Mother's Day and the recent passing of controversial social media personality and YouTuber has me thinking a lot about legacy. Being childfree means I have to be intentional and thoughtful about what my legacy is and who I will pass it on to--and I don't just mean tangible items. But what was even more interesting was the spectrum of responses I witnessed after the YouTuber's passing. I'm sure if he were here, he would vehemently defend what he would say his legacy is.But that's the thing, once we leave this Earth our legacy is largely made of the feelings, experiences, and perceptions other people have of us. I want all of us to lead and live a life in order to leave a legacy that we design and are proud of. And that's what we're discussing today... * What is legacy and what I think about it * Why legacy is important * How to create a legacy * Who to leave your legacy to * Ways to document and preserve your legacy SHOW NOTES: https://unbecomingconversations.com/episode5/ * What is Legacy? - 3:21 * Evaluate Your Legacy - 15:53 * The Obituary Exercise - 21:37 * Your 80th Birthday Exercise - 22:40 * Ways to Leave a Legacy - 24:09 * Legacy Ideas - 24:58

This episode is transparent, yet funny (at least to us lol)... * How we met * The story of how Kendra asked for us to be friends * The evolution of our friendship * The rhythm of friendship * How we maintain 20+ year friendship despite NEVER living in same city * Navigating being at different seasons and points in our lives * Her passion project, Financial BFFs (Follow on IG at https://www.instagram.com/fin_bffs/) Be sure to check out the show notes page for more photos of our friendship and to paritipcate in a survey about making friends as and with entrepreneurs.

*~* SHOW NOTES *~* https://godssignaturestatement.com/unoffendedlifepodcast/ I’m doing a 2 part series on living an unoffended life. While listening to a podcast interview, the interviewer said something that I haven’t been able to shake, “what if we focused on loving the people that matter to us and living an unoffended life?” Listen, I get it. We encounter some truly WACK situations and people in daily life that honestly leaves us with the RIGHT to feel offended (and to stay there for a minute). One of the things I’ve learned early on, is that intentionally choosing to live an unoffended life improves the quality of your life. And I want all of us to have the best life possible! Let me know your thoughts!
You will love this conversation with Minister Adrienne Young, author of "Don't Go Thrifting Without Me." She drops so many nuggets about not just thrifting--but living a purposeful life. Be sure to grab her book on Amazon at https://amzn.to/2AUo9l3
