  A pastoral word for the new year from Lay Elder Chance Coe, reflecting on where we’ve been in 2025 and challenging us to enter 2026 with an obedience fueled by faith, stepping into the waters of the year and listening to the Spirit as we work together to push back darkness.

  Jesus came to us in the middle of our world, rife with poverty and struggle. By His birth and through His life, we see that He can truly identify with us and that God is actively working to redeem His broken world.

In response to the wonder of Jesus' resurrection and victory over death and the grave, Easter stands alone as the most joyful, boisterous day we observe each year.

Palm Sunday begins Holy Week and remembers Jesus' “Triumphal Entry” into Jerusalem. We see that Jesus doesn't always fit our expectations, but He is far better than we imagine Him to be. With the disciples, we seek to respond with faith that seeks understanding.
