I created this podcast to encourage believers to follow a perfect example with imperfect actions and results using the Bible as your guide. God had one superstar, Jesus, but as a follower of Jesus, I want to use my mistakes, stories, testimonies, and victories to help attack your doubts and fears by applying the Truth (and the Holy Spirit) to your life and situation. When you listen, you will learn perfection is not the goal, and it has never been. You are the hero of your story, and God wants you to dig into His Word to discover your gifts, strengths, and talents to become a doer of the Word.
344 In this episode, I combine two of my favorite scriptures to introduce the Kingdom of God Spreadsheet. You can argue with someone's opinion but you can not argue with his testimony and the Bible, combined with the Kingdom of God Spreadsheet has changed my life.
343 In this episode, I talk about how the world is trying to make life easy, but Jesus said the way to life is difficult and there are few who find it.I teach that taking steps of faith is simple (so simple a child can understand it) but Jesus doesn't say it will be easy. One of the biggest struggles most Christians face is they are in a hurry. Here's the truth, if Jesus does not return in the next 5 years, and you are still alive, you will spend the next 1,825 days doing something. Why not grow in grace and truth?
342 In this episode, I talk about the one thing you and I can do to begin to walk by faith. Here's a big surprise...It's getting into the word of God. Jesus said His disciples "abide" John 8:30-32 in the word.He also said, "I am the Vine, and you are a branch." John 15:1-8This episode also airs on January 10th, 2023, and this is my "spiritual birthday" 30 years ago. On January 10th, 1993 I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and my life has never been the same.
341, In this episode, I shoot from the hip a little and let you hear the scripture God showed me this morning for the episode. The scripture God showed me was in Philippians 3:7-14But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish, that I may gain Christand be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformed to His death,if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. We are going to make mistakes in life but if you and I are going to learn to walk by faith we are going to have to be ok with falling and getting back up.
340 In this episode, I discuss the four areas I will try to grow in 2023. (Hint it might have something to do with the four faces on the living creatures in Ezekiel and Revelation :)With a new year comes new goals and maybe a new direction.
339, In this episode, I give a quick recap of the year 2022 and how I took steps of faith and also some of the falls I took this year.
338 In this episode, I teach about how faith was used in the covenant God made Abraham in Genesis 12:1-3.Now the Lord had said to Abram: Get out of your country, from your family and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you.I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. We also look at how David used the covenant to fight Goliath. Finally, we look at how Jesus fought satan in the wilderness.
337 In this episode, I teach about faith using Christmas as my story.
336 In this episode, I continue to teach on faith but wonder out loud, "Why do many Christians have to same challenges as non-Christians?In this episode, I help you understand why it is possible for believers not to walk in the promises of God and what we should do.
335 In this episode, I teach about the biggest obstacle facing the church today. It's called unbelief.Unbelief is a huge issue you and I need to attack and not ignore anymore. The Bible verse I use to teach is Matthew 13:58 Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.and the same lesson in Mark 6:5,6 Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. And He marveled because of their unbelief. Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching.
334 In this episode, I discuss one of the two things that will stop faith from working in your life. The Bible verse is from Mark 5:35,36 While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue's house who said, "Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?"As soon as Jesus heard the word spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, "Do not be afraid; only believe."Do not be afraid only believe is God's advice to you and me on how to walk in faith. How would your life be different if you believed the word of God (all the time) and never allowed fear to come into your mind?
333 In this episode, I continue to teach about faith and look at the Bible story of the woman with the issue of blood and combine it with the five truths I talked about in episode 332.I introduce a proverb to get the teaching started.Proverbs 29:25 The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.
332 In this episode, I make a turn to begin to teach you how to use faith in your life.I start out with 5 truths about your faith you should know.1. Faith happens in the spiritual realm2. Anyone can use faith3. Faith comes by hearing4. Faith is voice-activated5. Faith requires action
331 In this episode, I continue to teach faith and use the story found in the three Gospels, Matthew, Mark, and Luke, about the woman with the issue of blood. You can see her faith in the story and understand how to take a step of faith for yourself.
