This week on Uncontained I am joined by vocalist, guitarist, audio engineer, and personal trainer Ari Mihalopoulos! Ari was one of my first interviews ever, back in 2004 when I was working at my old college radio station KBVU the Edge. He was promoting his band Destrophy's new album Crystalis. A lot has happened since then, Destrophy got signed to Victory records, he and his band mates became the backing band for the national touring metal band Otep for 9 years, and is still recording bands at his studio Inner Light Records. We talk about what the music industry is really like, some of the musicians he toured with including the late Peter Steele from Type O Negative, and get some great advice for musicians along with some physical fitness advice as well.
