Some practices struggle during periods of uncertainty while others become an anchor their communities trust because they never question the value they deliver. Dr. Lona and Dr. Andrew Alekna explore why certainty in chiropractic is built long before economic downturns or personal crises arrive, and why patients continue investing in care when they fully understand its value. The conversation challenges doctors to examine whether hesitation around fees, retention, or recommendations reflects a communication problem rather than a financial one, emphasizing that great adjustments, thorough report of findings, consistent patient education, and authentic connection all contribute to perceived value. When doctors confidently communicate what chiropractic truly offers and continually refine both their hands and their message, practices become more resilient, patients remain committed through uncertainty, and care becomes something people prioritize rather than postpone. Key Highlights 01:16 – Why rising fuel prices reveal something every practice owner should understand about patient value. 07:23 – What became clear during COVID about the practices that continued to grow while others struggled. 10:58 – The overlooked form of value patients often receive before an adjustment is ever delivered. 14:33 – Why patient education determines whether people view care as essential or optional. 15:58 – The difference between providing services and delivering an adjustment patients genuinely recognize. 17:18 – Why confidence in your hands directly influences confidence in your recommendations. 18:08 – A closer look at the hidden value contained in an exceptional Day One and Report of Findings. 19:13 – What changes when doctors begin viewing care as preventing future health costs instead of treating current symptoms. 20:23 – Why affordability is often a perception problem rather than a pricing problem. 22:58 – The conversation around certainty that ultimately shapes patient trust, retention, and long-term practice stability. 26:51 - Our feet play a far greater role in nervous system function than most chiropractors realize. Dr. Malcolm Rudd sits down with Dr. Andrew Powell from Success Partner Better Balance Orthotics to explore how sensory-based orthotics support posture, balance, and adjustment retention while giving practices an easy-to-implement solution that benefits both patients and practice growth. When the Chiropractor Became the Patient: Dr. Jason Gilbert on Mercury Toxicity and Healing Episode Description What happens when a chiropractor who has spent decades helping other people heal suddenly becomes the patient himself? In this episode of Conversations with a Chiropractor, Dr. Stephanie Wautier talks with Australian chiropractor, author, educator, and World Surf League sports practitioner Dr. Jason Gilbert. Jason's career began with an unexpected move to South America, where he discovered that chiropractic care was largely unavailable. Armed with a portable table, a plastic spine, limited Spanish, and a deep belief in the body's ability to heal, he began treating patients in Peru and traveling through the Andes and Amazon. What started as a personal adventure grew into two decades of clinical work, television appearances, public education, and involvement in one of Latin America's earliest university chiropractic programs. Jason shares how a single television invitation brought dozens of families into his clinic, how his work eventually led him to host health programming, and what he learned while introducing chiropractic to communities that had never experienced it. But Jason's greatest lessons came when his own health began to fail. He describes developing severe symptoms after having dental amalgam fillings removed, eventually being told that his mercury level was dramatically elevated. That experience led him into functional medicine and changed the way he understood toxicity, nutrition, recovery, and the causes behind chronic symptoms. Jason also shares the spinal injury that ultimately required surgery, despite years of helping other patients avoid operations. His recovery introduced him to hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which later became an important part of his professional work. Stephanie and Jason explore chiropractic philosophy, spinal health, nervous system function, mercury toxicity, functional medicine, hyperbaric oxygen, surfing injuries, stress, sleep, hydration, nutrition, live-blood microscopy, ionized water, and the foundational habits that support health. This is a conversation about becoming a pioneer, learning through adversity, and discovering that even the practitioner sometimes has to become the patient. This episode includes personal experiences and discussion of chiropractic care, dental amalgam removal, mercury testing, spinal surgery, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, live-blood microscopy, alkaline