Send us a textBy age 13, Hailey was self-harming. At 16, she was living in a trap house, using meth and heroin, and hiding across the street from her mother's school. Her addiction escalated to fentanyl, psychosis, and multiple stints in treatment. She once traded a 65-inch TV for a single pill. But when her body started rejecting the drugs, she knew she had to change — or die. Today, Hailey is a stylist, advocate, and founder of Haircuts for Hope. Scope isn't just a contract clause—it's the foundation of every Delta pilot's career security. In this in-depth and highly relevant episode, hosts First Officer Ryan Argenta and Captain Laura Woods welcome Scope Committee leaders Captain Justin Berg, First Officer Jim Burgess, and Captain John Pinkerton to break down why Scope matters in 2025 and beyond. They unpack how the Global Scope agreement—an industry-first—continues to directly translate into more widebody flying, more seniority movement, and more opportunities for Delta pilots. You'll hear why block hours, not specific routes, are the true measure of growth and compliance, and how this smartly structured agreement ensures Delta can expand globally—without outsourcing pilot jobs. But it's not all a smooth ride: the team also discusses current grievances, transparency issues, and why pilot-reported tips are often the key to uncovering violations. From WNBA charter violation concerns to cross-border flying limits, they're watching every angle. If you've ever asked, “Why are our partners flying that route?”—this episode is your answer. Scope protects our flying. Scope grows our fleets. Scope moves the needle on our careers. And yes—Scope is still dope.

Yo Pencil Busters, let's kick it. While Dr. Tim Slekar is out on assignment studying the teaching practices of the uncontacted tribes of the Amazon (or he just couldn't make it to the show today), Dr. Johnny Lupinacci and Producer Jakob are running the show. Do you think that teaching is all about rules and enforcement? Alright, stop. It's about collaborating and listening. Dr. Johnny is back with a Class is in Session, because this concept has grabbed a hold of him tightly. He's thinking about improving our schools daily and nightly. Will it ever stop? The answers no. Let him talk math and he'll glow. Light up his students' eyes like a candle and wax outdated practices like a vandal. Because education is about to change. Love it or leave it, you better gangway. Because when it comes to helping kids, Johnny don't play. Dope rhymes provided by Producer Jakob (care of Vanilla Ice.... care of Queen). Few hard rock bands lived the life portrayed in their songs as authentically as Guns N' Roses. Singer Axl Rose was driven by deep-seated demons that drove the creation of his band's legendary debut album, Appetite For Destruction, as well as his legendary bad behavior. His band was hardly any different. Nearly dysfunctional from drug use and excess, their record label feared they would all die before their first album was even released. President Donald Trump and his top advisers have worked themselves up into a fury about the leaked intelligence assessment casting doubt on the success of Trump's bombing of Iran. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth unleashed a wild, angry rant about it during a presser with Trump, viciously attacking intelligence officials for leaking the assessment. What Hegseth ended up revealing, however, is that we almost certainly cannot count on this administration to officially tell the truth about the Iran mission, because as Hegseth demonstrated, everything must always must serve the cult of Trump above all else. We talked to veteran national security lawyer Bradley Moss, who explains why this assessment is so important, what likely went into it, how the Hegseth-Trump-MAGA propaganda campaign is taking us to a very dangerous place as a country, and what to expect next.
