We discussed James’ journey as he started out as an electrician, a company took a chance on him and allowed him to learn. Got a role as a planner, then a maintenance manager, then reliability engineer, then started working as a global reliability consultant to share his wealth of knowledge. He’s seen a lot of failed CMMS implementations, but also seen some of the greatest but it always comes down to three things — investing in training, setting an outcomes goal before you purchase a CMMS, and creating a detailed plan for rollout before you start.
