The NFL coaching carousel is spinning fast. Some teams made smart hires. Others? Big question marks. In this livestream, I break down:The newly hired NFL head coachesWhether each hire is actually a good fitWhich teams still need a coach — and who SHOULD be on their shortlistWhat history tells us about first-time head coaches vs retreadsWhich situations are set up to succeed… and which feel doomed alreadyIf you care about roster fit, quarterback development, front office alignment, and not just splashy names, this is the breakdown you want.
Willard and Dibs explain why, for the first time, the Giannis Antetokounmpo-to-the-Warriors conversations may actually make sense for the first time.
Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk joined the show. Mike said there was reason for Mike McCarthy speaking highly of Aaron Rodgers yesterday and it wasn't just about wanting the QB back – it still, ultimately, comes down to Rodgers wanting to play. Mike said Rodgers coming back doesn't make sense because he's not close to the same player as he was when he worked with McCarthy. Mike expected the Steelers to get a coach that was wanted and sought after by multiple teams – they did the opposite with McCarthy, who only really had one option. Mike talked about the Steelers zigging in the coaching process when they are used to zagging and going with a young, up-and-coming assistant coach. Mike said the ‘QB whisperer' stuff with McCarthy is very over-blown and often walked into situations that already had great QBs.
In this episode of Partnering Leadership, futurists Bob Johansen and Jamais Cascio join the conversation to explore the ideas behind their new book, The Age of Chaos: A Sense-Making Guide to a BANI World That Doesn't Make Sense. Both guests bring decades of deep foresight work, scenario planning, and leadership insight—Bob through more than 50 years with the Institute for the Future, and Jamais as the originator of the BANI framework (“brittle, anxious, nonlinear, incomprehensible”). Their combined perspectives create a powerful lens for leaders facing a world where old assumptions and linear playbooks no longer hold.Across the discussion, they argue that today's disruptions are not isolated shocks. They are interconnected, compounding forces that make the environment fundamentally different from the “VUCA world” many leaders were trained for. Johansen and Cascio unpack how brittleness shows up in organizations disguised as efficiency, why anxiety has become a rational and necessary signal, and how nonlinearity rewrites traditional cause-and-effect expectations. They challenge leaders to rethink certainty, decision-making, and the stories they tell inside their organizations. At the heart of the conversation is a clear message: leading in a BANI world requires a shift in mindset. The best leaders will cultivate clarity instead of certainty, ask better questions instead of providing fast answers, and build organizations that bend rather than break under pressure. Cascio highlights how empathy, diverse perspectives, and even “useful wrongness” serve as strategic advantages. Johansen pushes leaders to think farther into the future than they are comfortable with—then work backwards to create resilient clarity in the present. The episode does not offer easy fixes. Instead, it gives listeners a framework for making sense of complexity, a set of practices to strengthen foresight, and a renewed understanding of the human side of leadership in chaotic times. For CEOs, board members, and senior executives navigating relentless uncertainty, this conversation provides both grounding and a challenge: to lead with more humility, more imagination, and more future-back discipline.Actionable TakeawaysYou'll learn why “clarity beats certainty” and how leaders who project confidence without openness can miss critical signals in chaotic environments.Hear how to spot brittleness in your systems—and why high efficiency often hides vulnerabilities that collapse under stress. You'll learn why a healthy level of anxiety is necessary and how leaders can use it to sharpen attention without slipping into dysfunction.Hear how to apply foresight as a leadership practice, using scenarios not to predict the future but to “vaccinate” your organization against emerging risks. You'll learn why nonlinear environments break traditional planning, and how to cultivate neuro-flexibility and improvisational leadership.Hear how storytelling becomes a strategic tool, helping leaders create meaning, focus attention, and align teams in moments of uncertainty. You'll learn why cross-generational leadership is becoming a competitive advantage, especially as digital natives bring new skills to nonlinear problem-solving.Connect with Bob Johansen and Jamais CascioBook Website Institute for the FutureJamais Cascio LinkedInConnect with Mahan Tavakoli: Mahan Tavakoli Website Mahan Tavakoli on LinkedIn Partnering Leadership Website

