Here's today's episode of The Kristian Harloff Show, and the big question on the table is a spicy one: Is Wonder Man actually the cure for superhero fatigue? Early reviews are in, and Wonder Man is being called the best-reviewed MCU TV series in four years, with critics praising its originality, tone, and willingness to break away from the Marvel formula. Some are even calling it the most refreshing Marvel show since WandaVision—which is no small claim. We break down what's working, why audiences seem to be responding, and whether this could signal a creative turning point for Marvel Studios. Also on the show, we dive into Spider-Man's future, as Spider-Man: Brand New Day director Destin Daniel Cretton teases a major tonal shift for the next web-slinger outing. What does that mean for Peter Parker, and how different could this movie feel compared to previous MCU Spider-Man films? Plus, with Super Bowl LX right around the corner, we run through the six blockbuster movie trailers you absolutely can't miss, including what studios are expected to drop and which upcoming films could dominate the conversation heading into 2026. All that, plus speculation, debate, and plenty of hot takes—let us know in the comments if Wonder Man won you over or if superhero fatigue is still very real for you. From shocking reports about Marvel Studios canceling the long-troubled Blade solo movie to claims that Mahershala Ali's Daywalker may instead debut as part of a Midnight Sons team-up, there is a lot to unpack for MCU fans. We also dive into a surprising new direction for The Batman – Part II, where new rumors suggest the sequel could shift focus away from Harvey Dent and instead introduce Gilda Dent as a potential female Two-Face. What would that mean for Matt Reeves' Gotham and the tone of the sequel? On the Marvel side, the Spider-Man: Brand New Day rumor mill is heating up again, with Sadie Sink's name being strongly linked to Jean Grey in the MCU. Could Marvel be setting the stage for the X-Men through Peter Parker's next chapter? Plus, we discuss new Man of Tomorrow rumors, including a mysterious spoiler reference and the possibility of Wonder Woman appearing in the DCU's Superman film. How much of this is setup for the wider DC Universe, and what does it tell us about James Gunn's long-term plan? Welcome back to Marvel Us Disney for the first episode of 2026, where Jim Hill and Dan Graney kick off the year by looking at how Marvel is embracing chaos, memory, and unfinished business. From carefully timed leaks and legacy character returns to the stories and creators who never quite got their final chapter, this episode connects Marvel's current strategy to the people and moments that shaped it. Along the way, the conversation takes some thoughtful detours into Hollywood history, creator recognition, and one very famous Spider-Man movie that almost happened. NEWS • Marvel's early-2026 rollout leans into controlled chaos, with Avengers: Doomsday teasers, overseas trailer ratings, and leaks that feel increasingly intentional • The return of legacy characters like Steve Rogers, Thor, and the X-Men signals a broader strategy, not just nostalgia • Why Marvel's staggered teaser strategy may be quietly helping Avatar: Fire and Ash dominate IMAX screens • Disney+ quietly drops all episodes of Wonder Man at once, adding it to the growing list of well-liked Marvel TV “orphans” • A meaningful tribute to Jack Kirby in New York City highlights how recognition sometimes comes from community, not corporations FEATURE • The origin of James Cameron's unmade Spider-Man film, including scripts, tone, and planned villains • How Cameron's darker, more adult take on Peter Parker clashed with a legal maze of rights and lawsuits • Why this unrealized project still explains Spider-Man's endless adaptability across reboots and eras • How Marvel's biggest “what ifs” continue to echo through today's franchise decisions HOSTS • Jim Hill - IG: @JimHillMedia | X: @JimHillMedia | Website: JimHillMedia.com • Dan Graney - Website: thehubbubbery.com FOLLOW • Facebook: JimHillMediaNews • Instagram: JimHillMedia • TikTok: JimHillMedia SUPPORT Support the show and access bonus episodes and additional content at Patreon.com/JimHillMedia. In this episode, Eric swings through three eras of Spider-Man and the three actors who defined them: Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland. This isn't a “who's best” debate. It's a character study — why Tobey still feels like the heart of Peter Parker, why Andrew's electric, grief-soaked Spider-Man lives in our ribs, and why Tom Holland's MCU Spidey might be the most complete journey we've seen so far. From Uncle Ben's unfinished conversation in the Raimi trilogy, to Gwen's haunting fall in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, to the lonely, sacrificial reset of No Way Home, Eric follows how each Spider-Man carries his own scars… and how their crossover feels less like fan service and more like destiny. Three Spider-Men. Three unfinished stories. One legacy that refuses to fade.