or ionized water, supplements, and other wellness practices. The views and experiences shared belong to the guest and may include uses or claims that are not established for every condition. This episode is educational and is not a substitute for individualized medical or dental care. What if the biggest barrier to patient retention isn't your care, but the time it takes patients to get answers? Today's patient wants answers fast. Today's Chiropractor wants to increase speed, quality of care - and compensation for all of the above. Technology is the answer. As patient expectations continue to accelerate, practices that can provide immediate clarity, faster care pathways, and greater certainty create a significant advantage. Dr. Timay sits down with John Conidi from Next Healthcare to explore how in-house radiology helps reduce patient drop-off, improve retention, mitigate medico-legal risk, and create new revenue opportunities for the practice. The conversation unpacks the financial realities of implementing imaging, the critical role of radiologist reporting in protecting both patients and providers, and how emerging AI technology may soon help identify urgent findings faster than ever before. The result is a compelling look at why imaging is becoming far more than a diagnostic tool. It's becoming a strategic driver of better patient experiences, stronger clinical outcomes, and sustainable practice growth. In This Episode You Will Discover: Why a simple referral outside the practice may be costing far more patients than most realize The overlooked medico-legal responsibility that comes with every image taken A revenue opportunity hiding inside a service many practices already recommend How reducing diagnostic delays can dramatically strengthen patient trust and retention The emerging AI capability that could identify urgent cases before they reach the top of the reporting queue Episode Highlights 02:04 - Why the speed of getting answers may matter just as much as the quality of care. 02:41 - A simple referral for imaging may be creating more patient drop-off than most practices realize. 03:37 - The path from diagnosis to care changes dramatically when answers happen immediately. 04:09 - Every X-ray captures more than the spine, creating a level of responsibility many practitioners never fully consider. 05:45 - What if radiology reporting could become a strategic asset instead of simply another expense? 08:24 - The strongest return on an X-ray machine may have less to do with reimbursement than with practice growth. 09:16 - Convenience isn't just good service anymore. It's becoming a competitive advantage. 10:40 - Removing barriers to advanced imaging could dramatically shorten the patient's journey to answers. 15:19 - What if months of waiting for an MRI could become a matter of days? 16:52 - The future of radiology may not be faster reports, but knowing which patients need attention first. 19:05 - One routine image uncovered something nobody expected and completely changed the care plan. 19:36 - Taking the image is only the beginning. The real responsibility starts with everything that comes after. 20:39 - Dan Anticich from Success Partner Twoconnect, joins Dr. Andrew to discuss how chiropractic practices can improve lead conversion, patient reactivation, and operational efficiency through dedicated offshore support. They explore how virtual team members help practices protect marketing investments, strengthen patient communication, reduce administrative workload, and create scalable systems that support sustainable growth. Movement isn't just something we should do, it's something we were built to do. Yet modern life has quietly rewritten the way our bodies behave. Most of us now spend the majority of our day sitting: at desks, in cars, on sofas, hunched over laptops and phones. Hour after hour, day after day, our bodies adapt to this stillness. Hips tighten, backs weaken, posture collapses, and the brain begins to treat these limited patterns as “normal.” The result? A generation of people who are more sedentary than any humans in history - and increasingly unhappy, uncomfortable, and in pain. In this episode of The Happier Life Project host Gabby explores this crisis with someone who has dedicated his career to solving it. Dr Cuan Wayne Coetzee is a family and sports chiropractor and the best‑selling author of Why Movement Is Medicine. After earning his Master's in Chiropractic from Durban University of Technology in 2013, he practised in South Africa before relocating to London in 2019. He is the founder of MoveMed and creator of the Neural Re‑Education (NRE) Protocol, a neuroplasticity‑based system designed to help people move safely, confidently, and pain‑free. A former national triathlete and award‑winning researcher, he has lectured doctors in sports medicine and served as Team Chiropractor for England at the 2014 Indoor Cricket World