Zach returns from Italy with a sobering reminder from Rome's ruins that every earthly kingdom eventually falls, but the kingdom of God keeps moving forward. Jase, Al, and Zach dig into how trials expose what comfort hides, and what it means to have a double-minded soul. Jase helps Zach's son, Bear, through a panicky faith moment, and it ends up being an awesome reminder of the courage young Christians need in today's world. The origin of the universe is not merely a question of science—but a matter of faith. Is everything the result of random evolution, or the product of a sovereign creator? Pastor Mike Fabarez compares both creationism and evolution to see which belief has the best evidence.
Central United Methodist Church (Arlington, Virginia) Sermon Podcast
Disciples Love BoldlySeries: Forward Through the FlameScripture: Mark 12:28–34 (Common English Bible)What is the most important commandment of all? When a religious scholar asked Jesus that question, he was really asking what truth holds everything else together. Out of 613 commandments in the Torah, which one mattered most?Jesus answered by joining two commands that can never be separated: love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. In this message, Rev. Sarah Harrison-McQueen explores what it means to become disciples who love boldly—not with a shallow or sentimental love, but with a love that engages our whole lives.Drawing from Mark 12, we discover that loving God involves far more than religious belief or occasional devotion. It means bringing our entire selves before God: our choices, our questions, our hopes, our fears, our strengths, and even the parts of ourselves we would rather keep hidden.Jesus reminds us that faith is never meant to remain compartmentalized. Love for God touches every area of life, shaping how we think, how we spend our time, how we use our gifts, and how we relate to others. But Jesus does not stop there. He immediately connects love for God with love for neighbor. The two are inseparable. Genuine faith is revealed not merely through worship or religious activity, but through the way we treat the people around us—especially those who challenge, frustrate, or differ from us.This sermon also explores a vital but often overlooked part of the commandment: "Love your neighbor as yourself." Healthy love of neighbor requires receiving God's grace for ourselves as well. We cannot continually pour out compassion if we never allow ourselves to experience compassion. God's love fills us so that it can overflow into the lives of others.Drawing on the teachings of John Wesley and the Methodist understanding of social holiness, we are reminded that discipleship is not a solitary journey. We grow in love through relationships, through community, and through the daily practice of extending grace to one another.Near the end of the conversation, Jesus tells the scholar, "You are not far from God's kingdom." Those words offer hope to every disciple who is still learning how to live what they already know. The Christian life is not about perfection. It is about continuing the journey of allowing God's love to transform us more fully each day.Reflection Questions:• What gets in the way of you loving God with your whole heart, soul, mind, and strength? How could you give God more of your real self?• The Greatest Commandment teaches that loving God and loving our neighbor are inseparable. How can you show your love for God through the way you treat someone today, this week, or this month?• The Bible says to love your neighbor as yourself. That means you're supposed to treat yourself with kindness and respect, too. How do you show yourself compassion? And how could treating yourself better actually help you be more loving toward others?Bold love is not reserved for people without fear, pain, or uncertainty. It is the love of God flowing into us and through us—transforming ordinary lives into living reflections of God's grace. As we learn to love God wholeheartedly, love our neighbors faithfully, and receive God's love for ourselves, we discover that we are not far from the Kingdom of God. Support the show
It’s safe to say that no one listening witnessed the beginning of the universe. So all discussions about our origins are really conversations about faith! Pastor Mike Fabarez explains there’s ample reason to Boldly Trust in God’s Ability to Create.