What if Peter Parker decided to trade in his web-slinging for a mayoral seat in New York City? In this laid-back chat, Kevin Schaeffer and Alex Matthews dive into the intriguing possibilities of Peter Parker stepping into the political arena. They explore how Spider-Man's moral compass and personal growth could reshape the city's landscape, especially after the loss of Aunt May. With the ever-controversial J. Jonah Jameson as his deputy, the duo debates how their dynamic could either stir up trouble or lead to surprising alliances. Alex and Kevin weave through the chaos of crime lords like Mr. Negative and Hammerhead, all while pondering whether Peter can balance the demands of public office with his superhero duties. They also toss around the idea of passing the torch to Miles Morales, creating a fresh take on heroism amid the trials of politics. Buckle up, because this episode is a wild ride through the multiverse of what-ifs!Takeaways: The episode dives into the intriguing concept of Peter Parker running for mayor of New York City, exploring how his dual identity could shape local politics and community impact. Listeners are treated to a thoughtful discussion on the challenges Peter would face balancing his superhero responsibilities with the demands of being a city leader. The hosts speculate on character dynamics, including the potential partnership between Peter and J. Jonah Jameson, showcasing how past rivalries could transform into a unique alliance. Throughout their banter, they humorously touch on the idea of Peter's political campaign slogan being inspired by Uncle Ben's wisdom, making it relatable and endearing to fans. The conversation takes a twist as they explore the darker side of power, contemplating how Peter's well-meaning intentions could lead him down a path of tyranny, challenging traditional superhero narratives. Listeners are encouraged to engage with the 'what if' scenario, prompting thought on how various Marvel characters might navigate political landscapes and personal struggles. Jonah Jameson. Chris explores the issues' blend of slapstick villainy, Peter Parker's romantic tension with Betty Brant and Liz Allen, and the slice-of-life storytelling that made early Spider-Man so iconic.  Whether you're a vintage comic collectior, a Spider-Man lore buff, or just love classic Marvel drama, Chris lays out the plot and beats, and goes into Ditko's visual storytelling.

Episode 85 - Murdock and Marvel: 2013 Part 2 It was a pretty monumental year in comics, in the opinion of your humble co-host.  2013 is probably the best year for new comics of the 21st century to date, with a ton of variety and quality.  And people noticed!  This is part 2 of the podcast. that will feature the year in Daredevil, the Spotlight story and the Takeaway for 2013.   The Year in Daredevil  Appearances: Daredevil v3 #20-32, Daredevil: End of Days #2-8, Daredevil: Dark Knights #1-5, Avengers #34, New Avengers #33-34, Secret Avengers #34-35, Uncanny Avengers #2, Dark Avengers #187-188, Winter Soldier #13, Deadpool #11, Indestructible Hulk #9-10, Superior Spider-Man Team-Up #1, What if? AVX #1-4  Writer: Mark Waid (#20-31) Waid and Samnee (#32)  Pencils: Chris Samnee (#20-27 and #30-32), Javier Rodriguez (#28-29)  Inks: Chris Samnee (#20-27 and #31-32), Alvaro Lopez (#28), Javier Rodriguez (#29-30)  The year kicks off right where 2012 left off — Daredevil's been captured by a villain called Coyote, who has similar powers to the Spot and has literally separated Matt's head from his body. Still alive, Matt learns Coyote's been using his portals to smuggle weapons, drugs, and even people for cartels, with his main operation being human trafficking. Daredevil eventually escapes, shuts down Coyote's control machine, and discovers that the real Spot is another victim of all this. The story ends with both villains vanishing before Matt can find out who's behind it.  Next, Superior Spider-Man (Otto Octavius in Peter Parker's body) shows up at Kirsten McDuffie's request, worried Matt's losing his grip. The two heroes clash briefly before teaming up to stop an upgraded (with Doc Ock tech) Stilt-Man. Afterward, Spider-Man tells Matt about Kirsten's concerns, leading Matt to reconnect with Foggy, who reveals he may have cancer.  As Foggy's diagnosis — Ewing's Sarcoma — is confirmed, Matt continues investigating the group hunting him. Nelson & Murdock gets attacked, Kirsten breaks things off, and Matt's approached by a mysterious man in an orange jumpsuit offering to take him to his enemies.  Turns out those enemies are led by Bullseye, who's still alive but kept on life support. He's been trying to recreate the accident that gave Daredevil his powers, creating a single enhanced warrior — Ikari — who nearly kills Matt in battle. The final showdown with Ikari and Lady Bullseye on Bullseye's behalf ends with a building collapsing and Bullseye drowning in radioactive material that leaves him blinded and badly burned.  