WHEN DOES A $1000 MONTHLY CAR PAYMENT MAKE SENSE? FROM BALTIMORE WASHINGTON FINANCIAL ADVISORS Sandy Hornor | CEPS Managing Director, Wealth Management & Executive Manager Tessa Hall Media and Communications Specialist About This Episode Car payments are getting larger, and higher interest rates are forcing many buyers to rethink their decisions. In this episode, members of the BWFA team discuss when a car payment may make sense and how to evaluate financing decisions within a broader financial plan. For more information, visit BWFA's Financial Planning Services page. Read Full Description Car buying decisions have become more complicated as vehicle prices rise and interest rates remain elevated. In this episode of Healthy, Wealthy & Wise, BWFA advisors explore when a car payment makes financial sense and how borrowers should evaluate the true cost of financing a vehicle. The conversation begins with a look at recent data showing that a growing share of buyers are paying $1,000 or more per month for a car. While that number can be alarming, the advisors explain that whether a payment is reasonable depends on several factors, including interest rates, loan terms, cash flow, and overall financial priorities. They discuss the trade-off between borrowing at low interest rates versus paying cash, especially when investments may offer higher long-term returns. However, with auto loan rates now averaging in the mid-to-high six percent range, that math has changed for many buyers. The advisors also highlight common mistakes, such as selling long-term investments to pay off a car or borrowing from retirement accounts to fund a purchase. The discussion touches on newer tax rules that allow certain taxpayers to deduct a portion of auto loan interest. Ultimately, this episode reinforces that car decisions should not be made in isolation. Evaluating financing options as part of a comprehensive financial plan can help buyers make choices that support both their lifestyle and long-term financial security.

We're breaking down our full VIP Tour experience and putting real numbers behind one of Disney's most talked-about (and most expensive) offerings. We go far beyond the “it was amazing” review and dig into the math, comparing VIP Tours directly to Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Lightning Lane Single Pass, Lightning Lane Premier Pass, After Hours events, and seasonal party tickets. You'll hear how much we actually accomplished during our tour, how it compares to a well-planned Lightning Lane day, and when alternatives like After Hours events or party nights might make more sense. We also discuss who VIP Tours are truly designed for, who should absolutely skip them, and where the real break-even point starts to appear. We'll walk through current pricing, hourly costs, per-person breakdowns, and dollar-per-hour comparisons so you can see exactly what you're paying for — and what you're not. We also talk about what VIP Tours include that Disney doesn't always advertise, how group size completely changes the value, and why this experience is less about luxury and more about time, flexibility, and mental freedom. If you've ever wondered whether a VIP Tour is a bucket-list splurge, a smart group strategy, or just Disney pricing gone wild — this episode gives you the honest breakdown you've been looking for.

In today's Daily Shift, I'm reflecting on a milestone that didn't happen overnight — purchasing a space for my wellness center — and the long journey that led here. This episode speaks to the years that often go unseen: moments of being overlooked, experiencing microaggressions, and navigating systems that weren't built with you or your community in mind. Rather than allowing those moments to define the outcome, this shift honors what it means to build slowly, intentionally, and with purpose. This reflection is not about proving anything — it's about acknowledging that what we build is often bigger than us. Sometimes the work is personal, and sometimes it's collective — creating access, safety, and possibility where it didn't exist before. In this episode, we explore: Why meaningful work is rarely built overnight How moments of being minimized can shape long-term vision The difference between external success and internal alignment What it means to build something rooted in care, dignity, and community A gentle reminder from today's shift: Your journey doesn't need to make sense to everyone Being slowed down doesn't mean you're behind What you're building can serve more than just you Take a moment to pause and reflect on what you're carrying forward — and who it's meant to serve.