330 In this episode, I try to help you get a better picture of faith by looking at what Father Abraham went through waiting for the promise of Isaac.
329 In this episode, it is Thanksgiving Day here in the United States and I have a couple of Bible verses to remind you God wants you and me to be thankful.Psalm 100:4,5Enter His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise.Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.Philippians 4:4-8Rejoice in the Lord always again I say rejoice.Let the gentleness of God be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God;and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whether things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy, meditate on these things.
328 In this episode, I turn to Father Abraham to teach about why he is called the father of faith.I use Galatians 3:5-9Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?Just as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Therefore know that only those who are of faith are the sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, "In you all the nations shall be blessed."So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.alsoRomans 4:17-22(As it is written, I have made you a father of many nations) in the presence of Him whom he believed, God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, "So shall your descendants be."And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb.He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,And being fully convinced that what He had promised He was able also to perform. And therefore it was accounted to him for righteousness. The Bible gives you and me examples to study and imitate if we are going to learn to walk by faith and not by sight.
327 In this episode, I continue teaching about faith by asking two questions. What is the Law of Faith? What Concepts of Your Faith Need to Change?I use Romans 3:27,28 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of Works? No, but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law.and Romans 4:3-5For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness."Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but debt. But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness,God's word is true, so there is a law of faith and I believe the modern church is mixing what the world is teaching with what the Bible says, and doing this is like mixing water and oil.
326 In this episode, I continue to teach about faith by asking what faith looks like.Faith is a complex topic but being about to "see" faith will help you understand how to walk by faith and not by sight. There is a physical and a spiritual realm, two different sides, and most believers think you need to walk in one or the other but in today's podcast episode, I show you Jesus said He was walking in both realms simultaneously.Don't believe me? Let's look at John 3:13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. It's evident in the above Bible verse that Jesus said He was talking to Nicodemus and in heaven simultaneously. We are told to imitate Christ so if we are going to walk by faith you and I need to believe we are here and there and how and what that means on our daily Christian walk.
325 In this episode, I continue to teach about faith and I use a Bible verse from Luke to help us understand why faith should matter to Christians. The Bible verses are in Luke 18:7,8 "And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?I tell you He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?" The specific question from the Son of Man is, "Will He find faith when He returns? This question stopped me in my Bible study and I believe God is looking for the correct answer.
324 In this episode, I finish talking about the three questions you, and I need to answer before we begin to walk by faith and not by sight. The "salvation" question is an important question to answer because even if you get all the other questions in life right if you miss the correct answer (hint the answer is Jesus) to this question, you risk spending eternity in Hell.
324 In this episode, I continue to teach the three questions you need to answer before you can learn to walk by faith and not by sight,The second question is, "Who are you in Christ?" As always I use the Bible to help you understand how to answer the question.John 15:1-5I am the true vine and My Father is the vinedresser.Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in Me.I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.Revelation 1:4-6John, to the seven churches which are in Asia:Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen1 Peter 2:9,10But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.and finally,1 Corinthians 12:12-14,18For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body-whether Jew or Greeks, whether slaves or free-and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. For in fact the body is not one member but many. But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.
322 In this episode, I continue teaching how to walk by faith and not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7There are three questions each Christian should answer before beginning their Christian walk.1. Who is Father God?2. Who are you in Christ?3. How can you bring God glory?I introduce these three questions and in this episode, I answer the first question. Who is Father God?
321 In this episode, I continue teaching about how to walk by faith and not by sight.I use both Old and New Testament Bible verses to make my point and tell you how I got the healing I had been praying for and couldn't get it to manifest until I did one thing.
320 In this episode, I begin a new series of How to walk by faith and not by sight.I start this brief introduction with the question, "What is faith?"I believe the answer is found in Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. This is a huge topic and I will use many episodes to try and explain faith in a way to help you to walk by faith and not by sight.