Next, Matt reconnects with his childhood bully Nate Hackett, now wrongfully accused due to former ties with the Sons of the Serpent. Matt helps him fight back in court, uncovering a Serpent plot and stopping a courthouse bombing in the process.  Late in the year we also get a fun one-shot where Daredevil teams up with the Silver Surfer to stop an alien named Ru'ach, who pretends to seek asylum on Earth but is really out to destroy it. During the story, Daredevil does get to ride the surfboard.  The year closes with The Jester inciting riots by doxxing jurors after a high-profile trial. Daredevil intervenes, only to discover the Sons of the Serpent are pulling the strings. With Foggy's help Matt traces their roots to the Darkhold, an ancient spell book, and travels to Kentucky to meet Darkhold expert Jack Russell — a.k.a. Werewolf by Night when Dr. Strange isn't able to provide much assistance. But before he can get answers, he's shot while trying to save two so-called “monsters” from an angry mob. Not complete, this story will continue as we move into 2014.   The other big story that ran the first half of the year was called Daredevil End of Days. This 8-part limited series by some of my favorite Daredevil creators is absolutely amazing and deserves full attention from this week's spotlight.     This Week's Spotlight: Daredevil End of Days #1 December 2012 “Part 1” through Daredevil End of Days #8 August 2013 “Part 8” Recap Why We Picked This Story Daredevil Rapid Fire Questions The Takeaway Sometimes comics are pretty awesome. Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends (1981) was not created during a time period when Bobby Drake was canonically gay, but watching "The Origin of Iceman" sure has Maddy and Ryan wondering about that. Thanks to the return of Video-Man (who has his own origin episode earlier in this series), Bobby Drake loses his mutant powers. Under the pretext of researching why this could have happened, Peter Parker straps Bobby into the university lab's memory machine, which allows Angelica and Peter to watch all of Bobby's embarrassing high school social gaffes on a big-screen TV. We soon learn Bobby would rather create a blizzard than dance with a girl, and even now, he can't manage to sit next to a girl on a couch. Also, this episode has some all-time great J. Episode 83 - Murdock and Marvel: 2012 Part 2 2012 was a year when the big news in comics all happened outside of shops, with movie theaters and social media dominating the industry. This is part 2 of the podcast. that will feature the year in Daredevil, the Spotlight story and the Takeaway for 2012.   The Year in Daredevil  Appearances: Daredevil v3 #6-19, Daredevil: End of Days #1 Fantastic Four #600, New Avengers #19-24 and #30-31, Amazing Spider-Man #677, Punisher #7 and 10, Avengers #24, Avengers vs X-Men #1-4 and #7-9, Avenging Spider-Man #6, Hulk #50, AVX Vs #2, Daredevil Annual #1, Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe #4, Secret Avengers #33  Writer: Mark Waid (#6-19)  Pencils: Marcos Martin (#6), Paolo Rivera (#7 and #9-10), Kano (#8), Khoi Pham (#10.1 and 13), Marco Checchetto (#11), Chris Samnee (#12, #14-16, and #18-19), Mike Allred (#17)  Inks: Marcos Martin (#6), Joe Rivera (#7 and #9-10), Kano (#8), Khoi Pham (#10.1), Marco Checchetto (#11), Chris Smanee (#12, #14-16 and #18-19), Tom Palmer (#13), Mike Allred (#17)  2012 Begins with the last couple books of the Omege Drive, MegaCrime Organizations and the Mutually Assured Destruction that allowed Daredevil and friends to get out of a sticky situation but also left a target on Daredevil's back.   In February, we get an award winning 1-shot where after Matt Murdock attends a holiday party, he volunteers to take some blind kids on a ski trip. The bus ends up getting into a crash and Daredevil tries to lead the kids out of the cold – but it ends up being the kids that save Murdock and themselves.  In March, we get a two-part story that starts in Amazing Spider-Man #677 called “The Devil and the Details”. In it, we see Peter Parker lamenting his recent breakup with Carlie Cooper, trying to be cool with Black Cat (which goes horrible) and then seeking out Matt Murdock & Daredevil when Black Cat is arrested. She says she's been frames for a break-in at Horizon Labs.    After Black Cat breaks out of police custody, the three locate the inventor of stolen Holographic projector. He's been poisoned and has little time to live. Spider-Man rushes him to a hospital while Black Cat and Daredevil secure the projector from members of Black Spectre and basically removing them as a threat. As a “reward” for helping, Black Cat and Daredevil passionately kiss with Spider-Man looking on and saying one of the best lines ever “I think this is my super villain origin.” They go back to Matt's place but before anything happens – he's called away to the graveyard of his father where some weird things are going on. Specifically, that his and other graves have been emptied.  