In this episode of Building Texas Business, Chris Hanslik sits down with Bonnie Moss, President and CEO of MBCO, a civil engineering, surveying, and subsurface utility engineering firm she founded nearly 11 years ago. Drawing on close to three decades of industry experience across Texas, Bonnie shares what ultimately pushed her from regional manager to business owner, and how sometimes the best entrepreneurial decisions are the ones you make before you have time to overthink them.Bonnie walks through the real lessons of transitioning from engineer to business owner, including learning the hard way about accounts receivable, reading profit and loss statements, and the critical difference between being able to do a project and actually making money on it. She also reflects on the growth pains that come with scaling too quickly, what happens when business development takes a back seat to delivering work, and why hiring slowly and controlling costs are two disciplines she wishes she had internalized sooner. The conversation covers how MBCO built its culture around core values, autonomy, and a willingness to embrace failure without shame. Bonnie talks about adapting the organizational chart to fit the people on the team, surrounding herself with those who are stronger in areas she is not, and learning to lead by listening more than speaking. She also addresses the emerging pressures facing the engineering industry, from artificial intelligence automating design alternatives to autonomous grading equipment changing jobsite operations, as well as the importance of client diversification when government agency budgets slow down.Bonnie also touches on leadership fatigue as a real and underappreciated risk for founders, the value of programs like Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses for early stage entrepreneurs, and why growing fast is not the same as growing well. Her advice to anyone thinking about starting their own company is grounded and direct: control your cash, seek counsel from people who have been through it, and trust your gut.If you are a business owner, entrepreneur, or aspiring founder in the engineering or professional services space, this episode offers a candid and practical look at what it actually takes to build a firm from the ground up, sustain it through setbacks, and position it for long term growth in the Texas market.LINKSShow NotesPrevious EpisodesAbout BoyarMillerAbout MBCO Engineering
In this message from Judges 4, Pastor Jim Schultz explores the account of Deborah and Barak and the powerful call to boldly obey the Lord. While God clearly commanded Barak to lead Israel against Sisera, his hesitation serves as both a warning and a lesson for believers today. Through this remarkable story, we see God's faithfulness, His discipline, His grace, and His power to accomplish His purposes through those who trust Him.This sermon reminds us that bold obedience is not confidence in ourselves but confidence in God's Word, God's presence, and God's promises. As Deborah encouraged Barak, we are called to follow the Lord without fear, excuses, or conditions, trusting that God goes before His people and works through their faithful obedience.Whether you are facing uncertainty, fear, or a difficult decision, this study of Judges 4 will encourage you to trust God, stand firm in faith, and boldly follow where He leads.

Why do Christians evangelize—and why are so many believers afraid to talk about Jesus? In this episode of The Truth Response, the conversation centers on evangelism in a practical and encouraging way. The hosts discuss what it means to be “light in the darkness,” why sharing faith can feel intimidating, and how evangelism is often less about preaching and more about faithfully planting seeds. Through personal stories, biblical insight, and honest reflection, this episode reminds believers that they don't need to have all the answers to share the hope they've found in Christ. The discussion also explores how everyday life becomes a mission field. Whether through conversations at work, acts of kindness, personal testimony, or simply living differently, Christians are called to reflect Jesus in a dark world. The focus is not on winning arguments—but on pointing people toward truth, hope, and salvation.Clarity in chaos. Bringing hope to a chaotic world. This episode is a powerful encouragement for anyone who has ever felt nervous, unqualified, or uncertain about sharing their faith.https://linktr.ee/thetruthresponsehttps://www.instagram.com/thetruthresponse/https://www.facebook.com/thetruthresponsehttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-truth-response/id1504362531https://open.spotify.com/show/6Kpkgsy7I7zVuv5UyiRACu?si=BqwQH988RW2DpLbYg5BnSA

Sometimes we overcomplicate what God intended to be simple. We think we need to know every scripture, have every answer, or be fearless before we can share our faith. But the truth is—God is simply looking for willing hearts. In this powerful conversation, Valerie Peterson sits down with Cherie Anderson, minister, worship leader, author, and founder of STW Ministries (“Saving the World One Soul at a Time”), to talk about the urgency of evangelism and the simplicity of the Gospel.Cherie shares how her passion for reaching souls grew from a deep conviction that every believer—not just pastors or evangelists—is called to share the love of Jesus. Through missionary work, outreach ministries, and years of serving alongside her husband Randy, Cherie has witnessed firsthand how one simple act of obedience can change someone's eternity. For Cherie, evangelism isn't about perfection or performance—it's about love. She explains how so many people feel unqualified or afraid to share their faith, yet God never asked us to have all the answers. He simply asked us to be available. Whether it's offering prayer, sharing your testimony, helping someone in need, or opening a spiritual conversation with kindness, God can use ordinary moments to do extraordinary things.Cherie also shares how her book, The Gospel Made Simple, was inspired by the realization that many people misunderstand why we come to Jesus. Christianity isn't just about receiving blessings or having an easier life—it's about reconciliation with God. Jesus came to restore what sin separated and to bring heaven into our everyday lives.Throughout the conversation, Cherie emphasizes that:• The Gospel is simple when it's shared through love.