Today's episode of The Rizzuto Show comedy podcast is a chaotic mix of metal fandom, nostalgia overload, celebrity nonsense, and a trivia challenge that will absolutely destroy someone's confidence in 60 seconds.First up, the crew discovers a story that sounds fake but absolutely isn't — a superfan in Thailand legally naming their daughter Metallica. Yes, really. And yes, it's officially on her passport. The show debates whether naming your kid after your favorite band is cool parenting… or setting them up for a lifetime of awkward introductions. From there, the conversation spirals into a surprisingly deep dive into why Gen X had the greatest music experience ever. We're talking MTV when it actually played music videos, standing in line for concert tickets, guitar heroes everywhere, and moments like Live Aid and Michael Jackson's moonwalk that everyone saw at the exact same time. The gang debates whether modern music culture — driven by algorithms and TikTok fame — has completely changed how fans discover artists.Speaking of weird internet fame, the show also talks about a comedian who apparently blew up because of… chickens. Yes, chickens. Welcome to the internet era where a guy feeding chickens on TikTok can sell out comedy venues. In Crap on Celebrities, the crew dives into a bunch of entertainment news including:The explosion of upcoming music biopics (Bon Jovi, The Beatles, Ozzy, and more)Netflix shows people are currently binge-watchingQuentin Tarantino firing back at criticismA documentary about Whoopi GoldbergAnd the crew celebrating 311 Day by debating their favorite 311 songs.Plus, the show announces an upcoming March Movie Mayhem bracket where the best movies of the 90s will battle it out. Then the chaos really begins…The Riz Quiz returns. The rules are brutal: 60 seconds, rapid-fire trivia questions, no skipping allowed, and one wrong answer ends the round immediately. Contestants battle for bragging rights and tickets while trying not to completely panic under the clock. If you like your morning radio loud, sarcastic, unpredictable, and occasionally educational in the weirdest ways possible, this comedy podcast episode delivers the full Rizz Show experience. It's music nostalgia, celebrity nonsense, and trivia pressure all wrapped into one daily comedy podcast episode from the crew in St. Louis.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

The Nostalgia Test Podcast

Dan & Manny put the 1993 Pauly Shore classic Son in Law to the ultimate test—THE NOSTALGIA TEST!   “This whole movie, all of Son in Law, all of [Pauly Shore's] f***ing dialogue is just gibberish. It's just gibberish the whole time, and I'm just like, how can this be a film?” -Dan Dissinger   Dan & Manny are without their longtime friend and cohost Billy to try and solve the pop-culture mystery that is Pauly Shore's 90s fame. How did it happen? Why did it happen? Are we to blame for all his movies? These are the types of questions the guys try to figure out while literally avoiding talking about Son in Law. In fact, there are so many tangents in this episode that it should be called “181. Trips to Ithaca, Gravity Bongs, & Other Fragmented Memories.” Dan & Manny talk about the absolute gibberish of Pauly Shore's dialogue, the unanswered for crimes in this movie, Tiffani Thiessen, and the mom in Son in Law just on the prowl for the “D.” So, grab some “grindage,” your best “buuuuuudddiiies,” and get ready for some “cheek chillers,” because this episode might not even be a podcast, it's an event. The Nostalgia Test Podcast

Dan & Manny put the 2003 Spike TV classic MXC (Most Extreme Elimination Challenge) to the ultimate test—THE NOSTALGIA TEST!   “Everyone dies or has diarrhea after this show [...] They're throwing up [...] things are coming outta their nose, their eyes [...] I hope there's a medic. They should have had [...] a part of a show where they showed [contestants] being wrapped up.” -Manny   This episode is just as unhinged as the show itself, which says a lot about how out of bounds MXC (Most Extreme Elimination Challenge) was in 2003. Dan & Manny watch one episode from three different seasons for this test, and unfortunately, they are without Billy on this one, but he does make a special texting appearance later, so all those Billy fans will get their fix. Dan & Manny try to figure out once and for all if this show was just a bunch of captive human beings trying to make their way home, is this show racist, why was there such a dubbing craze in the early 2000s, Spike TV being okay with low budget nonsense, and so much more. The main question about MXC, did anyone die during the making? So, get out your chain wallets, put a short-sleeved shirt over a long-sleeved shirt, crack open a Sprite Remix, and “DON'T GET ELIMINATED!” This is a fun one. Dan & Manny welcome Author Ross Benes to discuss his book 1999 The Year Low Culture Conquered America and Kickstarted Our Bizarre Times. “I chose [19]99 out of all the years because it was just the wildest and most wackadoodle year of [the 90s]. You can write a similar book on 98 [...] but I think 99 is just a little more insane in the membrane.” -Ross Benes This episode of Nostalgia 101 author Ross Benes takes Manny & Dan to school on all things 1999. His book 1999 The Year Low Culture Conquered America and Kickstarted Our Bizarre Times seems to have foreseen the times we find ourselves in and might hold key answers to some off questions about the cultural pickle we're attempting to escape. They go from unpacking the impact of The Jerry Springer Show to The Insane Clown Posse, Juggalos, and Beanie Babies to Y2K, Napster, and the oversaturate porn industry. This is the exact type of episode that The Nostalgia Test Podcast is built for and ross Benes more than delivered. Get Ross' book. It's the sort of pop-culture analysis that satisfies the academic audience, general fandom audience, and the high-strung 90s fanatic. Oh, and he gives us a really great Rocky franchise ranking. Rochester rave survivor, Purchase/White Plains running buddy via Aurora. They unpack decades: Jenni's attic stoner days, early acid/coke/ecstasy raves (Toronto runs, Sputnik parties, Rabbit in the Moon Doors cover), PCP bong hits, heavy heroin spiral (via Dave/Todd/DK circle), Brooklyn dope-sick chaos (doom sessions, Afrin-bottle tar smoking), California sober shift (mushrooms epiphany, divorce, working out), and current North Carolina life (California sober, thrifting, no heroin/ecstasy since kids). Jenny opens up about childhood trauma (abusive junkie dad, sexual abuse), brother's $300K safe heist gone wrong, jail/probation dodging, and cold-turkey quit post-pregnancy. Dave reflects on linked timelines (heroin origins, shared friends, Southern roots insight), misses Todd, plugs sponsors (Oro, Mountainside, Orchard, Recovery Unplugged), reads Spotify comments on Kevin McEnroe ep, teases Dopeywood 2026, and closes with listener's raw “Good So Bad” cover. This week on The Lexy Show, we're sitting down with the founder of Nostalgic Nooks, a Brooklyn-based creative venture transforming vintage electronics into cozy, one‑of‑a‑kind pet furniture. What started as a personal creative project—upcycling discarded radios and TVs into elegant pet beds—has grown into a beloved boutique that marries nostalgia, craftsmanship, and sustainability.  In our conversation, we explore how the brand was born at the intersection of retro charm and pure ingenuity, why preserving original vintage character matters, and how a playful idea became a thriving creative business. We dig into the tactile joy of breathing new life into forgotten objects and what it's like to build a community around something as whimsical and meaningful as pet furniture built from relics of the past.  We also discuss the emotional and environmental value of upcycling and how Nostalgic Nooks offers a new perspective on sustainable creative work—reminding us that the stories embedded in objects can live on in beautiful, functional ways. Whether you're a fan of vintage design, curious about sustainable creativity, or simply love hearing inspiring maker stories, this episode is a must‑listen.Tune in for a conversation that's equal parts heart, humor, and handmade magic.#TheLexyShow #NostalgicNooks #Upcycling #SustainableDesign #CreativeEntrepreneurs
