The Jays paid big money for a free agent to bring Canadian Russell Martin home, then took a calculated risk to ship popular star Brett Lawire to the Oakland Athletics for Josh Donaldson. Note: This week's podcast was sadly recorded prior to the news of Josh Donaldson's release from the organization. But do know that we would have enjoyed dancing on the grave of his Yankees career. Technically this past week of Yankees baseball was slightly more palatable than the previous week. They actually won two whole games this time, which is still an improvement over the eight-game losing streak they took into last week's podcast. The streak went up to nine games before Aaron Judge had enough and put the team back in the win column, courtesy of a three-homer game. In the final segment of the hour Shohei Ohtani comes up regarding where he ends up and how great of a player he is. If he ends up on the Giants, would be the greatest player who was on a team named the Giants. Hour 3: Pete Hoffman's swollen tongue becomes the topic of discussion along with how fast he speaks.
