This episode is for every rider who's ever been told to “just relax” — and felt their body do the exact opposite. We unpack why confidence on the bike isn't a mindset you can switch on, but an outcome your nervous system earns through real evidence. From descending and cornering to the silent language of the bunch, you'll learn why advice like “soft hands” fails when you don't feel safe — and what actually works instead: progressive exposure, pattern-building through repetition, and riding in groups that prioritise predictability over chaos. Plus, practical drills to build precision, trust your bike's stability, and turn nervous survival into calm, quiet confidence.Go to https://www.skool.com/roadman/about to sign up to our FREE community! I used to think being “attached” meant being committed. But what I've learned through business, faith, and some pretty brutal pivots is that attachment is often the very thing slowing us down. In this episode, Chris and I break down why detachment (or as I used to call it, “unattachment”) is one of the most powerful skills you can build as a high performer. We talk about 4 four places of detachment and the lessons I learned from releasing the need to be seen. The fastest growth comes when you release control over how things unfold, who gets the credit, what it looks like to others, and when it all happens. If you are in a season where you feel like your business is on fire, and you cannot tell if it is actually on fire or if you are just mentally setting it on fire because you are stressed, this episode is for you. Because I said something on an Open Office Hour call recently that I want to tattoo on the inside of every entrepreneur's eyelids. When I do not have clarity on what is actually happening in my business, my default is: everything is wrong. Everything is broken. Everything is failing. Everything is about to fall apart. And then my brain does what brains do, it starts trying to solve 17 problems at once, and I spiral, and I feel heavy, and I feel panicky, and then I start making dumb decisions from that energy. So today, I want to give you a simple framework that will stop that spiral fast. Not in a fluffy, "just journal and breathe" way. In a CEO way. In a "give me the truth so I can take action" way. Time Stamps: (0:30) Actual Fire vs Emotional Fire (2:31) Open Your Tracker (3:28) What Spiraling Really Means (15:50) Don't Discount Out Of Fear ----------
What actually separates a professional guide from a good hunter?Cliff and Jay Scott break down how real experience changes judgment. Calm under pressure, controlling variables, and why most missed shots are process failures. Not shooter failures. The Tricer micro-panning device we discuss at the end of the video, Use CLIFFG for 10% off: https://tricer.com/products/tricer-360From there, the discussion moves into distance, animal awareness, and the concept of the “bubble.” Cliff and Jay explain why getting closer is not always better, especially for wary species like Coues deer. Staying outside an animal's awareness buys time, reduces mistakes, and creates higher-probability shots. This is not about extreme distance. It is about efficiency and control. The back half of the episode shifts into gear and optics. They break down real use cases for image-stabilized binoculars and spotting scopes, where they help, where they don't, and why tripods are not going anywhere. The conversation stays grounded in actual field application, not marketing claims. The episode closes on perspective. In this episode of the Expert Speaker Podcast, I sit down with Josh Terry — a creator, coach, and thinker known for saying sharp things in very few words. We unpack why so many smart, capable people stay stuck, and how real momentum often comes from doing less, not more. Josh shares the counterintuitive idea that trying to fix your weaknesses might actually be holding you back — in business, creativity, and leadership. We talk about mastery, creative freedom, productivity, and why operating well within your strengths creates far better results than constantly pushing at the edge of your abilities . Key Takeaways Give up on what you're bad at Growth accelerates when you stop forcing yourself to improve weaknesses that drain you and instead build around what already works. Mastery comes from ease, not struggle People don't want what you can barely deliver. Mastery is built by repeatedly doing what's well within your competence — and letting that competence expand naturally. Your strengths are often invisible to you Many of our strongest capabilities formed early in life, which makes them feel "normal" and easy to overlook — even though they're where our greatest leverage lives. Stop copying the "right way" to create Josh explains how abandoning standard advice (eye contact, memorization, perfect delivery) led to his biggest breakthroughs and viral growth. Productivity isn't about pressure Some people thrive under pressure. Others shut down. Understanding whether you respond better to pressure or space can radically change how you work. Eliminate infinite time sinks Endless distractions (scrolling, gaming, mindless consumption) kill momentum. Replacing them with finite breaks helps you return to focused work faster. Notable Quotes "Nobody wants what you can just barely deliver." "Mastery comes from repeatedly doing something that is well within your competence." "We're not supposed to make our weaknesses our day job." "If you stop trying to look like who you're not, you can finally create something real." Action Steps Make a list of what drains you vs. what feels easy and effective — and ruthlessly reduce the former Identify one strength you've dismissed as "too obvious" and lean into it this week Replace infinite distractions with finite breaks (walks, stretching, sitting quietly) Ask yourself: What could I create if I stopped trying to fix myself first? Listen If You Are A founder, creator, or leader feeling stuck despite working hard Someone overwhelmed by "do more, be better" advice A creative who wants to find their real voice Looking for a smarter, calmer way to grow without burning out

