Jesus didn't come just to set an example, He came to fulfill a mission, and He started by picking out His crew. When He did, He called them to drop everything and follow Him. This is the same call He has for us today, which is radically different from our culture's strive for comfort and possessions. In this message, Lead Pastor Aaron Brockett preaches on how Jesus' call to give everything up to follow Him is what will actually set us free. The Garden Report | Boston Celtics Post Game Show from TD Garden
Clutch play from the Celtics down the stretch forced two overtime periods against the Nets in Brooklyn. The C's were up by 10 with 3:06 to go in the 4th-quarter, but a late rally from Brooklyn forced overtime. Boston looked dead and buried in OT, but some crafty plays, including a game-tying three from Hugo Gonzalez, forced double-OT. From there, the C's did just enough to leave Brooklyn with a win. The Celtics won an absolute thriller in double overtime, 130-126 over the Nets. They blew a huge lead in the final minutes of regulation, then pulled out a miraculous comeback in overtime. Jaylen Brown had a triple-double, Hugo hit the biggest shot of his career, Payton Pritchard got back in a groove, and Boston got one of their gutsiest wins of the season. The conversation takes a dark turn for Jets fans: even if they drafted Josh Allen, would it have mattered, or would the Jets have broken him too? The guys dig into how much quarterback development is about the organization, coaching, and timing, using Darnold's journey as the prime example. Then the calls roll in. One caller argues the bigger joke might actually be on the Vikings for moving on from Darnold and tying their future to J.J. McCarthy. Another says Jets fans should stop living in regret because Darnold never becomes this player if he stays in New York. Plus: the “Ghostbuster” debate if Darnold faces the Patriots, a poll comparing Jets pain to Giants fans watching Saquon win with the Eagles, and a quick Nets tangent that somehow turns into a real conversation about player development.
PACKED episode (and yes ATH is mad about the state of the NY Knicks); start it off with a congrats to the IU Hoosiers on winning the National College Football Championship and what an amazing story this is (1:34). Then we talk NFL playoffs including Josh Allen discourse, AFC is boring, was Caleb Williams the winner of the weekend (despite losing to the Rams) and Ryan Clark is the WORST (11:28). The NY Knicks are in a bad place (a win against the Nets doesn't negate the rant) (23:57) and lastly, LeBron James isn't voted in to start the All Star Game (thank heavens) (35:57). Then a recurring guest joins the show to talk more NFL Playoffs and NY Giants optimism (?) after hiring John Harbaugh (38:08) and lastly a recurring guest to pick NBA All Star reserves, does the ASG matter and other NBA topics (1:44:38). Munaf Manji and Dave Essler talk betting for this weekend. Munaf Manji opened the Friday, January 23rd episode of Cash That Ticket on RJ Bell's Dream Preview by setting the stage for a packed betting discussion heading into the weekend, with Championship Sunday, NFL coaching news, NBA analysis, promotions, and best bets all on the agenda. Dave Essler joined him still frustrated from the previous night's loss tied to Franz Wagner being ruled out late, which caused a sharp line move and turned what looked like a favorable position into a loss from the opening tip. Munaf revisited that game, noting how Charlotte's strong record on the second leg of back to backs was mentioned but ultimately ignored, a decision both agreed was a learning moment. Dave emphasized that no bettor hits one hundred percent and that losses must be studied rather than dismissed. The conversation shifted to NFL news with Munaf breaking down the Baltimore Ravens hiring Jesse Minter as head coach on a five year deal, highlighting his defensive success with the Chargers and his prior time in Baltimore. Dave admitted surprise that the Ravens went defense first, stressing that the offense, particularly Lamar Jackson's durability and passing limitations, remains the bigger question and will hinge on the offensive coordinator hire. Early Ravens win total speculation followed, with ten and a half discussed before schedule context softened some concerns. Attention then turned to Patriots versus Broncos props, where Munaf floated Jared Stidham over 32.5 pass attempts, reasoning New England would force him to throw. Dave countered with Drake May unders if backing the Patriots and strongly endorsed Pat Bryant over 2.5 receptions despite heavy juice, citing Denver's likely pass heavy script and Bryant's role before his prior concussion. Injury notes on Troy Franklin reinforced value on secondary Denver receivers, with both hosts recalling how Bryant's early catches last week were erased by injury. For the NFC matchup, Munaf backed Sam Darnold to throw an interception based on repeated struggles against the Rams and defensive familiarity. Dave added Matthew Stafford under 36.5 yards for longest completion, pointing to Seattle's recent success eliminating explosive plays, while also discussing long shot props like Davante Adams to lead