For years, firms like MicroStrategy turned buying Bitcoin into a corporate cheat code—raising billions, pumping token prices, and fueling meme-driven hype. But the magic loop has snapped. In this video, we break down why the “infinite money glitch” stopped working, how leveraged ETFs magnified losses, and why even Michael Saylor is now hoarding dollars. From gamma trades to meme economics, this is the story of how hype capitalism hit a wall.Zeke Faux on Good Work : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exoNex2Yn5wPatrick's Books:Statistics For The Trading Floor: https://amzn.to/3eerLA0Derivatives For The Trading Floor: https://amzn.to/3cjsyPFCorporate Finance: https://amzn.to/3fn3rvC Ways To Support The Channel:Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/PatrickBoyleOnFinanceBuy Me a Coffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/patrickboyle
This week, I talk with Jeff Sheldon, designer and founder of Ugmonk. Jeff's story is about more than building a successful brand—it's about choosing craft over scale and staying true to what you love. We talk about why he turned down Shark Tank at the peak of a viral Kickstarter, how his childhood love of drawing grew into a career in design, and what he's learned about perfectionism, entrepreneurship, and the emotional cost of mastery. We also explore the quieter parts of his journey: the role his marriage has played, his philosophy of work and life, and how he continues to create intentionally 16 years in. If you're trying to make meaningful things without losing yourself in the process, this conversation is for you. Let's get to it. I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Sunday morning, the 30th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to the Book of Ephesians 4:28: ”Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labour, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.”I want to speak today about the blue-collar worker. We want to speak today about the manual labourer. Never despise a person who works with their hands, whether it is a man or a woman. You know that Jesus was one of them, wasn't He? That's right, He was a carpenter. He was not a priest, He was a carpenter. Adam was the first farmer in the Bible, so was Noah. Noah was a farmer, Abraham was a farmer, Isaac and Jacob were farmers. Peter, James and John were fishermen. Mary was a housewife. She was the mother of the Saviour of the world. She had more impact on our Master's upbringing than anybody else, a mother who looked after her babies.I want to say to you today, the mechanic, the miner, the road-worker, the electrician, the blacksmith, the boiler-maker, the cabinet maker, the cook - these are ordinary people who make the world go around. Oh yes! Oh yes! Never criticise a farmer with your mouth full! You have heard of that saying before, because if you have no food to eat, you are going to die. I want to tell you a little story. When I gave my life to Christ, my wife and I, it was a long time ago, it was on the 18th of February 1979, and I was so excited when I met the Saviour. I went home and I said to Jill, “We are going to give the farm away. I am going to go to Bible College and study to be a pastor to look after people.” I went up to the mountains, I fasted and prayed for 6 days and Jill stayed at home and she was also fasting and praying, and God gave us one scripture. We both got the same scripture, can you believe that? I came home, I said, “I have got the answer”. She smiled and she said, “I know, I have got it too.” God gave us a scripture that you can find in 2 Corinthians 9:8: “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.” “Stay on the farm, don't give it away. Make it a place for My Holy Spirit to move.” And look what has happened since then! Yes, we have made employment on the farm, we had a children's home on this farm, we have a church on the farm. We started one of the men's movements in the world on this farm, written books, made movies. Just be careful that you don't give up your trade because you probably have more impact on people than any preacher.God bless you and goodbye.

A Prayer for God to Continue the Good Word He Has Started by: Gina Smith Parenting doesn’t end when our kids become adults—it simply changes form. In this episode from Gina Smith, we reflect on the truth of Philippians 1:6 and the lifelong process of trusting God to continue His good work in our children. From the early days of learning that every child is uniquely created, to the complex seasons of parenting adult children, this devotion reminds us that God is the one shaping their hearts and guiding their growth. Reference: Philippians 1:6 Prayer: Father, thank you for the promise that you will complete the good work that you have begun in my children, in me, and in our family. Help me to rely on you as you grow my children into their new roles as adults and help me to not have expectations or make everything about me. Help me to be able to patiently step back and allow them to learn and grow as adults and help me to continue to grow and learn in my new role as mom of adult children. I want it all about you and your work in their lives, and not about me and what I hope our relationship might look like. In this episode, Paul tells the Philippian church that it was God who began the work, and will continue the work until it is complete!
We've all been there—reaching for things we hope will fill us up, only to find ourselves still thirsty. Maybe it's scrolling for connection, working for validation, or shopping for satisfaction. These "broken cisterns," as Jeremiah calls them, can't hold what we're really longing for. But here's the beautiful truth: God offers us something better—a spring of living water that never runs dry. And when we drink from that source, something amazing happens. The grace we receive doesn't just stay inside us; it flows out through our lives in meaningful ways. We were literally created for good works—not to earn God's love, but to express it. The work we do, the character we build, the fruit we produce—it all becomes an overflow of being loved and filled by the right Source. So the question isn't whether you're perfect or have it all together. The question is simply this: Where are you going when you're thirsty? Because what we turn to shapes not just our own lives, but everyone watching. And when people see us drinking from living water, they start to wonder where they might find it too.

This episode is a special one. After a year of interviewing thoughtful, world-class guests, I wanted to share more of my own story. So I asked my dear friend, and episode 01 guest, James Clear, to turn the mic on me. We talk about the formative moments in my life— from childhood patterns and baseball memories to the inner work I've done to stop striving without purpose and start accepting myself more fully. I share why I believe that most successful people already know what to do—they just need help getting past their individual emotional blockers. We explore the coaching frameworks I use, the lessons I'm still learning, and why I no longer believe I have to suffer to do good in the world. This is the most personal conversation I've ever had on the show, and I'm incredibly grateful to James for holding it with so much care. Let's get to it! How should I follow Jesus in this broken and sinful world? If good works don't save me, should I try to do them? This Sunday, as Paul ends his letter to Titus, we'll see that believing and living in Christ means that we'll also live lives devoted to good works. Our good works won't save us, but we are certainly called to do them as humble heirs in God's kingdom.Titus 3

We're all in search of that one thing that will bring us happiness and contentment. And this week, Charles Tapp reveals its source, but it requires some honesty and soul-searching, as he shares the fourth and final part in his series "God's Good Work: Lessons from Phillippians" with his message "The Secret of Contentment."
Because God being made in God's image includes work, rest, and play, we must image him in these ways. Genesis 1:27–2:3 (ESV): 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” 29 And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. 30 And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so. 31 And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. 2 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. 3 So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.