Cup. He continues to help patients move pain-free through neuroscience-driven rehabilitation. In this episode, Dr Coetzee explains how our bodies; once shaped by walking, bending, lifting, squatting, reaching and running, are now shaped by chairs, screens, and stillness. He breaks down why back pain and neck pain have become universal, how repetitive sitting rewires the brain's movement “safe zones,” and why so many people feel stiff, fragile, or fearful of moving. Dr Cuan introduces neural re‑education, the process of teaching the body to move the way it was designed to, and explains how chronic pain becomes a learned neurological loop that can be unlearned through safe, intentional movement. He explains his seesaw analogy, illustrating how stress, inflammation, recovery and daily habits constantly tilt the body toward healing or overuse, and he shares the LENDS pillars - love, exercise, newness, diet and sleep - the foundations he believes everyone should address before getting lost in wellness trends. From the four pillars of movement (strength, endurance, mobility, balance) to the neuroscience of prediction error, Dr Coetzee offers a clear, compassionate roadmap for anyone wanting to feel better in their body. His message is simple and urgent: modern life may be making us unhappy and in pain, but movement, done well and done consistently, is one of the most powerful ways to reclaim our wellbeing. Practice growth rarely stalls because of a lack of skill. More often, it stalls because certainty hasn't caught up with ambition. Dr. Lona and Dr. Chris Grier unpack why certainty is the true foundation of sustainable practice growth. They explore the four pillars of certainty—clinical, philosophical, communication, and business acumen—and explain how each one shapes patient trust, leadership, decision-making, and practice culture. Through practical examples and personal experiences, they demonstrate that certainty is intentionally developed through observation, experience, and continual learning. They also explain why certainty is never something you permanently achieve. It must be continually strengthened through intentional growth, allowing chiropractors to lead with greater conviction, communicate with greater clarity, and build practices that continue to thrive year after year. Key Highlights 02:28 Why certainty is one of the greatest hurdles every young chiropractor must overcome before they can truly thrive. 03:48 Why certainty is the foundation of practice growth and why volume is built on conviction first. 05:08 What pressure reveals about your philosophy, your technique, and what really comes out when you're under stress. 06:23 The first two forms of certainty every chiropractor needs to develop and how they shape patient care. 09:23 The four pillars of certainty that influence your clinical decisions, communication, leadership, and business. 11:08 Why most chiropractors naturally develop one area of certainty while the others quietly limit their growth. 12:18 The three ways certainty is developed and how observation, experience, and study work together throughout your career. 15:08 Why your team's certainty determines how far your practice can grow. 16:28 Dr. Chris and Dr. Lona share where they lacked certainty early in practice and what helped them build it. 20:33 Why certainty requires continual investment and what happens when you stop intentionally strengthening it. 22:40 Better decisions start with better data. Dr. Stephen sits down with Dr. Josiah Fitzsimmons from Success Partner Lucro to discuss insights from the 2026 State of Chiropractic Report and how Lucro helps chiropractors benchmark performance, uncover hidden opportunities, and make data-driven decisions that improve profitability and long-term growth. Episode 26-27 How A Patient Used Their Mind To Heal Their Body Paul came to my office about a year ago complaining of congestion in his chest, chronic coughing, difficulty breathing and sleep apnea. In an attempt to get better he visited a medical doctor. The doctor prescribed him a few drugs and while they did offer some relief, they also produced some nasty side-effects. Side-effects he wasn't willing to live with. This inspired Paul to pursue a more natural approach. Unfortunately, this also ended in disappointment as the holistic doctor he visited placed him on a ton of supplements... supplements that DID provide some benefit but were costing Paul hundreds of dollars each month. Soon after that, a recommendation from a friend led him to my office. I put him on a program of Chiropractic care, dietary changes, and a FEW supplements. This led to significant improvement… But only up to a point. Despite the improvements, Paul's health was still not where he wanted it to be which led me to ask him the following question: "Do you believe your Mind can play a significant role in healing your Body?" He responded with a resounding "Yes." I then