Did a former president just confirm aliens exist… or shut the door on the entire idea? A viral moment from Barack Obama's appearance on the Brian Tyler Cohen podcast sparks a hilarious, heated, and surprisingly deep debate about extraterrestrial life, government secrets, and whether humanity is alone in the universe. The guys break down Obama's lightning-round comments, his follow-up clarification, and why the lack of a hard follow-up question drove them crazy. From physics and light-years to conspiracy theories, whistleblowers, and wormholes, the argument quickly spirals into one of the wildest non-sports discussions you'll hear. Plus, the conversation detours into presidential interviews, sports fandom connections, and a bizarre quest to book a former president on the show. Along the way, Nets fandom mysteries, Chicago sports ties, and listener calls only add more chaos. If you enjoy off-the-rails debates, big “what if” questions, and classic sports-talk radio tangents, this segment delivers.v
Brian Windhorst hears East teams calling the Knicks the conference's best. Gio lists his five favorite NBA players by position. C-Lo's final update notes John Harbaugh's wife is a Nets fan, followed by Jerry Recco on the Rutgers win. Doug Gottlieb goes off at a press conference, St. John's and Providence brawl, and Gerrit Cole hits the bullpen mound. After the Moment of the Day on Joe Benigno's ice dancing obsession, the show closes with snow-covered cars, sleep cycles, and valuable sports cards.
On a slow day in sports, the guys keep things interesting talking about Kevin Durant's burner account, NBA All-Star weekend and more!

(00:00-29:02) – Query & Company opens on a Thursday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison discussing the Brooklyn Nets out-tanking the Indiana Pacers last night in the final game before the All-Star break. They point out that Rick Carlisle was trying his best to tank, but the players on the court had it going last night for Indiana. Jake also shares the news that IndyCar has reached deals with Honda and Chevy to continue manufacturing engines for the series. (29:02-36:49) – Last night the Butler Bulldogs hung in there versus the UConn Huskies but fell short at the end. Jake highlights Braylon Mullins deciding to go to UConn over Indiana and explains why Butler is struggling to compete in the Big East based off what Dan Hurley said last night. (36:49-46:51) – The first hour of the show concludes with Jake sharing some more thoughts on what Dan Hurley said last night about Thad Matta and the Butler Athletic Department. (46:51-1:15:30) – Mac Engel from the Fort Worth Star & Telegram joins the show and his conversation with Jake Query starts with him sharing a story on flying in Bon Jovi’s plane. Jake asks Mac about what he has seen from Josh Hoover at TCU the last three years, reveals how much money he believes that Hoover got to go to IU, doesn’t believe that Mark Cuban is actually going to buy the Dallas Mavericks back, gives his perspective on whether the Dallas Mavericks are going to try and tank to get a top-four pick. (1:15:30-1:20:27) – Dan Hurley had some comments on TNT following UConn’s win about Butler, but he took it to another level after the game in his postgame media session. Jake plays what one of the best college coaches had to say. (1:20:27-1:29:56) – At the end of the previous segment, Jake reacts further to what Dan Hurley had to say after the game about Thad Matta. He wonders how Butler can compete in the Big East without having the help of a division-one football program bringing in more students or money for the athletic department. (1:29:56-1:55:40) – Mike Niziolek from the Bloomington Herald Times joins Jake Query to discuss the nine Hoosiers that are heading to the NFL Combine in a couple of weeks, evaluates if Fernando Mendoza is worthy of being the first overall selection in the draft, identifies D’Angelo Ponds as one player that has grown the most underneath Curt Cignetti’s tutelage, and previews the upcoming challenge for the Indiana Hoosiers against the Illinois Fighting Illini this weekend. (1:55:40-2:06:35) – Earlier in the day, there was IndyCar news that was shared about the future of two engine manufacturers. Jake highlights what that news was, and Eddie plays what Bill Self said this afternoon about Darryn Peterson’s injury luck. (2:06:35-2:13:05) – Today’s show closes out with Jake sharing his thoughts on what Bill Self said about his star freshman and JMV joins him in studio to preview his show!Support the show: https://1075thefan.com/query-and-company/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It's not often the 27-24 Magic win two consecutive games and yet the viewpoint of the team is as abysmal as if they'd lost those. We beat a depleted Nets squad, and a Jazz team heavily tanking in the fourth quarter. The same Orlando problems exist and all we did at the trade deadline was attach two 2nd round picks to Tyus Jones and jettison him to Charlotte so we could get under the luxury tax. This franchise has major flaws. All of that and more! #LetsGoMagic Warning: Adult Language

It's the nets lol but yall still won congratulations
The tank math just got complicated…The Brooklyn Nets split their last two games — a loss to the Orlando Magic and a win over the Washington Wizards — but that victory might've actually hurt more than helped.Because every win right now…
Will Riley scored a career-high 27 points in the Wizards' 127-113 loss to the Brooklyn Nets. Washington tanked again, and Greg broke it all down. Enjoy!