In this episode, I challenge one of the most common personal development habits—affirmations—and introduce a far more powerful alternative. If confidence feels inconsistent… if discipline fades when motivation disappears… and if you know what to do but still struggle to execute, this conversation is for you. We explore why asking better questions—specifically yes-or-no "Will you?" questions—creates faster, more sustainable behavior change than statements, goals, or affirmations ever could. Drawing on decades of behavioral research, identity psychology, and real-world golf and life examples, I break down how questions engage your subconscious, eliminate excuses, and leverage cognitive dissonance to pull you into action—especially when you don't feel like it. In this episode, you'll learn: Why affirmations often fail to create lasting behavior change How asking "Will you?" activates confidence and ownership The psychology behind cognitive dissonance—and how to use it Why yes/no questions eliminate excuses and justifications How identity-based questions reinforce discipline under pressure The subtle but critical difference between can I and will I How to use questions to execute when motivation is gone This is a tactical yet deeply transformational episode designed to help you strengthen discipline, upgrade your self-talk, and accelerate becoming the version of yourself required to achieve your biggest goals—on the course and in life. Questions engage your brain more powerfully than statements or affirmations. "Will you?" implies ownership, commitment, and action—not possibility. Yes/no questions remove the mental loopholes that fuel excuses. Cognitive dissonance pushes behavior to align with identity. Discipline is strengthened when actions answer questions—not feelings. Asking better questions accelerates becoming who you want to be. Key Quotes: "Confidence is intoxicating—and one of its strongest predictors is how you talk to yourself." "Questions engage you; statements let you hide." "When you ask 'Will you?' there's no room for excuses—only action." "Cognitive dissonance is the discomfort that pulls you toward who you want to become." "Discipline is doing what needs to be done when you don't feel like it." "Your actions don't follow motivation—they follow identity." "The answer to who you'll become lies in the question 'Will you?'" In this episode of Admissions Straight Talk, Dr. Valerie Wherley welcomes Dr. Glenn Cummings, associate dean and director of health professions advising at Bryn Mawr, for an in-depth look at one of the nation's oldest and most respected career-changer post-bac pathways. Dr. Cummings explains the distinctive mission and history of the Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program – founded in 1972 at Bryn Mawr College – and clarifies what truly defines a “career changer” in the post-bac world. He walks listeners through the program's rigorous 12-month curriculum – including the accelerated summer chemistry sequence and the full-time fall and spring science load – while also outlining how Bryn Mawr supports students through intensive academic advising, structured MCAT preparation, and opportunities for clinical volunteering, research, and service. Dr. Cummings also highlights the program's unique advantages, such as its extensive network of medical school linkage partnerships, its individualized W.I.S.E. advising model, and its robust alumni mentoring system. In addition, he discusses what the admissions committee looks for in competitive applicants: strong academic performance, demonstrated motivation for medicine, a history of service, and the maturity to thrive in a tight-knit, collaborative cohort. Whether you're a true career changer, a recent graduate ready to pivot toward medicine, or simply exploring structured post-bac options, this episode offers valuable insights into how Bryn Mawr prepares students not only for the application process but also for success in medical school and beyond. 00:00 Introduction and Guest Welcome00:35 History of the Bryn Mawr Postbac Premed Program01:47 Defining a Career Changer vs. Academic Enhancer02:08 Who the Program Is Designed For05:05 Curriculum Overview and 12-Month Structure07:19 Unique Features of the Bryn Mawr Postbac07:25 Medical School Linkage Programs09:45 W.I.S.E. In this solo episode of the Everyday Business Problems podcast, Dave Crysler breaks down a lesson most leaders learn the hard way, going too fast often creates more problems than it solves. Using real examples from client work, technology initiatives, and even a home renovation gone wrong, Dave explains why rushing decisions, skipping steps, and chasing efficiency too early leads to rework, frustration, and stalled results. This episode challenges the instinct to "just move faster" and reframes what it really means to build momentum, align teams, and create lasting impact. In this episode of the Federal Help Center Podcast, Eric Coffie breaks down one of the most dangerous mistakes contractors make when bidding on government work: overpromising what they can't realistically deliver. From unrealistic response times and staffing promises to inflated delivery schedules and "state-of-the-art" claims that don't yet exist, Eric explains how desperation to win can quietly sabotage performance after award. He also unpacks how this behavior raises red flags for evaluators—especially in Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) procurements—where honesty and compliance matter far more than flashy narratives. The conversation also dives into a second critical issue: misunderstanding the evaluation method. Eric explains why contractors often waste time and money submitting bloated, over-engineered proposals for LPTA contracts—only to lose to a lean, compliant bid with a lower price. If you want to protect your reputation, avoid performance failures, and bid smarter, this episode is a must-listen. Key Takeaways Overpromising creates performance risk — Unrealistic staffing, response times, or delivery schedules can lead to COR issues, contract discrepancies, or termination for default. Honesty beats hype in LPTA bids — Inflated claims don't earn extra credit; evaluators only care if you meet requirements at the lowest acceptable price. Match your proposal to the evaluation method — In LPTA, "acceptable is acceptable." A shorter compliant proposal will beat a bloated one every time if the price is lower. I share thoughts on hiring, investing, avoiding micro mistakes, and how to scale your business while still maximizing for joy. We also talk about money, happiness, and entitlement — and what real success looks like beyond just profit.