proceeded to give Paul three suggestions... suggestions which he faithfully followed. They worked! On this episode I share with you the three suggestions I gave Paul to get his Mind to heal his Body. Suggestions anyone can use. Please give this episode a good listen and, as always, share it with a friend. Thanks! ———————- Want to learn more? Many owners spend years building a successful practice only to discover they've built a business that still depends entirely on them. The result is a hidden ceiling on growth, freedom, and impact. Dr. Pete and Dr. Stephen challenge the conventional obsession with scalability and introduce a more powerful objective: durability. Through the concept of Week 13, they reveal how scheduled vacations become a leadership accelerator, a business stress test, and a catalyst for developing stronger teams, stronger systems, and greater trust. The payoff is a practice that continues to create value, serve patients, and grow even when the owner steps away. The most expensive vacation is the one that you never take. The second most expensive vacation is the one that you have to shut the practice down to take it. Build DURABILITY into your practice so that you don't have to pay for your vacation twice. Spend the money that you are going to lose. In This Episode You Will Discover: Why taking time away may be the fastest path to building a stronger business A leadership challenge that exposes whether a practice is truly durable The hidden cost of becoming indispensable to patients and team members How a vacation can become a transformational opportunity for an associate doctor A simple framework that turns time away into a catalyst for growth Episode Highlights 02:59 - A surprisingly simple recommendation reveals whether a business is truly built for growth. 03:43 - The distinction between scalability and durability changes the way success should be measured. 04:44 - One overlooked business metric dramatically impacts long-term value and freedom. 06:17 - A concept called Week 13 challenges conventional thinking about productivity and success. 08:27 - The most effective growth strategy may look suspiciously like stepping away. 08:36 - A powerful question exposes what must be true for a business to thrive without its owner. 09:29 - The connection between personal energy and business performance becomes impossible to ignore. 10:49 - Patient behavior often reveals a leadership issue hiding beneath the surface. 15:06 - An uncomfortable contradiction challenges the way many health-focused professionals live their lives. 17:37 - A decision that feels expensive in the short term may create outsized returns everywhere else. 18:58 - One experience can accelerate an associate doctor's growth faster than months of training. 21:21 - A looming deadline creates the kind of urgency that leadership development requires. 22:38 - The difference between being away and truly disconnecting becomes crystal clear. 25:38 - Dr. Chris is joined by Success Partner, Dr. David Fletcher of CLA to explore how neurocentric scanning technology transforms chiropractic communication and practice growth. They discuss using objective nervous system data to improve retention, scale with team leverage, increase PVA, and strengthen certainty in care planning. CLA's technology enhances attraction, conversion, collections, and long-term scalability. The biggest choke on your growth probably isn't a lack of New Patients. It's the invisible money constraints hiding inside an otherwise successful practice. Dr. Pete and Dr. Stephen unpack how flawed pricing strategies, broken money beliefs, and ineffective money models quietly choke growth, reduce profitability, and limit impact. Through real-world examples, practical benchmarks, and a powerful reframe around value, conviction, and outcomes, they reveal how remarkable businesses create the resources needed to expand their mission. The payoff is a clear framework for identifying hidden revenue opportunities, strengthening confidence in recommendations, and building a business that can sustainably serve more people. In This Episode You Will Discover: Why a seven-figure practice uncovered an additional six figures of annual revenue without adding a single new patient The uncomfortable truth behind underpricing and the stories that keep doctors stuck there A powerful distinction between charging for services and charging for outcomes How weak conviction silently shows up as poor conversion and inconsistent collections The money mindset shift that transforms profit from a guilty topic into a mission multiplier Episode Highlights 03:27 - The breakthrough starts by identifying the single constraint that makes every other problem look bigger than it is. 05:13 - A thriving seven-figure practice discovers hidden revenue simply by delivering and charging for overlooked value. 08:24 - The difference between growth and profitability turns out to be smaller than most owners think. 