In this episode, we dive deeper into the spiritual evolution that shapes our human experience - and we use one of the most charged pillars of the Matrix to explore it: money. Last week, we introduced the three spiritual phases every human is moving through: life is happening to me, life is happening for me, and life is happening through me. Today, we ground those concepts into the energetic reality of wealth, value, and the monetary system.We begin with the foundational state nearly all humans enter by default - the victim consciousness. This is the “to me” stage. In this mindset, money appears scarce, threatening, and overwhelming. It sounds like:“Money is evil.”“The system is corrupt.”“I can't get ahead.”“Life is unfair.”“I work and work and have nothing to show.”This perspective fuels fear, comparison, resentment, and existential dread about the future. The glass is always half-empty; there is never enough; life feels oppressive. We are born into this phase - spiritually and biologically - and many never move beyond it. Yet every moment of financial stress, scarcity, and fear is not punishment but feedback, calling us into awareness and growth.From here, we transition into the second phase: life is happening for me. This is the shift from victim to victor — not because circumstances change first, but because perception changes. The external remains neutral, like a glass of water sitting on a table. The illusion dissolves, and we realize we are not powerless. We begin to choose our thinking, choose our energy, and choose how we relate to money.Thoughts like “Money is opportunity,” “I get to use money,” and “Money allows me to serve and create” generate ease, empowerment, and abundance. The glass becomes half-full. With this expanded consciousness, actions shift, energy rises, and results follow. Money becomes a tool - not an enemy - and life begins to respond.Finally, we explore the rarest phase - the “through me” state of consciousness. At this level, the internal desire is no longer to receive but to share. This is the energetic dimension where money, as we know it, loses relevance. It dissolves naturally - not through force or rebellion, but by humanity evolving beyond the need for a medium of exchange built on debt and lack.Here, giving becomes the source of fulfillment. Each person contributes according to their unique gifts, and receives according to their true needs - not by mandate or ideology, but through a collective consciousness rooted in abundance instead of scarcity. This is not utopian fantasy; it is a future state of awareness, revealed as we individually and collectively transcend our conditioning.Right now, money remains part of our spiritual curriculum - a neutral tool designed to help us evolve. The Matrix at Cosm in LA opened on June 6th, 2025, which leverages Cosm's 87-foot, 12K+ LED immersive dome to show this classic film within a 16x9 frame while the additional space beyond the frame was filled with over 50 different scenes thereby expanding the worldbuilding beyond the frame. I finally had a chance to see it last month, and was really impressed with how much this additional space was able to increase the level of immersion, to amplify key emotional beats within the film, and create some truly awe-inspiring moments. I had a chance to speak with Alexis Scalice, Cosm's vice president of business development and entertainment, about Cosm's collaboration with Little Cinema, MakeMake, and Warner Brothers to launch their inaugural "Cinematic Shared Reality" immersive experience. The Matrix has a few more weeks of screenings before their second film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971) opens on November 21, 2025. And I also share some impressions of the two enhanced cinema productions of The Black Phone and M3GAN within Blumhouse Enhanced Cinema Quest App. These films have some similarities to what The Matrix at Cosm is doing, but at a much smaller scale and not nearly as effective as the expanded immersive worldbuilding in one of the greatest science fiction films of all time.
