Dr. Jeremy Weisz is the Co-founder of Rise25, a company that helps B2B business owners connect with their ideal prospects, referral partners, and strategic partners through a done-for-you podcast service. Jeremy has been involved in podcasting for 15 years and was a senior producer for early business podcasts. He helped put all of their systems in place and helped them add volume, feature, and edify various business leaders. Jeremy has been running his podcast, Inspired Insider, since 2011. He has featured top entrepreneurs, founders, and CEOs of companies such as P90X, Atari, Einstein Bagels, Mattel, and the Orlando Magic. He continues to run his chiropractic and massage facility in downtown Chicago and is the founder of a nutritional supplement business. In this episode… Some business relationships seem to unlock opportunities effortlessly, while others stall despite effort. Building connections often feels transactional, but the most successful strategies are rooted in authenticity and value. Could the way you approach relationships be the missing link in growing your business? Dr. Jeremy Weisz, an expert in relationship strategy and business growth, explains that relationships are the foundation for profitable pipelines and sustainable success. He emphasizes the power of offering value first, building trust, and leveraging meaningful conversations instead of relying on cold outreach. Jeremy shares how consistent engagement with industry leaders and thoughtful networking can open doors to clients and partnerships that otherwise remain out of reach. By focusing on connection over immediate gain, businesses can create long-term opportunities and influence. In this episode of Owner's Profit Playbook, Pat Mancuso sits down with Dr. Jeremy Weisz, Co-founder of Rise25, to discuss turning conversations into growth opportunities. Jeremy highlights building deep relationships, leveraging podcasting for networking, and targeting key clients. He also touches on forming credibility in new industries and using conversations as marketing assets.

Are you jumping from trend to trend and still not getting the results you want? In this episode, we sit down to have a real, no-fluff conversation about why fitness trends, from Tae Bo to P90X to CrossFit to HYROX, keep pulling us in, and why chasing them before you've mastered the basics is costing you more than you think. In this episode, we talk about: Why social media makes trends feel urgent and how to see through the hype What you're actually not seeing when you watch that intense workout reel The "reaching over $100 bills to pick up pennies" analogy that will stop you mid-scroll Why novelty ≠ superiority (and what to do instead) The real fundamentals: strength training, nutrition, recovery, mindset, and community and why boring is where the magic lives How identity-based habits change everything ("I'm a woman who prioritizes her health") Why the women getting lasting results aren't doing the trendiest things they're staying consistent long enough for things to work The takeaway? Before you jump into the next shiny thing, ask yourself three questions: Am I already doing the fundamentals consistently? Am I looking for a shortcut? Do I need to recommit to the basics? The trends will come and go. A strong body, a strong mind, and a healthy lifestyle? Never go out of style.

Is "muscle confusion" just bro science, or does recent strength training research actually back it up? You might be surprised...We get into how muscles grow, why exercise selection changes which regions of a muscle develop, and the role of muscle length in hypertrophy. This episode covers the last decade of research on exercise variation and hypertrophy. These include studies on leg press vs. leg extension and on triceps and hamstrings at different muscle lengths. We distinguish the original P90X version of "muscle confusion" from the systematic variation (aka periodization and mesocycles) that you can intentionally plan into your strength training programming. This framing matters most for adults over 40 who've been told to pick a few compound lifts and add weight to the bar forever (sound familiar?).Join Eat More Lift Heavy, the 26-week coached program where adults over 40 build the nutrition and training skills to preserve muscle, lose fat, and manage their physique for life.Timestamps:0:00 - Muscle confusion and exercise variation 2:25 - Where "muscle confusion" came from 4:00 - Mechanical tension and progressive overload 5:52 - Muscles as regional structures 7:30 - Regional hypertrophy in the quads 10:24 - Muscle length and hypertrophy 14:30 - Strategic exercise selection 15:45 - Training programming for adults over 40 17:01 - 3 rules for planned variation 20:42 - Caveats on variation 23:35 - Bonus: lengthened-position swap per muscle group

Everyone remembers those iconic workout programs, but almost no one knows why they actually disappeared. In this episode, Chalene Johnson breaks down the truth behind popular fitness programs like Tae Bo, P90X, and Turbo Jam, the program she created, and what was really happening inside the fitness industry during the biggest home workout boom. From Tae Bo to P90X to Turbo Jam, these programs did not fail. They were designed to expire. And once you understand how the fitness industry really worked behind the scenes, you will never look at weight loss programs, before and after transformations, or 90 day challenges the same way again. This episode pulls back the curtain on the marketing, contracts, and consumer psychology that drove the cycle of quick fix workouts and repeat customers. It also reveals why so many top trainers ended up burned out, broke, or replaced, and why women kept losing and regaining the same weight over and over again. And yes, this insight comes from Chalene Johnson, who was not just observing it, she was building one of the biggest programs of that era with Turbo Jam. Check out this video on YouTube