09:40 - An industry-wide statistic exposes just how much untapped potential is sitting inside existing practices. 10:54 - Growth accelerates when attention shifts from solving five problems to eliminating one bottleneck. 17:14 - A common leadership habit quietly prevents owners from seeing money that's already available. 18:16 - The stories doctors tell themselves about pricing may be costing far more than they realize. 19:40 - A simple benchmark challenges whether value and fees are actually aligned. 22:15 - The real value gap isn't what is being delivered. It's what is never being communicated. 26:01 - One subtle shift in how recommendations are presented can completely change the response. 29:00 - A lesson about commitment, value, and human behavior reframes the entire money conversation. 30:27 - The distinction between selling a service and creating an outcome changes everything. 31:29 - A powerful distinction challenges the conventional relationship between service, value, and transformation. 33:23 - Dr. Lona sits down with Dr. Brian Capra from Success Partner ClinicMind to explore how chiropractic practices are evolving beyond traditional EHR systems into fully integrated growth platforms. Dr. Chapa specializes in hormones, metabolism, and whole-body wellness, and as the founder of Living Well Clinical Nutrition, he has helped hundreds of people find real answers to fatigue, hormone imbalance, and chronic inflammation. He made one statement early in our conversation that set the tone for everything: nurses are his best and worst clients. And once you hear why, you won't be able to unhear it. We get into the real, practical, science-based strategies that work even with a nurse's unpredictable schedule — and why your days off might be the most powerful health tool you're not using. In This Episode We Cover: Why nurses are uniquely positioned — and uniquely at risk — when it comes to holistic health The true tax that shift work places on your hormones, metabolism, and inflammatory load How to break your fast in a way that supports your body instead of working against it How to structure the start of your day for holistic success even on a chaotic schedule The 70/30 rule and why it might be the most realistic and sustainable approach to wellness for nurses How intentional rest and recovery on your days off can prevent and reverse burnout Why lasting transformation requires getting to the root — not just managing symptoms Wholly Well Intensive Are you tired of knowing what you should do for your health but never having the space, support, or clarity to actually do it? The Wholly Well Intensive was designed for you. This is my signature 1:1 experience that combines a WholeBio Insights™ bioresonance scan — a powerful tool that looks at what's happening beneath the surface in your body — with a 90-minute private coaching session where we take those results and build a personalized roadmap for your restoration. Spirit, soul, and body. This isn't a group program. This isn't a course you'll never finish. This is you, getting focused, faith-grounded support to start moving from depletion to wholeness. That's exactly the kind of territory we cover inside the Wholly Well Intensive. If you're ready to stop surviving your schedule and start stewarding your health, I want to help you do that. The Morning Rant’s Rally Towel Tuesday covered a little bit of everything, with Dave Garner and Billy D diving into the ongoing World Cup excitement, including Morocco’s upset of the Netherlands and anticipation for the U.S. men’s match against Bosnia, while also discussing Wimbledon, the PGA’s proposed new format, and the future of LIV Golf. We can't wait to experience miracles with you! Welcome to a new episode of the Future Generations Podcast! Today, Dr. Stanton Hom sits down with Dr. Patrick Flynn, a chiropractor, immunology geek, and founder of a rapidly growing network of clinics known for life-changing clinical results. In this episode, they unpack the clash between the dominant medical "firefighter" model and a chiropractic "carpenter" paradigm that sees the body as intelligently adaptive, not broken. From trauma, toxins, and thoughts to auto-suggestion, vaccines, fertility, and the gut–brain–immune connection, Dr. Flynn lays out how chiropractic thinking reshapes labs, lifestyle, and long-term outcomes. You'll hear real clinical stories, hard questions about responsibility and prevention, and a powerful call for chiropractors and patients alike to reclaim a vitalistic, principle-driven approach to health and freedom. Highlights: "You don't see the world the way it is, you see the world the way you are." "True preventative health care is more of a chiropractic principle." "A true scientist will always have a comma in his sentence, not a period." "I'm a chiropractor. That just separates me from the thinking that dominates us today."
