What Seeds Are You Planting? Self Empire or God’s Kingdom? Galatians 6:7 - 10 7Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

What Sin Gets You Thrown Into Hell?

24 In this episode I ask you what sin gets you thrown into Hell.I heard a speaker tell me one time it's the first time you sin that gets you thrown into Hell. I think I must disagree. I do not believe sin is the issue anymore. I read multiple passages from the book of Hebrew where it tells you Christ died once for all sin.Hebrews 9:12Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.Hebrews 9:14How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God.Hebrews 9:24For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.Hebrews 10:5-10Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me. In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You had no pleasure. Then I said, 'Behold, I have come in the volume of the book it is written of Me to do your will, oh God. Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law), then he said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God. He takes away the first that He may establish the second.  By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus once for all.Hebrews 10:14for by one offering, He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.Every sin that has ever been committed on the earth was placed on Jesus at the cross. Jesus took our sin on His body, they nailed His body to the cross and buried Jesus and every sin with Him.This would be a terrible story but the story doesn't end with the death of Jesus. Three days later He rose from the dead and will never die again. This is "the too good to be true news" of the Bible. (Also known as the Gospel)Sin is not the issue. The only question God is going to ask you when you stand before Him in heaven is: What did you do with My Son?If you answer I believed Your word and accepted Him as Savior and declared Him Lord of my life. You shall be saved. If you haven't declared Him Lord of your life I believe you will be asked to stand in a different line in heaven. The Bible does say "All have sinned," but it also declares Jesus died once for all sin. All sin means every sin past, present, and future sins were nailed to the cross and buried with Jesus.Thank you for listening.

Colossians 3:5-10Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all. Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.Thank you for joining us on this episode of Spirit of Adoption Radio! Blue Ridge Moments with Dr. Billie J. Minton

“Unwinding out of an old curve, lights up a new runway.”I remember the day that this thought occurred to me; unwinding out of an old curve, lights up a new runway.I was driving on a curvy road next to the airport runway. It was nighttime and the sight of the runway was beautiful from the road I was driving on.Airplanes were arriving from the evening sky and landing on a runway with bright lights shining.Within each curve that my car hugged and unraveled from, it felt like God was letting me know that new opportunities were already born and just waiting for me to greet.God will always unwind us out of old curves and light up brand new runways for our lives. Are you ready for the next curve that God unwinds out of your life in order to be receptive to the new runway He will light up for you?Galatians 6:10Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. To learn more about Dr. Billie J. 1Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? 2The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against his Anointed One. 3“Let us break their chains,” they say, “and throw off their fetters.” 4The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. 5Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, 6“I have installed my King on Zion, my holy hill.” 7I will proclaim the decree of the Lord: He said to me, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father. 8Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. 9You will rule them with an iron scepter; you will dash them to pieces like pottery.” 10Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. 11Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling. 12Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

Hebrews 4:14-5:10Therefore since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession. For we do not have a high priest incapable of sympathizing with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way just as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace whenever we need help. For every high priest is taken from among the people and appointed to represent them before God, to offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins. He is able to deal compassionately with those who are ignorant and erring, since he also is subject to weakness, and for this reason he is obligated to make sin offerings for himself as well as for the people. And no one assumes this honor on his own initiative, but only when called to it by God, as in fact Aaron was. So also Christ did not glorify himself in becoming high priest, but the one who glorified him was God, who said to him, “You are my Son! Today I have fathered you,” as also in another place God says, “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.” During his earthly life Christ offered both requests and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to the one who was able to save him from death and he was heard because of his devotion. Although he was a son, he learned obedience through the things he suffered. And by being perfected in this way, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him, and he was designated by God as high priest in the order of Melchizedek.

Rev.Tamara Reeder April 27, 2014 Where Is Our Family Headed? Galations 6:1-10 1Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. 2Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves. 4Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, 5for each one should carry their own load. 6Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor. 7Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked.

Do you enjoy what God is doing in your life and the lives of others through this church family called New Hope? How does that happen? What is behind it? We’re going to explore some of the main reasons why God is able to do what He is doing in all of our lives. We’re going to talk about the “fuel” that keeps His fire going in our church family and ask Him to burn that fire brighter and brighter!Fuel: Servants#1. Our God cares about people.Matthew 9: 35-36Jesus was going through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the Good News/ the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd.Exodus 3: 7-9The LORD said, “I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have given heed to their cry because of their taskmasters/slave drivers, for I am aware of their sufferings. So I have come down to deliver them from the power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and spacious land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite. Now, behold, the cry of the sons of Israel has come to Me; furthermore, I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians are oppressing them.John 3: 16For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.#2. God calls us to do that work.Exodus 3: 10Therefore, come now, and I will send you to Pharaoh, so that you may bring My people, the sons of Israel, out of Egypt.”Matthew 9: 37Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.”#3. Being servants should not be strange to us.- it’s the example Jesus set for usPhilippians 2: 5-7Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.- it’s what He told us to doMatthew 20: 25-27But Jesus called them to Himself and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles/nations lord it over them, and their great men exercise authority over them. It is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave/servant.“Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all theplaces you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as you can.”- it’s the reason He gave us gifts & abilitiesRomans 12: 6Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them…I Peter 4: 10As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.- it’s the best life to liveMark 10: 28-31Peter began to say to Him, “Behold, we have left everything and followed You.” Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last, first.”#4. Getting involved in God’s work.- let God change your mindsetChristians need to change from SERVE US to SERVICE- get connected with the Body of Christhow do I start...#1. salvation#2. baptism#3. find a church#4. explore God’s direction#5. find your place and be countedNehemiah 4: 6...the people had a mind to work / worked with all their heart.
