Fit + Fueled Performance was created by sisters, Andrea, and Jenny Orona. Andrea has been a teacher for the last 18 years in the El Monte City School District and currently teaches math and PE. Jenny has been a nurse for the last 9 years and is currently in a step-down ICU at Huntington Hospital. While dedicating much of their lives in the helping professions, they understand the need to also take care of themselves personally, as their jobs are both physically and mentally demanding. For them to perform at high levels within their jobs they have been working on their fitness with everything from at-home workouts like P90X and Insanity, globo gym classes and personal trainers, to spending several years in a CrossFit box. Because they’re both in helping professions, it was a natural progression to want to help others improve their health and quality of life. In 2015, both received their L1 CrossFit training certificate and have been training individual and group classes since. Andrea also became a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner in 2017 as well as a certified RESTART instructor to help clients incorporate healthy eating practices in order to complement a healthy lifestyle. On the podcast, we had talked about a free trial for our listeners and we were able to get that all set up as well.