319 In this episode, I finish my lessons on what changes I would make if I were in charge of the modern church. In previous teachings, I talked about more power, than the topic of unity, but in this final video, I teach about walking in wisdom.2 Timothy 1:7 is our anchor scripture for these lessons and I translate having a sound mind to walking in wisdom.
318 In this episode, I finish the section on unity with the two things the body of Christ must do to walk in unity. There may be more than two things needed, but in my life, less is more, and simple is easier to implement than complicated. The two areas are abiding in the word of God and walking in love. Sounds pretty simple but it will take the Holy Spirit to accomplish true unity in the body.
317 In this episode, I continue to teach one of the three areas I would change in the modern church if I were "in charge."Remember the scripture we are basing the teachings on is 2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. The topic I'm continuing to dig down into is unity. I began to explain in episode 316 the reasons it might look like the church is not in unity.Continue to expand on the name of Jesus and how the Bible states in Psalm 138:2 that God elevated His word above all His name.
316 In this episode, I tell you the three areas keeping us from walking in unity and the one thing I believe you and I need to know to change how we view the word of God.
315 In this episode, I continue to teach how you and I need to walk in more spiritual power.I use the story of David and Goliath to illustrate my point. Still, since I've already taught about the power of your words and how King David defeated Goliath before he threw the smooth stone, I use several Bible verses to make my point. 1 Samuel 17:31-37 and 1 Samuel 17:55-58
314 In this episode, I continue to look at King David and how he became a mighty man of valor and a mighty man of war. This is an "amazing" story because King Saul's servants declare these words over David before he kills Goliath. To help you picture how King David gets his start, read 1 Samuel 16:14-19But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and a distressing spirit from the LORD troubled him.And Saul's servants said to him, "Surely, a distressing spirit from God is troubling you.Let our master now command your servants, who are before you, to seek out a man who is a skillful player on the harp. And it shall be that he will play it with his hand when the distressing spirit from God is upon you, and you shall be well."So Saul said to his servants, "Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me."Then one of the servants answered and said, "Look, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, and a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the LORD is with him."Therefore Saul sent messengers to Jesse, and said, "Send me your son David, which is with the sheep."
313 In this episode, I show you how David started before he was king and then compare him to you using the Bible. If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are more powerful than the greatest king of Isreal.
312 In this episode, I continue to talk about the power of God and how you and I can walk in it.The Bible verse I want to use to compare how people in the Old Testament walked in the power of God compared to how you can walk in power.Matthew 11:11,12 is where you can find Jesus telling His disciples the difference between the Old and New Testaments."Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force."I end the podcast with a Bible verse I use to encourage myself to keep going and it reminds me of who God uses in this world. I hope it will encourage you too.1 Corinthians 1:26-29For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.
311 In this episode, I continue to expand our teaching on the three things I would "change" in the church, starting with walking with more power.I use Genesis 1:1-3In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.John 16:7Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.Acts 1:4,5,8And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, "which," He said, "you have heard from Me;for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.""But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to M in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."John 14:12Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.I use these Bible verses to begin teaching about how power works in the spiritual realm.
310 In this episode, I begin new teaching on the three areas I would change if I were in charge of the Western church. It is going to be based on 2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. This is one of our favorite Bible verses and we are going to use it to help encourage you to begin to operate your life with more love, unity, and a sound mind.I believe most of the Western church could grow more in all three areas.
309 In this episode, I finish up my "trilogy" of lessons on the Rapture. In this episode, I try to explain, with scriptures, why God doesn't want us to know the day and time of the rapture.Instead of predicting Jesus' return we should be doing these things instead.
308 In this episode, I'm going to answer the question you may have, 'Am I going to make the Rapture?'As I have said on multiple episodes, I make a horrible Holy Spirit and have not written one word in the Bible.I do believe Jesus wants you to know what it takes to make heaven. He also tells His followers not everyone who calls Jesus Lord will make it. Today's message is one you and I need to hear and decide what you will do with Jesus.