receiving yards. Munaf countered with Stafford passing yard trends in Seattle and suggested live betting opportunities if the Rams trailed, along with Cooper Kupp over 30.5 yards. The show moved into NBA, starting with Rockets versus Pistons, where Munaf highlighted Houston's poor performance on road back to backs, recent defensive collapses, and Detroit's elite defensive rating of 100.1 over the last ten games. Cade Cunningham's status was key, with value tied directly to his availability. Dave warned about rapid line movement tied to injury news and leaned toward Pistons team total overs or split half strategies. Raptors versus Blazers followed, with both noting improved defenses, Portland's back to back trends, and a shared preference for the under. Best bets closed the episode with Dave backing Rutgers as a home underdog against Indiana, citing matchup and motivation, while Munaf laid points with the Phoenix Suns based on their league best ATS record and defensive form, and added Celtics team total over 112.5 against a struggling Nets defense. The episode ended with updated news of Cade Cunningham participating in shootaround, reinforcing earlier Pistons angles, and reminders about discipline, injury monitoring, and adaptability heading into the weekend slate. Evan isn't screaming, he's just being honest: he did not celebrate the Freddy Peralta trade. Yes, the Mets are better right now and the rotation finally looks legit, but Evan's main fear is simple: this feels like a one-year rental, and they paid two top-100 prospects (Jett Williams and Brandon Sproat) to do it. That sparks the real debate for Mets fans: what result makes a rental worth it, World Series or bust? Plus, Mets fans flood the phones to defend the move, rip the move, and argue whether Stearns and Cohen are building a sustainable plan or living year to year. And Evan delivers a classic story from MSG, including the rough night as a Nets dad and the even tougher conversation explaining to his son why “Jet” is suddenly no longer a Mets prospect.
The guys boil the Freddy Peralta trade down to one core issue: the Mets improved immediately, but it still feels like a short-term roster with short-term bets. If Peralta is a one-year rental and anything goes sideways, the whole thing can feel like a “temporary Picasso” that gets ruined the second it gets wet. Then the phones light up. One caller thinks the Mets changed philosophy because of media pressure, but Evan pushes back hard and says the front office has actually been consistent all along. That leads into the bigger theme: the Mets' approach to short-term deals, what Bo Bichette's press conference really told you about the plan, and why fans keep asking what “good enough” is when you cash in top prospects. Plus: a debate over the “roadblock” narrative with Jett Williams, what happens if Luis Robert Jr struggles early, and how quickly the Mets would pivot if performance is not there. And it ends with a hard pivot to hoops: the Knicks annihilate the Nets, the “players-only meeting” story gets dissected through Josh Hart's comments, and the real question becomes what the Knicks do next, not what they did to Brooklyn.
Evan makes one thing clear right away: he does not hate the move, but he is not celebrating either. The Mets are undeniably better after adding Freddy Peralta, and the rotation finally looks respectable. The problem is the price. Two top-100 prospects for a pitcher Evan believes is a one-year rental based on the track record of David Stearns. That sparks a deeper conversation about what the Mets are actually building under Stearns and Steve Cohen. Is this a smart year-to-year strategy, or a risky way to live as a fan? Evan lays out why a rental only works if it leads to a World Series run, compares the move to past Mets rentals, and asks fans the real question: what result makes this trade worth it? Plus, a hilarious and painfully real dad moment from Madison Square Garden, where Evan has to explain to his kids both Nets misery and why Jet Williams is suddenly no longer a Mets prospect.
Hour 3 opens with Evan owning his “Nets shocked the world” slip, plus a full recap of the quickest 6–4 hope in sports history as he takes his five-year-old to MSG and watches the Knicks turn it into a crime scene. Then the guys debate whether Tommy is officially a group chat squatter and if the crew should quietly boot him at the perfect time. From there, it's real Giants business: the organization starts clearing out long-time staffers as John Harbaugh puts his stamp on the building, with Tiki explaining how those behind-the-scenes changes actually work and why some “family” staples may not survive this new era. Then the moment of the hour: Andrew Caplan's audio package that proves John Harbaugh and Joe Biden are voice doppelgangers. Once you hear it back-to-back, you cannot unhear it. Plus: Mets fans call in with the perfect word for this offseason, confusion, as the “hope mode” roster debate rages on. And the hour closes with pure Cinco de Lunch chaos as the crew fires off their top five New York starting pitchers lists and immediately starts a civil war over where Peralta, McClain, Rodon, Cole, and the new Yankees arms belong.