From the cost objection to boring workouts to scheduling excuses, they expose what's really going on AND whether AI can step in and fill the gap. Spoiler alert... AI is NOT the answer. In this episode of Marni On The Move, I'm joined by Carl Daikeler, co-founder and CEO of BODi (formerly Beachbody) and one of the original pioneers of at-home fitness. More than 25 years ago, Carl saw an opportunity to bring structured, results-driven fitness into people's homes—long before streaming platforms, wearables, or social media made it mainstream. That vision led to the creation of iconic programs like P90X and helped define an entirely new model for how people train outside the gym. In our conversation, Carl shares how direct-response marketing shaped the way fitness programs were built, distributed, and scaled; how the industry evolved from VHS to digital platforms; and how consumer priorities have shifted from aesthetics to healthspan, longevity, and sustainability. We also discuss the evolution of fitness programming through systems like Power 90, the introduction of BODi, and the launch of P90X Generation Next. Carl explains why accessibility, consistency, and community are now central to long-term success—and why strength and core training remain foundational for everyone, regardless of age or fitness level. Fad workouts have been with us for decades, but they go back much further than we realize. Long before CrossFit, Zumba, P90X, Tae Box, Jazzercise or Jack LaLanne, we had 19th century strongmen. These mustachioed showmen were the first global fitness influencers. They hauled trunks of weights onto steamships, toured the world, then sold exercise equipment through the mail. The most famous was Eugene Sandow, who broke chains, and created with his own body a "manned cavalry bridge" where he would lie down while men, horses, and a carriage were driven over his body. He even fought a lion in front of an auditorium and won, although the lion was almost definitely sedated. Today’s guest is Connor Heffernan, author of “When Fitness Went Global: The Rise of Physical Culture in the Nineteenth Century.” In this episode, we discuss: Ancient Egyptians were basically doing CrossFit thousands of years ago. They trained with swinging sandbags that look exactly like modern kettlebell flows. One of the first exercise practices to experience globalization was Indian club-swinging. Indian club-swinging, originating from the heavy training clubs used by Indian wrestlers and soldiers for centuries, was observed and adopted by British military officers stationed in India during the early 1800s. Early diet culture was a carnival of quack science. Victorian fitness magazines were filled with miracle tonics, starvation cures and pseudoscientific meal plans. Many of our “new” diet trends are rebranded versions of schemes first marketed with sepia portraits and dubious testimonials. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

We are still in the first month of the New Year, which I wanted to keep our focus on health and wellness, because I believe this should be one of the cornerstones we put our attention towards. Not just because it's the beginning of a New Year, but because truly when you feel your best it reflects in ALL areas of your life. This episode though is especially for the ones that find it hard to keep a routine, that maybe fitness and nutrition is one area your struggle in maintaining, or simply for that person that is committed to making this year the year you take ownership of your health and wellbeing.  My guest today is Carl Daikler, the co-founder and CEO of BODi, formerly Beachbody, a pioneer in at-home fitness and nutrition for over 25 years. A direct marketing expert turned wellness entrepreneur, Carl created the breakout hit :08 Minute Abs before building one of the industry's most comprehensive libraries of fitness and nutrition content, including over 140 unique programs including P90X and Insanity from world-renowned "Super Trainer" experts.   Under his leadership, BODi evolved from Beachbody, reflecting a shift from appearance-focused goals to holistic health. He spearheaded innovations like Shakeology®, one of the leading superfood supplements, and built one of the earliest social-influencer and affiliate networks to drive growth and community support. In today's episode we discuss: How Microdose fitness can be a game changer for those with time constraints Setting up a routine for success in fitness The role nutrition plays and hacks to help you with the subtle changes that make a big difference Lifestyle changes that are essential for long-term health benefits Making our goals visible to help maintain focus and motivation How to develop consistency Overcoming personal struggles in maintaining a workout routine For full show notes and episode resources head to: https://ericalippy.com/carl-daikeler/ Watch episode on YouTube Guest: Carl Daikeler:  Website Instagram, BODi Instagram Get start with BODi programs Shakeology  supplements Follow me on Social Media: Listen on YouTube Your Host: @ericalippy Podcast: @passionlovepursuit PASSION LOVE PURSUIT PODCASTS: https://ericalippy.com/the-podcast/

Jim shares how his early experiences shaped his love for athletics, despite facing challenges growing up. He details the pivotal moment in his mid-30s when he realized he wasn't setting the right example for his children, leading him to completely transform his health and career. What started with P90X in his living room turned into an internship at a CrossFit gym, eventually leading him to open his own training facility. Jim dives into the sacrifices he made, including financial struggles and long hours, to build his gym from the ground up. His commitment to learning, coaching, and helping others—especially young athletes and individuals facing adversity—has defined his purpose and mission. Jim also discusses his evolution as a coach, expanding beyond his gym to impact more people through his book, Athlete Built: The Blueprint to Build Champion Athletes, and his new digital course. He shares how his philosophy is rooted in structured habits, mindset, and training principles that apply to both sports and life. We talk about the importance of setting goals, measuring progress, and developing a blueprint for success, whether you're an aspiring athlete or simply trying to improve yourself. His journey is a testament to perseverance, the power of mentorship, and the willingness to take risks in pursuit of something greater.