• Your testimony has power.• Fear is one of the enemy's greatest tools to silence believers.• Obedience matters more than the outcome.• Every believer is called to be a witness for Christ.Cherie also speaks about the spiritual hunger she's seeing today—especially among young people. In a world full of confusion, anxiety, and emptiness, people are searching for something real. And she believes revival is already stirring across the nation as hearts turn back to Jesus. This conversation is filled with encouragement and practical wisdom for anyone wanting to grow in boldness and faith:Stay grounded in God's Word.Find a Bible-based church and community.Walk in accountability with other believers. And most importantly—don't let fear keep you silent. You don't have to be perfect to share Jesus. You just have to say yes. What's one simple way God may be asking you to share His love with someone today?Contact Cherie Anderson: getfreeinjesus@gmail.comFor more information contact us atrtrdestiny@gmail.com

Most of us are far more practiced at imagining what could go wrong than at imagining what God could do. We replay worst-case scenarios, brace for bad news, and quietly scale down our prayers to a size that feels safe — requests small enough that disappointment won't sting too badly if the answer doesn't come. But what if that careful, cautious approach to prayer is actually a way of placing a ceiling over a God who has no ceiling? Jeremiah 33:3 was spoken into one of the darkest moments in Israel's history — a city under siege, houses destroyed, neighbors slaughtered, streets fallen silent. And yet into that devastation, God spoke a word not of survival but of abundance: call to me, and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. Things beyond what you can imagine. Not just restoration to normal, but something more. The same God who spoke those words to a city in ruins is speaking them to you today — into whatever place in your life looks like rubble, whatever situation feels beyond recovery, whatever prayer you have been afraid to pray because it seems too big to be answered. God's power is not limited by what we think is possible. His grace and compassion extend far beyond what we have yet dared to believe. It is time to stop praying small and start asking boldly. Interested in creating something new with us!? Take Our Newsletter Survey! Bible Verse "Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known." — Jeremiah 33:3, ESV Ponder Today The way we use our imaginations matters — when we habitually rehearse worst-case scenarios, we train our hearts toward fear rather than toward the limitless possibilities of a God who can do immeasurably more. God spoke His most expansive promises into Israel's darkest moment — which means our hardest circumstances are not obstacles to His power, they are often the very backdrop against which He does His greatest work. Praying small requests because they feel safer is a subtle way of limiting God — Jeremiah 33:3 invites us to stretch our prayers beyond what feels reasonable and trust a God whose power far exceeds our understanding. God does not just promise to restore things to normal — He promises to do more than we can dream, which means our boldest prayers may still fall short of what He has planned. Nothing is too hard for God — not the rubble in our circumstances, not the silence where joy used to be, not the situation that has gone so long without an answer that we have nearly stopped asking. Today's Prayer Lord God, You are able to do immeasurably more than I can ask or imagine. Yet I confess that I so often let my mind drift toward fear, doubt, and worst-case scenarios. Forgive me for limiting You to what seems possible in my own understanding. Renew my mind to think on the good and beautiful things You can do, even in the hardest circumstances. Where I see rubble and ruins, help me believe You can rebuild something amazing. Where I see sadness and loss, remind me that You can restore my joy. Stretch my prayers beyond what feels safe and small, and help me trust that nothing is too hard for You. I place my hopes, my needs, and my future in Your hands. In Jesus' name, Amen. Pastor Luke walks through Acts 3–5, centering the sermon around one big idea: the Spirit-filled church is bold in mission and serious about holiness. He opens with the healing of a lame man at the Beautiful Gate, where Peter declares, "In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk" (Acts 3:6). Pastor Luke emphasizes that the miracle wasn't done in Peter's authority but in the name and power of Jesus — a theme that echoes throughout all three chapters. Rather than basking in the crowd's amazement, Peter seizes the moment to point to God's glory, calling the people to repent and turn back so their sins might be blotted out. As the church faces growing opposition from the Jewish leaders, Pastor Luke highlights how the early believers responded not with fear or retreat, but with prayer, boldness, unity, and open-handed generosity. Acts 4:29 captures their prayer well: "Grant your servants to speak your word with all boldness." This Spirit-empowered boldness stands in sharp contrast to the hypocrisy of Ananias and Sapphira, who lied to the Holy Spirit about the proceeds of their land. Their story serves as a sobering reminder that the same Holy Spirit who unifies and emboldens the church also brings judgment against hidden sin and corruption. Pastor Luke closes by pressing the congregation with two searching questions: Am I willing to take God seriously? and Whose name am I living for? Drawing on Proverbs 3:5–6 and 1 John 1:9, he calls believers to courageously confess their sin, live holy lives, and boldly exalt the name of Jesus — even in the face of opposition. Like Peter and John, who declared "we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard" (Acts 4:20), the church today is called to rejoice in suffering and keep proclaiming the name that is above every name.