Sometimes in life, time runs out on the thing we were hoping for, and we're left in a state of disappointment or despair. In this conversation with CERN, LHC particle physicist and UC Irvine professor of physics and astronomy Daniel Whiteson, we ask a deceptively simple question: when the math works, is that really enough to understand physical reality? Modern physics predicts the universe with astonishing accuracy, yet often sets aside the deeper question of what its equations actually describe in the material world. Moving between poetry and precision, we explore where explanation ends, where intuition fails, and why humans keep reaching for meaning beneath the symbols. This is a discussion about physics, but also about sense-making itself ... about whether understanding is optional, or essential, to knowing where we stand in the universe.Part 2: https://youtu.be/md8SIlIZzZ0PATREON https://www.patreon.com/c/demystifysciPARADOX LOST PRE-SALE: https://buy.stripe.com/7sY7sKdoN5d29eUdYddEs0bHOMEBREW MUSIC - Check out our new album!Hard Copies (Vinyl): FREE SHIPPING https://demystifysci-shop.fourthwall.com/products/vinyl-lp-secretary-of-nature-everything-is-so-good-hereStreaming:https://secretaryofnature.bandcamp.com/album/everything-is-so-good-herePARADIGM DRIFThttps://demystifysci.com/paradigm-drift-show00:00 Go! On Thursday's Orange and Brown Talk podcast, Mary Kay Cabot, Ashley Bastock and Dan Labbe react to John Harbaugh taking the head coaching job with the Giants. They discuss why the Giants were a more attractive destination and why the Browns never really got a chance to make their pitch. Then, they reset the Browns' coaching search and take a deep dive into some of the top candidates. They discuss the pros and cons of hiring a defensive-minded coach like Rams DC Chris Shula and how his 3-4 scheme would fit with the Browns' current personnel. They also look at the young, up-and-coming offensive candidates, including Jaguars OC Grant Udinski and Bengals offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher, and wonder if the Browns' uncertain quarterback situation will be a deterrent. Finally, they discuss internal candidates like Tommy Rees and what the future might hold for the staff as the search continues. We are living through an incredibly intense political, social, and cultural moment, and it's easy to fall into the despair and overwhelm of it all. In this episode, I'm sharing a framework that helps me make sense of what's happening and hold onto hope. Spiral dynamics explains how humans organize around shared value systems, and what happens when those systems collide and begin to collapse. While these transitions are often destabilizing and painful, what we're living through is not random–and understanding the pattern offers the reminder that how we choose to show up, care for ourselves, and embody the values we want to see matters. Here's what I cover:The origin of spiral dynamics and how the framework can show up in everyday lifeWhy systems resist evolution with the same fear and violence they were established withHow the framework of spiral dynamics relates to good girl rules and people-pleasing tendenciesWhy nervous system safety and connection matter alongside protest, organizing, and action during times of changeHow rest, pleasure, joy, and community are not distractions, but essential tools for surviving times of massive transitionFind Sara here:https://sarafisk.coachhttps://pages.sarafisk.coach/difficultconversationshttps://www.instagram.com/sarafiskcoach/https://www.facebook.com/SaraFiskCoaching/https://www.tiktok.com/@sarafiskcoachhttps://www.youtube.com/@sarafiskcoaching1333What happens inside the free Stop People Pleasing Facebook Community? Happy New Year and welcome to the first Ask Rob & Rob of 2026! We're kicking off the year with more real-life property dilemmas from our listeners. (0:45) Ed has released £100k from his home to start his property journey in buy-to-lets or flips. He's spotted a two-bedroom flat in Kent above some shops but has learned that previous buyers couldn't get a mortgage due to the commercial units below, making the flat around 50% cheaper than others locally. With a rental yield of about 11%, he asks Rob & Rob whether the potential income outweighs the risk of future valuation or remortgage issues. (6:24) Paul's been letting his property to an excellent tenant for five years with no issues. Since she last signed her lease 18 months ago, market rents have risen by 50%, and with the lease up for renewal soon, he wants advice on increasing the rent to align more with the current market while still being fair and rewarding his tenant. Sooner or later, we all face difficult circumstances that challenge our faith. We want to believe that God is good and loving and powerful. But sometimes that's hard to square with the harsh realities of what we're going through. So how can we trust God in those challenging times when God doesn't make sense? Today, we're starting a new sermon series exploring some faith-shaking moments in the lives of several prominent New Testament figures as we seek answers to that pressing question. If you ever struggle to trust God, you're in good company…and this series is for you. Scripture Reading: Matthew 11:2-10 Share: Know someone who needs this message right now? Send them the link!