This leads us into the next story that involves heading underground and a confrontation with Mole Man. Mole Man is stealing coffins to try to find the love of his life Lorna whom he loved as Dr Harvey Elder and wants to be with. Daredevil ultimately “saves” the body of Lorna (and some diamonds) and returns to the surface. Upon going home, he reads a note from Black Cat admitting she was hired to steal the Omega Drive from him – but doesn't and warns him to watch his back  After a 10.1 book that acts as a lead-up, we get a 3-part crossover where Spider-Man, Daredevil, and the Punisher team up in order to protect the Omega Drive from the Megacrime organizations with each book getting part of the story titled “The Omega Effect.” This will be our spotlight story this week.  Next, we get a 1-shot story showing Matt Murdock and Kirsten McDuffie on a date – which goes well until a Black Spectre agent threatens the pair about the Omega Dive. That leads to a giant battle in the middle of Time Square between himself (with the Omega Drive) and the 4 megacrime organizations while the events are broadcast throughout the city. The fight ends with a Black Spectre Agent securing the drive and leaving. Later, Daredevil kicks down the door of Avengers Mansion, where members of the New Avengers - Wolverine, Mockingbird, Spider-Man, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage - are changing out of Black Spectre uniforms and we learn the fight in Time Square was staged and the drive is destroyed.    Turns out there are repercussions for losing Latveria a lot of laundered money and Daredevil is next abducted and being held at Castle Doom in Latveria by the Minister of Bank Chancellor Exchequer Beltran. After a failed escape attempt, Daredevil is eventually rescued by the Avengers but not before some nanobots are injected into Daredevil causing his senses to all but disappear.   Back in America, Hank Pym shrinks to micro size and enters Murdock's brain to fight the nanobots with the guidance of Dr Strange.  Despite some weird readings, Pym successfully destroy all the nanobots and Murdock's senses start to return. Later, Murdock returns to Nelson & Murdock law offices where he's confronted by Foggy Nelson saying he's found Matt's secret – showing him Jack Murdock's remains and boxing gloves in Matt's desk. A stunned Matt tries to tell Foggy he didn't rob his own father's grave, that he's been set up, but Foggy will hear none of it. Foggy tells Matt that they're through until Matt gets the help he needs.  After a flashback story involving Stilt-man, we see Nelson and Murdock still at odds over the remains. Foggy's worries about Matt's mental state are increased because Matt calls him and says Milla Donovan is in apartment unaware of anything bad ever happening to her. Nelson agrees to go to the hospital where Milla was committed if Daredevil will look into a case involving a drug lord Hierra dying and an innocent nurse accused of murder.   The year ends with Foggy telling Matt that he must have hallucinated Milla because he can see her inside her room at the hospital. Daredevil going after one of the drug lords bosses only to suspect Jardeim Salazar himself seemly falls down an elevator shaft trying to escape him. That leads to Daredevil dropping in on the only other Hierra's bosses as he tries to consolidate power – Anthony Tortino. Daredevil tries to warn the men about their common enemy, but things quickly turn south. Daredevil believes it's The Spot who's doing all this and jumps into a circular black portal after Tortino but is knocked out. He awakens to his hands being cuffed behind a post. Daredevil shouts in rage that Spot is a dead man, but the black hands that abducted him pick his detached head and the tormentor introduces himself as Coyote.  This Week's Spotlight: Avenging Spider-Man #6 June 2012 “The Omega Effect Part 1”, Punisher vol 9 #10 June 2012 “The Omega Effect Part 2” and Daredevil vol 3 #11 June 2012 “The Omega Effect Part 3”  Recap Why We Picked This Story Daredevil Rapid Fire Questions The Takeaway It is getting harder to separate comics from culture, to the detriment of the industry and its readers. Specifically, the alternate dimension showcased throughout Season 2 of Peacemaker is in fact the Nazi-ruled timeline of Earth-X. Subsequently, the "Peaceful Hips" emoji, which is based on a dance sequence from Season 2's opening dance number, has come under intense scrutiny, leading some to speculate that it is in fact a reference to an anti-Nazi Donald Duck short and/or the Nazi swastika. In a statement released via Twitter on Sept. 28, the official Fortnite Status account noted, "We're disabling the Peaceful Hips Emote in Fortnite as we inquire into our partner's creative intentions in this collab emote. Assuming it's not coming back, we'll issue refunds in the next few days. Sorry folks."

