These 2022 NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics, which tip off Thursday night in San Francisco, offer no shortage of basketball intrigue. Two dynastic franchises going head to head: the Celtics are tied with the Los Angeles Lakers for the most NBA championships in history (17), and the Warriors have claimed three of the past seven NBA crowns. East Coast vs. West Coast. This is also a matchup of the two best defensive teams during the regular season.
My 1st in-person NBA game was a classic at The Barclays Arena in a showdown between my favorite team The Warriors and my friend Charles's favorite team The Nets. We recap our experience watching these future Hall of Famers go at it live! and we take Charles through some Hoops R us rapid-fire questions.

And they failed. Miserably. Kevin Durant dotted a dagger in LeBron's eye and that was that. The Warriors are up 3-0, so we decided to discuss whether or not Curry/Durant is actually the best duo of all time or not while wondering if Julius Irving and Rip Hamilton are crazy for thinking their title teams were even playing the same sport as the Warriors.

The game the Celtics and many of their fans had circled on their calender finally aome and gone. The Celtics hosted Kevin Durant and the new look Golden State Warriors in the 1st of 2 matchups that we will see this season. Kevin Durant in the summer opted to choose to leave Oklahoma City and rather then join forces with Al Horford, Isaiah Thomas and the Celtics he opted to take the easy road and run to a Golden State Warriors team that has made the finals 2 years in a row and won 73 games last season. The Celtics were forced to play this game against Durant and company without Al Horford and Jae Crowder and it was obvious that the Celtic's without a full roster are no match for the new look Warriors. The Celtics went down by nearly 30 points and would end up losing 104-88 as Brad Stevens yanked the starters in the 4th opting to throw the white flag to look towards the game against the Pistons the next night which did not sit well with Isaiah Thomas. Brad proved he made the right move. The next night the Celtics got both Al Horford and Jae Crowder to return from their injuries and managed to defeat the Piston 94-92 in a game that came down to the final few seconds. Al Horford got the game winning layup with less then 2 seconds left in the game. Then blocked Aron Baynes jumper to at the buzzard to end the game. From there 2 nights later the Celtics faced off with a young Timberwolves team and it appeared as though the Celtics were gonna end up losing to another team they should be beating and it appeared to be an exact replay of the Pelicans loss where Celtics went 3 pointer crazy while the opponent won at the line. But Marcus Smart took a stand in the timeout and sparked a comeback that resulted in a 19-0 run to win 99-93. The Celtics finished the road trip with a 111-92 win over the Nets in Brooklyn. 6 Celtics scored in double figures lead by Thomas who had 23 points. The Celtics now sit tied for 3rd in east we discuss it all. Chris Langseth joins us

Amazingly, some people (*Cough, Mike Adams, Cough*) aren't convinced Steph Curry is the best player in the NBA, and in this edition of the Blooperman Podcast our resident data analyst and NBA junkie lays out his case against the unanimous league MVP as Ron Wagner, our resident skeptic and reluctant NBA consumer, stares on in horror. We also talk Spurs upset, D-Wade's rejuvenation and Kevin Durant's future in OKC before moving on to Moogfest, the electronic music, art and technology festival. Oh, and also HB2. Sigh. Moogfest has struggled to find a home after stops in New York City and Asheville. Is Durham the answer? Is anybody but us looking forward to Grimes, Explosions In The Sky, Miike Snow and three days of nonstop synthesizers? And, finally, would the ACC actually pull its championships from North Carolina because of the Tar Heel state's obsession with the LGTB community? Listen above to find out.