307 In this episode, I begin to teach about the Rapture of the church and the Second Coming of Jesus to the earth.Do you believe these are two different events? Do you think they happen at the same time?I begin the discussion on an important end-time prophecy.
306 In this episode, I give you a quick word for Labor Day from the Bible.I realize this might be a "stretch," but Jesus gives advice on how to relax if you are weighted down with burdens and heavy labor.Matthew 11:28-30"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
305 In this episode, I conclude my teaching on the crucified life.I use Galatians 2:20, Romans 12:1, and parts of Romans 6 and 8 to make my point.I conclude with Hebrews 11:6God wants you and me to learn to walk in the Spirit. God is not angry but trying to show us how to please Him in His word.Contrast Hebrews 11:6 with Romans 8:8."But without faith, it is impossible to please Him...So then, those who are in the flesh can not please God.If you and I want to please God, we must learn to walk by faith.
304 In this episode, I finish talking about John the Baptist and how Jesus communicated to him exactly what John needed while he was in prison.God will speak to you in the best way for each person. I believe Jesus spoke to John at the highest possible level to John's heart using the word of God.Most people would have wanted the high praise Jesus told everyone after John's disciples left, but Jesus met John's need with the word of God.
303 In this episode, I look at the life of John the Baptist and what Jesus said about him.Jesus said in Matthew 11:11 Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women, there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.John, by God's standard, had risen to the highest level of anyone who had ever walked on the earth. If you continue to read, Jesus said, (I'm paraphrasing) you and I are greater than John the Baptist.Even if I'm the worst (or least) in the kingdom of heaven, I'm greater (or have more power) than John the Baptist.
302 In this episode, I continue to teach on the crucified life and add to it the kingdom of God.Here is a one-two punch for any believer to use when learning to walk in the Spirit.
301 In this episode, I continue to teach on the crucified life, and the role commitment plays in a believer's life.
300 In this episode, I make an apology and a confession, and I share 5 (actually, it's 6) Bible verses that have changed my life. Here are the 5 (6) Bible verses:And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Revelation 12:11Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. John 14:12I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:1Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. John 16:7
299 In this episode, I begin a new lesson called The Crucified Life- How to die to self and live to Christ.I use a couple of familiar scriptures for our podcast. Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
298 In this episode, I do my best to pull all the lessons together and give you a summary of the lessons on Ezekiel's wheel, the four living creatures, and how you and I can use them to walk in the Spirit.I used Ezekiel 1:5-12, 15-21 to make my point and allow you to "see" how the four living creatures, the wheel and the Spirit work together.I used Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.and2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.To close out this lesson.
297 In this episode, I continue to teach you how to walk in the spirit and not in the flesh and I use the face of an ox to make my point.God is love, and when we walk in God's kind of love, we love God and God's people.I use a few scriptures in this episode. Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:12"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" Jesus said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. and the second is like it; You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two hang all the Law and the Prophets." Matthew 22:36-40"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." John 13:34,35"This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends." John 15:12,13"Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30
296 In this episode, I continue to teach you how to walk in the spirit and not the flesh, and this time I turn to the face of an eagle for help.I remind you about the grace of God and the Bible verse I think best exemplifies grace is Romans 8:1
295 In this episode, I continue to teach you how to walk in the spirit and not in the flesh, and we turn our attention to the face of the lion in Ezekiel's wheel.Prayer is one of the best ways to communicate with Father God and it is an important part of learning to walk in the spirit.
294 In this episode, I continue to teach about Ezekiel's wheel and how you and I need to learn how to walk in the spirit and not in the flesh.I talked about a simple 3-step way to begin to walk in the spirit.Step 1. Understand you are a new creation 2 Corinthians 5:17Step 2 Believe you have been redeemed, justified, and you have been made righteousStep 3 Learn to walk by faith and not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7Three simple (maybe not easy) steps.