Making Time for Your Next Chapter — mitchmatthews.com/time (free with code H2LEADERSHIP) In this episode, Alan Briggs sits down with Mitch Matthews — coach, speaker, and host of the Dream Think Do podcast — for a conversation that feels less like an interview and more like two coaches getting honest with each other over coffee. Mitch is the CEO of a training organization focused on helping executives, entrepreneurs, and founders define what success actually means to them — and then build a plan to go after it. What unfolds is a wide-ranging, practical, and genuinely fun dialogue about dreams, the questions that unlock them, the questions that shut people down, and what it looks like to lead well in a moment of historic change. If you've ever locked up when someone asked you what your big dream is — or if you've watched someone else lock up when you asked them — this episode is going to reframe how you think about that conversation entirely. What You'll Learn in This Episode: Mitch's origin story — from a 12-year-old loitering at a bike shop in Iowa to discovering his life's calling at a Schwinn Selling School at 14 Why Mitch calls his work "success coaching" instead of life or executive coaching — and why that distinction matters The Dream Think Do framework — why dreaming has to come before thinking, and why most people start strategizing too early Why the question "what's your big dream?" actually shuts people down — and the better questions to ask instead The power of the word "might" — and how one small word change opens up possibilities that pressure closes off What semantic interference is and why it matters for every leader, coach, mentor, and manager in the room The story of the first Big Dream Gathering — how a product nightmare in 2006 became a movement now happening on college campuses and corporate retreats across the country Why dreams have seasons — and how to tell the difference between a dream that isn't right and a dream that just isn't right yet How the best leaders are navigating AI — standing in the tension of what's scary and what's possible at the same time Why AI is actually making people hunger for real human connection — and what that means for coaches and leaders Alan and Mitch coach each other live on the question "what do you want?" — and what makes a great clarifying question great Reflection Questions: What's something you want to experience more often — and what would it take to give yourself permission to pursue it? Are you dreaming before you think, or are you jumping straight to strategy before you've given yourself enough space to imagine? Where in your leadership are you standing in the tension between what's scary and what's possible? Mind Over Matters w Dr. Aimee Pro-Aging: The Art of Growing Boldly 04.11.26 by WCPT 820 Weekend
There are demonic beings operating in the world today. They run amok on this planet because people have empowered them by believing and yielding to their lies. The way to change this situation isn't by dealing directly with demons in prayer. Their power is cut off when people believe the Truth of The Gospel. As individuals, families, and communities come out of deception, the powers of darkness are weakened and broken.
Title: How to Boldly BarterScripture Reading: Genesis 18:20-26Series: Be Bold!Is it possible for a mere human to negotiate with the Creator of the universe? In this message, we explore Abraham's remarkable negotiation with God over the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah, revealing how boldness is the Greatest Commandment in action. We see how Abraham demonstrates Bold Belief by appealing to God's character as a just, merciful, and righteous judge rather than trying to 'design' a god of his own making. This negotiation also exposes Abraham's Bold Burden for others as he intercedes for his nephew Lot, a practice of intercession that ultimately points us to Jesus—the one righteous man whose sacrifice saves the many. Commit to interceding for others in prayer this week, trusting in the perfect justice and mercy of the one true Judge.

Women's History Month SeriesBeth Ann Kaminkow is CEO of Dentsu Americas and Chief Global Client Officer of Dentsu. Before that, she served as Global Chief Commerce Officer at WPP and CEO New York at VML. She was also the first female CEO at Tracy Lock in its 100-year history. Recently, she was named one of Ad Age's Leaders to Watch in 2026.What I love about this conversation is how Beth Ann talks about the "little girl version" of herself. She didn't dream of being a ballerina. Instead, she dreamed of working. She'd line up her stuffed animals and give speeches. She'd play cashier, receptionist, leader. In other words, work ethic wasn't something she learned. It was hardwired. At the same time, she was obsessed with Diane von Furstenberg and Mary Tyler Moore. To her, they represented women who owned their femininity, their confidence, and their desire to work hard. We also talked about navigating a male-dominated industry. Early on, Beth Ann recognized that business performance was the language that opened doors. So naturally, she made sure that was always part of her narrative. But here's what stuck with me. She never stopped caring about culture and people.Beyond that, she's honest that things haven't changed as much as we'd like to think. Certain themes are cyclical. Others remain ever-present.We then got into energy management. For Beth Ann, it comes down to non-negotiables. Running. Sleep. Eating well. As a result, she leaves parties early. She turns down great invitations. She has FOMO sometimes. Still, she knows herself. She can't burn the candle at both ends the way some people can. And because of that, she protects what she needs to show up for others. Her advice is clear: be a serious person if you want to be taken seriously. But at the same time, don't take yourself so seriously. That's her North Star. Finally, for women specifically, ambition is in short supply. If you feel it inside yourself, keep that flame burning. And most importantly, find the people who ignite it further.Connect with Beth Ann: https://www.linkedin.com/in/beth-ann-kaminkow-b714042/THE RE:INVENTION EXCHANGE - for more Inspired Content, Blogs, Podcasts, RE:INVENTION Virtual Chats, or to buy a copy of my book RE:INVENT YOUR LIFE!
