Why do our brains tend to lean negative ?

Play Episode Listen Later Jun 24, 2022 23:45

why do our minds lean negative? mini- self-test: What do you usually remember first, the bad part of the day or the good part of the day? It makes sense that our brains lean negative if you think about the nature of humans and how evolved from our ancestors the caveman to the present. We are survivalists; your brain is designed to keep you alive and hates pain or discomfort. YOUR brain is so amazing that it creates ways to protect you from "danger" whatever that may look like. If our mind is powerful enough to make us believe more negative stuff does it not have that same power to make us believe we are not in danger and that it doesn't need to protect us that hard anymore because our environment is safer than in the past? Does your mind not have the ability to think you deserve more credit than what you give yourself.  Don't fear, there is a way to change that, and it's thanks to neuroplasticity!
