For our friends in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, 5 years have elapsed since Thanos snapped his fingers and instantly removed half the population in the galaxy.  For Remember When, it's been over a year.  Time travel is funny like that ;) Now that we're back from our extended stay on Titan, we've got some catching up to do... personally, and cinematically!  We start the show with a spoiler-laden discussion on Avengers: Endgame.  When we last left our Marvel heroes, they were scattered across the galaxy, like dust in the wind (too soon?).  Endgame has the tough job of landing a story arc that has carried over 11 years and more than 20 movies.  Did it succeed? What DIDN'T we like?  Listen in and get settled, because we have thoughts. After that, we're gonna jump right into Spider-Man: Far From Home.  Peter Parker's return from The Blip, and his extended stay on Titan, has some serious MCU repercussions.   In the midst of this, we have some quick chats about Captain Marvel, Into The Spider-Verse (which, OMG, watch it on Netflix if you haven't yet!) and more. As the show closes, we also talk about The Matrix (two decades of Neo goodness!), the fade-out of the Netflix Marvel era, and more.  Oh, and Jay's been a busy beaver in our show absence! Listen in at the end to hear what's in store for our next episode. We appreciate all our fans for your support, your words of encouragement, and your patience.  Thanks for the emails, tweets, and Facebook comments you've left us in the past year! And if you haven't seen it yet, be sure and stop by our Facebook page for an idea of what lies ahead. Please note that we're no longer maintaining FilmTangent... it was a lot of upkeep for what amounted to being an extraneous channel.  To keep up with us between shows, follow us on our Facebook & Twitter accounts for the show (@rwpodcast) ... or via our Twitter accounts (@JasonVeeBee and @vicious696)

Six months ago, a podcast faded into a quiet slumber, hibernating its way through the slow winter crawl.  Now, two show hosts emerge, bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready to talk about the shows and movies they love.  Remember When is back! We return with a brand new, unscripted show that's recorded on-the-fly as we sit down and catch up on the things we've missed over the past half year.  We discuss the lengthy gap between shows (we're very sorry) and talk about the things in our lives that have kept us focused elsewhere.  But then we dust off our microphones and jump right into the swing of things. And boy, is there a lot to discuss! Walking Dead is coming off its best season ever, Breaking Bad rang our bell (if you know what I mean), Mad Men's about to return... cable TV is on FIRE right now!  And with the summer roster of movies featuring titles like The Amazing Spider-man, The Dark Knight Rises, and Prometheus, 2012 is on track to be one of the best years for pop culture hounds.   Parris has a confession in the episode, and we take the tangents to a new level by walking right out of the Remember When podcast and back into our old UncleGamer chairs. This episode is our way of getting back into the swing of things, and lets us catch up while catching you up as well.  Remember When is a product of love from Jay and Parris.  We do this because we're friends, and our friendship is the podcast.  But we appreciate our listeners as well, and we thank you for the many kind (and a few that were less than kind) letters, emails, and voicemail messages you sent us these past few months.  Having your support enables us to do the show and encourages us to keep doing this. As always, you can find us on Twitter at RWPodcast, on Facebook at http://facebook.com/rwpodcast, and on the web at FilmTangent.com.  Or, if you'd like to leave us feedback, you can call us at 206-495-1732 or email us at rw@filmtangent.com.  Thanks, and enjoy the show! Time stamps provided for spoiler purposes.  Please note that we do tangent occasionally, and may have other spoilers in between: 0:00 - 9:37 ->  Catching up 9:37 - 15:58 -> Walking Dead 15:58 - 27:45 -> Breaking Bad 27:45 - 30:00 -> Mad Men 30:00 - 31:57 -> The Dark Knight Rises 31:57 - 36:10 -> Homeland 36:10 - 44:57 -> Parris' confession 44:57 - 46:50 -> The Amazing Spider-Man 46:50 - 48:44 -> Flashback to UncleGamer 48:44 - 54:56 -> The year of movies that aren't affected by the Writer's Strike 54:56 - 1:11:17 -> The continuing decline of network TV (includes mild spoilers on Parks & Rec and The Office, as well as general discussion of Alcatraz, Fringe, Terra Nova, Once Upon a Time, and a few others I may be forgetting) 1:11:17 -> Wrap up

While familiar, there's a lot that's new and exciting about this episode of Just Talking. I welcome back Parris from TalkingAboutGames and FilmTangent in what became a lengthy discussion about all things Parris. This episode is part one, focusing on the video game aspect of his life. Curious about the status of UncleGamer Radio? Parris opens up about why he hasn't felt like recording in a long while. Curious about how relationships with PR work? Parris also opens up, in great detail, about the good, bad and ugly side of being a 'little guy' trying to get access. Next week will be part two of our conversation focusing on film and television. Until then, here is your first dose of The Mind of Parris. Enjoy.Podcaster's Note: This podcast is edited to remove references to games, companies or other individuals that do not need to be explicitly named. The stories are real, as are the lessons, but those specifics aren't essential.Run Time - 1:00:15