From Radio Row, Jets DT Harrison Phillips delivers three brutally honest clips that cut right to the franchise's biggest issue: culture. He explains why a connected locker room beats raw talent, then drops a headline-grabber by calling the “Same Old Jets” mindset a “cancerous” problem that infects the building when losing starts to snowball. The guys also react to Brian Costello's follow-up clarification and why it actually makes Phillips' point even stronger. Then the show pivots to a wild sports-media moment where Evan finds out on-air that the Nets waived Cam Thomas, and spirals at the thought of him landing with the Knicks. Plus, NFL Honors quick hits (including Jaxson Dart's ROY vote), and a full breakdown of the “5 things you cannot do” at a Super Bowl watch party, including the chaos of split-TV streaming delays and the most controversial take of the hour: should funeral homes be closed on Super Bowl Sunday? Close it out with a reality check on tonight's St. John's vs UConn game at MSG and why February hype doesn't matter nearly as much as March.
Evan kicks off Cinco de Luncho with a personal drive-time ambush: he turns on Craig Carton and Chris McMonigle and finds out the Nets waived Cam Thomas, instantly launching a full roast of Brooklyn as a “relegation” level embarrassment. Evan, meanwhile, takes it personally. Cam was “his guy,” and the only outcome he truly can't live with is Cam Thomas ending up on the Knicks. From there the show hits quick NFL Honors reactions, including Jaxson Dart getting just one vote for Offensive Rookie of the Year and a rapid run through the Hall of Fame class, plus a mini-debate on whether local bias affects how people view Dart. Then Shaun unveils the ultimate Super Bowl watch party rulebook: one parlay mention only, no walking in front of the TV during action, stop asking about squares, absolutely no double-dipping, and most importantly, shut up during the game. The segment wraps with the ultimate party debate: two-room setups sound great until the streaming delay turns the casual room into accidental spoilers.

In the 3rd hour, Cecil and Richie reacted to the breaking news of the Nuggets trading Hunter Tyson and a second-round pick to the Nets to open a roster spot for Denver. The fellas gave their thoughts on ESPN.com's 2025 NFL re-draft that has the Broncos keeping Jahdae Barron while the top three RBs are still on the board. On Bo's Board, Cecil names Colts WR Alec Pierce as an option for the Broncos, but does it make sense with him getting a big pay day?
Evan tries to calm the Carton vs Morash noise by admitting he respects both, then throws gasoline on it anyway by posting the ultimate Twitter poll: who do you trust more, Craig Carton or Shaun Morash? The guys break down the voting blocs, Mets fans still angry about the Kyle Tucker saga, Jets fans furious at Morash, and the “swing states” that decide the whole thing. Early returns come in and Shaun is actually winning, which turns into a hilarious reality check on what it even means to be in a trust poll with a Radio Hall of Famer. The calls keep it moving, the Jets credibility debate keeps boiling, and then the show pivots to the night in New York sports: the Knicks crush the Wizards and keep their win streak alive, the Nets get run off the floor by the Lakers, and the Islanders finally grab a win in a wild one. Plus, a quick laugh at Big Mac refusing to run the poll, some family fandom warfare, and then the focus shifts to what's next for the Knicks with the NBA trade deadline looming and Ian Begley joining to break it all down.

Lot's going this Monday morning starting with the news of Giants co-owner Steve Tisch's name showing up in the Epstein files. In local sports news, the Knicks have a big win at the Garden against Lebron and the Lakers, while the Nets get utterly destroyed by the Pistons. Lots going on in the NFL as the head coaching jobs get filled even as the Vikings GM is fired. The Giants and Jets are still looking for offensive coordinators. We even recap the FAN night at the Islanders, which seems to have caused a bit of controversy in house.
Giants co-owner Steve Tisch's name appears in the newly released Epstein files, though Tisch maintains his association was brief and strictly professional. C-Lo's in for Jerry with the Knicks extending their winning streak to six games while the Nets suffered a blowout at the hands of the Pistons. The Stadium Series turned into a spectacle with a rare goalie fight between Jeremy Swayman and Andrei Vasilevskiy.
C-Lo's here with the Knicks picking up their 6th straight win, the Nets getting embarrassed by the Pistons, and even a goalie fight which is always fun.