Welcome to ALIVE, our weekend Gospel preparation series. In this reflection, Father Jonathan Meyer walks with us through Matthew 4:12–23, the Call of the Apostles, reminding us that God is not distant — He is actively calling each of us right now. God calls us to prayer, to love, to repentance, to service, and sometimes to bold commitment. Too often we hesitate, overthink, or wait for the “perfect time.” But Jesus' invitation is simple: “Come after me.” And the response is just as simple — trust and follow. Whether God is calling you to deeper faith, ministry, marriage, religious life, or to finally take that step you've been putting off, this reflection invites you to drop your nets and follow.

The Mets finally trade for Luis Robert Jr. and the Yankees finally sign Cody Bellinger. It's a good day in New York sports.... right? Wrong... These two teams have done the bare minimum to keep afloat this offseason. Neither team is better. There's a rumor going around that the OC job with Eagles is extremely unwanted. Where the rumor came from? It comes from the fact that no one is interviewing for it! Plus, Carlos Beltran gets his ticket to the hall of fame. $20 million dollars is that direct deposit or in a big check? Do you think Bo Bichette is walking around with his big ass signing bonus? Plus, another edition of What the F*** Wednesday! The biggest game of the Nets season may be the biggest game of the Knicks season as well. Lock it up; Knicks are going to beat the Nets tonight. It's not panic mode for the Knicks just yet and of course Yankees hot stove.

Hour 2 opens with a bold prediction: if the Knicks lose to the Nets at MSG, Mike Brown might be gone immediately. The guys debate how quick the trigger could be, what a replacement could look like, and whether the Knicks are at the point where you do something drastic or just pray it magically fixes itself. Then the show pivots back to Giants Day with an early Cinco de Luncho: Shaun ranks the five most exciting Giants moments since Super Bowl XLVI, with Jaxson Dart's arrival, draft night hope, and today's John Harbaugh introduction sitting at the top of the list. The building buzz is real at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center as the press conference gets closer. The calls bring heat on both sides: Knicks fans go in on Karl-Anthony Towns and the locker room chemistry, plus a fascinating Carmelo Anthony clip about KAT's “rabbit ears” and how outside noise can wreck a player mid game. The guys also talk about where the Knicks spiral actually began, what's changed in their style and urgency, and why the vibe feels broken. Finally, the Harbaugh optimism gets its first speed bump when a caller brings up late game coaching decisions and blown leads in Baltimore. The guys discuss coaching shelf life, evolution, and why a fresh start can actually sharpen a coach who's already proven he can win big.

The guys break down a wild stat that makes the John Harbaugh moment feel even bigger: the Giants almost never bring in a head coach who already has a Super Bowl on his resume, and across New York sports it's surprisingly rare to land a proven champion and have it translate into titles here. That leads to the Weeb Ewbank deep dive as the lone example of a coach who won elsewhere and then won again with a New York team, plus a rapid fire debate over which sports even “count” in the conversation. Then the callers take over, mixing Harbaugh euphoria with classic New York superstition, including one fan reaching for “Giants were first to do this” trivia and the show pushing back with a simpler point: Harbaugh means consistent competence, yearly playoff contention, and eventually a real shot at a title. The segment also hits on 2026 expectations with Jaxson Dart entering Year 2, and why this feels different than other “can't miss” New York celebrations like Aaron Rodgers to the Jets or the Nets superteam. The message is basically this: even if it doesn't immediately end in a parade, Harbaugh can still be the turning point that drags the Giants out of the mud for the long haul.
Jerry has Danny Kannel's comments about Jaxson Dart working with John Harbaugh, Chris Russo's difficult pronouncing a Seahawks players name, local team losses, plus a Moment of the Day remembering John Minko's infamous technical difficulties during a Nets broadcast.
The ball's starting to roll for the Giants as Todd Monken looks ready to join Harbaugh. Who else might join? Jerry's got Jameis Winston on what kind of coach the Giants need, Sean McVey on facing the Bears in a freezing Chicago, plus a legendary achievement Nets broadcaster Tim Capstraw. All that plus TONS of your calls from happy Giants fans and less than happy Jets fans.
