Change is good, so they say. It's something that has to happen from time to time, to keep things fresh. To keep people interested and wondering what the heck is going on. Y'know...to keep people talking. Such is the case here. "The Voice of Steve Podcast" is no more. From now on, you'll be listening to "The Stuff and Things Podcast with The Voice of Steve". Think of it as an effort on my part to let you, the ever-important listener, know what the heck just MIGHT be going on with this goofy show!The other changes will be more subtle and take time. Think of what goes on when a company changes it's name. They gotta use up all'a them memo pads and pens and stuff that has the old name on 'em. Me? I just have to change a bunch of segment intros and stuff, some of which I really like and am worried I won't be able to duplicate or improve upon as I make the change.So, hang in there. As you'll notice when you listen...this is pretty much the same show that you've been listening to for the last eight years. By that I mean: Just 'cuz I gots a snazzy new name for the show, that don't mean there's any more redemptive value in it. It's still just 20 minutes to a half hour of me being as goofy and silly as I can possibly be at that moment. Seems like things are just...different now. Starting with the shocking murder of YouTube star and "The Voice" finalist Christina Grimmie, this weekend has changed my view of the world and my place in it. Ms. Grimmie's death was followed by the slaughter of 50 people by someone who was either told by his religion, or more specifically, told by certain people who have perverted his religion, that gay people needed to die.The world became a bit scarier this weekend. Not a fan of that. My thoughts and prayers go to Christina Grimmie and her family and to the victims of the nightclub shooting and their families. I did my best to push some light and fun into our world this weekend. Not sure I was entirely successful.
