early career outcomes — and what matters more insteadHow internships, micro-credentials, and co-ops now function as proof of employabilityHow parental decision-making and assumptions about higher ed are shifting post-2008Where higher education still falls short in delivering hands-on learning and the durable skills students needKey Takeaways: Since the 2008–2009 recession, UCLA data shows the primary reason for attending college flipped from “learning” to “getting a job,” shifting students toward business/STEM and prompting colleges like Denison and Wake Forest to invest in career centers and experiential learning. Families benefit from a career-first college planning approach. Research with Burning Glass Institute shows skills + internships sharply reduce underemployment across every major, making internships the strongest hedge against post-grad drift. Students who wait will be at a disadvantage. Co-op campuses (Cincinnati, Drexel, Northeastern, RIT) embed mandatory work experience, but students still need agency to secure roles, and early credentials can accelerate access to internships. As AI reshapes the workforce, liberal arts colleges must intentionally layer durable skills and hands-on learning, with programs like Denison Edge illustrating how institutions can bridge academic learning with employer skill demands. “[Liberal arts colleges] need to lean into the durable skills that will last a lot longer than the degree.” – Jeff SelingoAbout Jeff Selingo: Jeff Selingo has written about colleges and universities for more than 25 years and is a New York Times bestselling author of four books. His latest, Dream School: Finding the College That's Right for You (September 2025), draws on more than two years of research and a survey of some 3,000 parents to give families permission to think more broadly about what signals a “good” college and then the tools to discover their dream school. He is also the author of Who Gets In & Why: A Year Inside College Admissions, named one of the New York Times's 100 Notable Books of the Year in 2020.A regular contributor to The Atlantic, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal, Jeff is a special advisor to the president and professor of practice at Arizona State University. Most of us want God to change our situation. We pray for deliverance, clarity, breakthrough, relief. But in Scripture, God often works in a different order than we expect. Before He delivers, He reveals. Before He sends Moses to Pharaoh, He introduces Moses to Himself in a deeper way. Exodus 3 is not primarily about a burning bush—it’s about a revealing God.