Everyone has problems they are trying to fix, from daily struggles to deeper issues like anxiety or a broken marriage. In this message, Pastor Jason takes a look at the movie Spider-Man: No Way Home to explore how our problems, much like Peter Parker's, don't exist in a vacuum and often become someone else's pain. Just like Peter tried to ignore, hide, and fix his problems on his own, we often do the same. However, ignoring our problems won't make them go away, and hiding them only makes them grow more dangerous. The Bible says that our sin will track us down and that the consequence of sin is always "later and greater". It always leads to a harvest of decay and death. Ultimately, Spider-Man realizes that to fix everything, a great sacrifice must be made. Similarly, the Bible tells us that the wages of sin is death, which means a sacrifice must be made to fix our problems. The good news is that we don't have to be the ones to make that sacrifice. While we were still powerless and caught in our sin, Christ died for us. God loves and values us so much that Jesus was glad to die in our place, giving us the opportunity for a new life. If you're tired of running, hiding, or trying to fix your problems on your own, it's time to stop and trust in the free gift of forgiveness and salvation that Jesus offers. He is the only way to have a true fresh start.

Read transcriptWelcome web-slinging warriors and joystick jockeys to another thrilling episode of Play Comics where we untangle the sticky situation of comic-to-game adaptations with the precision of Peter Parker trying to explain away his sudden photography skills! This week we're diving headfirst into the cel-shaded spectacular that is Ultimate Spider-Man, the 2005 game that took Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley's comic masterpiece and somehow convinced every gaming platform from here to the Daily Bugle that they needed a piece of this web-slinging action. Released across more systems than Spider-Man has quips in his arsenal—PS2, Xbox, GameCube, Game Boy Advance, and Nintendo DS—this Treyarch-developed adventure let players experience both sides of the symbiote coin. Whether you were swinging through Manhattan as everyone's favorite wise-cracking wall-crawler or stomping around as the terrifyingly toothy Venom, this game promised to deliver more comic book authenticity than J. Jonah Jameson has anti-Spider-Man editorials. Joining us for this ultimate discussion are two absolute legends from the podcasting multiverse: Derek B Gayle and Doug Fink, the dynamic duo behind Walloping Websnappers and a whole constellation of other fantastic shows on the Glitterjaw Queer Podcast Collective that may not be directly relevant to our web-slinging shenanigans today, but are undeniably brilliant nonetheless. When they're not busy dissecting every Spider-Man cartoon ever created or exploring the depths of various other pop culture phenomena, these two bring their encyclopedic knowledge of all things Spider to help us determine whether this game truly captured the essence of the Ultimate universe or if it just left us feeling like we'd been caught in one of Green Goblin's elaborate schemes. So dust off those early 2000s gaming controllers, practice your best Venom growl, and prepare for an episode that's guaranteed to be more entertaining than watching Eddie Brock try to explain his sudden career change from journalism to alien symbiote hosting! Learn such things as: Can you make a game that really fits in with the continuity of the comics AND have it stay that way? Will we sucker any artists into making Venomized versions of The Muppets? What kind of good butt battle would ensue between Venom and Captain America? And so much more! First: Reform is naff – and that's why people like itGareth Roberts warns this week that ‘the Overton window is shifting' but in a very unexpected way. Nigel Farage is ahead in the polls – not only because his party is ‘bracingly right-wing', but ‘because Reform is camp'. Farage offers what Britain wants: ‘a cheeky, up-yours, never-mind-the-knockers revolt against our agonisingly earnest political masters'.