The Wright State softball team’s most impactful player hasn’t appeared in game this spring. But she's still made a significance difference on the Raiders. Emma Bush, a junior at Bethel High School in Tipp City, played softball most of her life until she was sidelined with a broken wrist and was unable to walk after her surgery. Bush was diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. “I feel like I’m on a team again, and it’s such an awesome experience,” said Bush. Last November, Bush signed an official contract and national letter of intent to join the Wright State softball team through Team Impact, which places courageous kids with collegiate athletic teams. “Having Emma here has been great for our team,” Alexis Mayle, a junior who plays first base. The Raiders, who are 33-20 overall and in first place in the Horizon League, close out the regular season at home May 6-7 versus Valparaiso.
