Preston and Steve have been on morning radio in Philly since the 90s and have been #1 in ratings for fifteen years straight, but not many people know that in the 1980s, Steve was a stand-up comic before he got into radio. Starting comedy on Long Island, he came up with Eddie Murphy and Rosie O’Donnell, and in this episode, we talk about some old (really old!) comedy influences, the different types of comedy, when college gigs used to be fun and his transition into radio. He’s had quite the career, and he was more than happy to share it all!Pat House is a nationally-touring comedian based out of Philadelphia. A regular performer in comedy clubs, casinos and theaters all over the country, Pat has been a choice opener for Sebastian Maniscalco, Tom Segura and Dan Cummins. He recorded his first album Biggest Thing in 2013, and his latest album Heard Enough Yesterday, hit #1 on the iTunes comedy charts. Both can be heard on iTunes, Amazon and Pandora. The Preston & Steve Show airs live weekday mornings (6 – 10:30ish) on Philly’s legendary rock station, 93.3 WMMR.Hosts Preston Elliot and Steve Morrison have been waking up early to make mornings a little brighter for the folks of the Delaware Valley since 1998. It was May 16, 2005 when they found their forever home on MMR and along with CaseyBoy, Kathy Romano, Nick McIlwain and Marisa Magnatta they’ve become the #1 way for Philadelphians to start their morning. Come for the features like The Bizarre File and Hollywood Trash and games like Crackshot and Loop There It Is and you’ll stay for the best celebrity interviews around and great conversation about whatever is happening in the world or their own lives. It’s like having friends in the car with you. Preston & Steve’s Camp Out for Hunger, the single largest food drive in the country happens every winter, and the I Bleed for Preston & Steve Blood Drive, which has recently grown to become the America’s largest blood drive, is in the summer with countless events held in between. Listen live on 93.3 FM, wmmr.com, MMR Apps & Skills, or catch up with the Daily Preston & Steve Podcast available everywhere. GADZOOKS!

From renting and roughing up a slingshot to skateboarding over to “Words of the Day”, where they went Facebook live for random words to prove they had a real story for any one of em! Change is good, so they say. It's something that has to happen from time to time, to keep things fresh. To keep people interested and wondering what the heck is going on. Y'know...to keep people talking. Such is the case here. "The Voice of Steve Podcast" is no more. From now on, you'll be listening to "The Stuff and Things Podcast with The Voice of Steve". Think of it as an effort on my part to let you, the ever-important listener, know what the heck just MIGHT be going on with this goofy show! The other changes will be more subtle and take time. Think of what goes on when a company changes it's name. They gotta use up all'a them memo pads and pens and stuff that has the old name on 'em. Me? I just have to change a bunch of segment intros and stuff, some of which I really like and am worried I won't be able to duplicate or improve upon as I make the change. So, hang in there. As you'll notice when you listen...this is pretty much the same show that you've been listening to for the last eight years. By that I mean: Just 'cuz I gots a snazzy new name for the show, that don't mean there's any more redemptive value in it. It's still just 20 minutes to a half hour of me being as goofy and silly as I can possibly be at that moment. Hope that works for you.Just a few reminders:I'm still doing the Go Fund Me and Patreon things. Well, here we are. After four months and getting past a busted 'puter, The Voice of Steve is finally back with a new episode. I went on a bit of a passive aggressive rant last week and while I meant what I said, I guess I could have been less of a jerk about it. Thanks again to Scott Lamond for the email that he sent me, telling me why he felt he had to turn his show off and that I should NOT do the same. I appreciate the time you took to send me the note and between you and my wife, who also said I should keep things going, HERE I AM!!!I hope you enjoy it.Please check out the various and sundry ways to communicate and/or support The Voice of Steve! In this episode of the Brand X Podcast John, Deuce and Joe the celebrate their one year podcast anniversary. Someone had the brilliant idea to break out the Jack Daniel’s to do a celebratory shot. Well, who only does one shot of Jack? Not John. John comes to the realization that he might not be able to defend himself like he did back in the day. There was a loud noise, a 911 call, and finally some shame and embarrassment. But never fear Deuce will hook John up with some home defense items. Tom from the Tom and Steve Podcast got a bug up his ass and insulted David the Producer from the Unwritable rant Podcast and David released the Hounds. Who are the Hounds? John, The Naked Porch Podcast, and Rob and Slim. After a few hours of a shock and awe twitter attack, Tom went from a bug up his ass to a huge penis on his face.