‘From Farage on down,' Roberts argues, ‘there is a glorious kind of naffness' to Reform: daytime-TV aesthetics, ‘bargain-basement' celebrities and big-breasted local councillors. ‘The progressive activists thought they could win the culture war simply by saying they had won it', but ‘the John Bulls and Greasy Joans are stirring again'. Roberts loves how ‘the current excitement over flag-raising' is the ‘conniptions' it gives to ‘the FBPE crowd'. Of course, for Farage, planning for government ‘really cannot be a pantomime affair'. But ‘in these grim times' we ‘need the romping Reform'. Gareth joins the podcast to make his case for Carry On Reform.Next: the ‘she' consumed by masculine rageLionel Shriver reacts to the latest school shooting in America. The perpetrator was widely reported in the media with the pronouns ‘she/her' which, Lionel argues, is not just an issue around politeness. This glosses over the fact that the shooter was biologically male, adding to the majority of cases of school shootings that are conducting by men. By pandering to this incoherence of the reality of the situation, it doesn't help society to uncover the reasons behind the issue.Lionel joined the podcast alongside the Spectator's US editor Freddy Gray. Freddy points out how this shooting is just one example of how younger people can be transfixed by the very darkest sides of the internet. And finally: why people make up languages Constructed language expert Dr Bettina Beinhoff and author and historian Peter Parker join the podcast to talk about ‘made-up' languages. Why do humans construct languages outside of their every-day speech? Most people will have heard of Klingon or Elvish, used in books and film, but what about Polari – the subversive language used by groups of LGBT people decades ago – or the Potato language – which writer Melanie Ferbreach says her parents used to hide their conversations from her. Listeners may be impressed to hear Lara's own attempt at 'eggy-peggy'...Plus: with a special introduction from our political editor, Tim Shipman interviews shadow justice secretary Robert Jenrick – is he trying to outflank Farage? Hosted by William Moore and Lara Prendergast.Produced by Patrick Gibbons and Natasha Feroze. Here, the multiverse starts to unravel, and Spider-Carnage takes center stage as one of Spider-Man's most terrifying foes.Spider-Carnage Emerges in Spider WarsTo begin, the panel explores how the episode immediately escalates the stakes. A sinister fusion of Spider-Man's clone and Carnage, Spider-Carnage threatens to destroy all of reality. As Spider-Man uncovers a web of alternate versions of himself, the hosts explain how the show skillfully balances high-concept storytelling with Peter Parker's emotional turmoil over identity and betrayal. Moreover, with the multiverse in danger, Madame Web steps in to guide Spider-Man through the chaos. Consequently, he must ally with unexpected counterparts, even when trust is difficult. The discussion emphasizes how the episode sets up an epic confrontation, establishing Spider-Carnage as both a physical and psychological threat.A Multiverse of Spider-MenNext, the hosts have a blast discussing the debut of multiple Spider-Men, ranging from armored Spidey to powerless Peter Parker. Furthermore, each variant brings unique quirks to the team. The panel praises how the episode gives every version a distinct personality, while still reinforcing Spider-Man's core theme of responsibility. In addition, they highlight the fun interplay between these heroes as they reluctantly come together under Madame Web's guidance.Building Toward the Spider Wars FinaleAs the tension continues to rise, the group reflects on how Spider Wars pushes the scale higher than anything the series has done before. Not only did the Red Skull, Kingpin, and other classic villains once threaten New York, but now Spider-Carnage threatens all of existence. Therefore, the hosts commend the episode's tight pacing, sharp writing, and willingness to push Peter Parker into uncharted emotional territory.Final Thoughts: Spider Wars Begins With a BangIn conclusion, the hosts agree that Spider Wars, Chapter 1: I Really, Really Hate Clones is an electrifying start to this final arc. With its bold multiverse concept, compelling Spider-Man variants, and the chilling menace of Spider-Carnage, this chapter successfully sets the stage for an unforgettable Spider Wars finale.
