Be Careful That You Don't Lie To God Acts 5:1-4 1Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira, also sold a piece of property. 2With his wife's full knowledge he kept back part of the money for himself, but brought the rest and put it at the apostles' feet. 3Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? 4Didn't it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn't the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.”

Your Eyes Can Quickly Steer You Away From Following God's Will Matthew 6:22-24 22“The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, c your whole body will be full of light. 23But if your eyes are unhealthy, d your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! 24“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

Live Voluntarily For The Lord! Acts 4:34-37 34that there were no needy persons among them. Pray For The Lord To Grant Us Boldness Acts 4:27-30 27Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed. 28They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen. 29Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. 30Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

Ask God To Guide You Through Troubles And Not To Remove. You Will Grow As A Result Acts 4:23-24 23On their release, Peter and John went back to their own people and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them. 24When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. “Sovereign Lord,” they said, “you made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them.

Allow God To Use You So Others Will See The Work Of His Hands In And Through You Acts 4:21-22 21After further threats they let them go. They could not decide how to punish them, because all the people were praising God for what had happened. 22For the man who was miraculously healed was over forty years old.

Some Still Will Deny Christ, Even When The Evidence Is Is Real Acts 4:15-17 15So they ordered them to withdraw from the Sanhedrin and then conferred together. 16“What are we going to do with these men?” they asked. “Everyone living in Jerusalem knows they have performed a notable sign, and we cannot deny it. 17But to stop this thing from spreading any further among the people, we must warn them to speak no longer to anyone in this name.”

With Courage They Testified! Does That Describe You? Acts 4:13-14 13When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. 14But since they could see the man who had been healed standing there with them, there was nothing they could say.

There Is No Other Name And There Is No Other Way Than Jesus. He Alone Is The Way: Believe and Receive Acts 4:12 12Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

Never Give Up On God And Sharing His Message Acts 3:24-26 24“In addition, all the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel and those after him, have also announced these days. 25You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant that God made with your ancestors, saying to Abraham, And all the families of the earth will be blessed through your offspring. 26God raised up His Servant and sent Him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your evil ways.”

Listen To Everything That Jesus Has To Say By Reading God's Word Acts 3:21-23 21Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets. 22For Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you. 23Anyone who does not listen to him will be completely cut off from their people.'

God Told Us He Would Send Jesus Christ Acts 3:18-20 18But this is how God fulfilled what he had foretold through all the prophets, saying that his Messiah would suffer. 19Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, 20and that he may send the Messiah, who has been appointed for you—even Jesus.

ALWAYS Give Jesus The Glory And Honor Acts 3:16-17 16By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus' name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see. 17“Now, fellow Israelites, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your leaders.

Who Killed Jesus? We Did! But He Loves Us Still. Acts 3:13-15 13The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. You handed him over to be killed, and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him go. 14You disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you. 15You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.

Look For Teachable Moments To Share The Gospel. God will Create The Opportunity; Take On The Responsibility Acts 3:11-12 11While the man held on to Peter and John, all the people were astonished and came running to them in the place called Solomon's Colonnade. 12When Peter saw this, he said to them: “Fellow Israelites, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?

Walk With The Shepherd, Allow Him To Lead. That Takes Humility John 14:24-26 24Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me. 25“All this I have spoken while still with you. 26But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

How Do You Treat The Miracle God Created In You? PRAISE HIM And Allow Him To Use Your Story To Touch Lives. Acts 3:8-10 8He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God. 9When all the people saw him walking and praising God, 10they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

Share Christ And Give Him The Credit Acts 3:6-7 6Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” 7Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man's feet and ankles became strong.

God Is Telling Us “Look At Me!” Take The Time To Give Him Your Full Attention Acts 3:2-5 2Now a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. 3When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. 4Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” 5So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them.

Pray, Pray, Pray - Constant, Consistent, Concentrated Acts 3:1 1One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon.

As Believers It Is Important To Gather As A Body To Exemplify The Love Of Jesus Acts 2:45-47 45They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Be Involved With Other Followers Of Christ Acts 2:42-44 42They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44All the believers were together and had everything in common.

Live Your Following Of Christ Publicly Never Allowing It To Be Secret Acts 2:40-41 40With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” 41Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

Repent, Turn And FOLLOW Christ; Keys To Living With And For Christ Acts 2:37-39 37When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” 38Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

Claiming Jesus Makes Him Your Savior, Lord, Messiah And King Acts 2:32-36 32God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it. 33Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. 34For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said, “ ‘The Lord said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand 35until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.” ' f 36“Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.”

May Our Tongues Rejoice And Our Bodies Live In Hope, Because Of Our Faith Acts 2:29-31 29“Fellow Israelites, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day. 30But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne. 31Seeing what was to come, he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that he was not abandoned to the realm of the dead, nor did his body see decay.

Without The Resurrection We Would Have No Reason To Believe Acts 2:24 24But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.

God Is In Control, There Are No Surprises To Him. Trust That Truth Acts 2:22-23 22“Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. 23This man was handed over to you by God's deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, d put him to death by nailing him to the cross.

Stand TALL For Jesus: Think, Act, Live, Love Like Jesus Acts 2:14-15 14Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. 15These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It's only nine in the morning!

Act Like Jesus By Loving Like Jesus Acts 2:12-13 12Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?” 13Some, however, made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.”

God Is Speaking To You. Are You Listening? Acts 2:5-8 5Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. 6When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. 7Utterly amazed, they asked: “Aren't all these who are speaking Galileans? 8Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language?

The Holy Spirit Is Available To All Who Believe At The Moment They Do Believe Joel 2:28-29 28“And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. 29Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.

Are You Baptized With The Fire Of The Holy Spirit? A Fire That Has The Desire To Share The Life Change Of Christ In Your Life? Acts 2:1-4 1When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues a as the Spirit enabled them.

God Is Worthy To Be Praised! DO IT! Romans 5:10-11 10For if, while we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

Don't Just Get Close To The Lord, Get Committed To Following Him Acts 1:15-15 15In those days Peter stood up among the believers (a group numbering about a hundred and twenty) 16and said, “Brothers and sisters, d the Scripture had to be fulfilled in which the Holy Spirit spoke long ago through David concerning Judas, who served as guide for those who arrested Jesus. 17He was one of our number and shared in our ministry.”

Don't Stare At The Sky. Instead Share The Love Of Christ Acts 1:9-11 9After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. 10They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11“Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”

Don't Worry About The Future, Focus On What The Holy Spirit Can Do Through You In The Present Acts 1:1-7 1In my former book, Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach 2until the day he was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen. 3After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. 4On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. 5For John baptized with a water, but in a few days you will be baptized with b the Holy Spirit.” 6Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.

Be Bold About Telling Who You Live For As Long As It's Jesus Acts 1:8 8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Remain In Him, Know His Words So His Will Be Yours John 15:7-8 7If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

Everything That Has Breath Praise The Lord, That Includes You And I Psalm 150:6 6Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.

Let's Praise The Lord By Singing Your Part Of The Harmony Of Creation Psalm 148:1-6 1Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise him in the heights above. 2Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his heavenly hosts. 3Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars. 4Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies. 5Let them praise the name of the Lord, for at his command they were created, 6and he established them for ever and ever— he issued a decree that will never pass away.

Love ALWAYS And Love NEVER. Those Are Some Huge Words, Know What They Mean! 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8Love never fails.
