In this episode, Joe Crane sits down with Dr. Sharon R. Elefant, Founder and CEO of The Nonprofit Plug, to discuss the critical intersection of military service and nonprofit entrepreneurship. Drawing from her deep roots in the veteran community—including her work with the VA health system and AMVETS—Dr. Sharon addresses the common "red tape" and business gaps that often hinder mission-driven leaders. She highlights the necessity of viewing a nonprofit as a "business with a cause," emphasizing that sustainability requires a clear revenue model and a narrowly defined problem to solve. From exploring the benefits of fiscal sponsorship to implementing efficient infrastructure, Dr. Sharon provides a professional roadmap for veterans looking to transition from a passion for service to a high-impact, scalable organization. Episode Resources: https://thenonprofitplug.com/ About Our Guest Dr. Sharon R. Elefant is a nationally recognized nonprofit strategist, educator, and community advocate, serving as the Founder and CEO of The Nonprofit Plug LLC and The NonprofitPlug Foundation Inc. With over a decade of experience in nonprofit leadership, compliance, financial management, grant writing, and capacity building, she has supported the formation and sustainability of hundreds of nonprofit organizations across the country. Dr. Sharon has helped nonprofits collectively secure over $15 million in funding, manage millions in assets, and transition founders into paid executive leadership roles. Her work centers on demystifying the nonprofit ecosystem, grant readiness, fiscal sponsorship, donor cultivation, and compliance, so mission-driven leaders can focus on impact without burnout. In addition to consulting, Dr. Sharon is a professor of business administration, a frequent speaker, and a trusted advisor to grassroots and scaling organizations alike. Her approach blends strategy, transparency, and real-world application, making her a sought-after guest for podcasts focused on social impact, leadership, entrepreneurship, and nonprofit growth. This episode of Unlocked is one I didn't know I needed. Contemporary Christian singer-songwriter Matthew West joins me and what starts with laughing about The Masked Singer somehow turns into one of the most honest conversations about faith, shame, marriage, and what it actually looks like to live what you preach. We talk about growing up with pressure around faith, feeling like all eyes are on you, and the danger of becoming performative instead of personal. Matthew opens up about being better at talking about God than talking to Him. That one hit me. We talk about grace, about shame, about how easy it is to remember our worst mistakes and forget that God doesn't keep score the way we do.We also get into marriage in today's world, breaking generational cycles, apologizing to your kids when you mess up, and why humility might be one of the most powerful things a parent can model. There's something really beautiful about hearing a man talk about choosing his wife every day and putting faith at the center of his home.If you've ever questioned where God is in the middle of your hardest seasons… if you've wrestled with shame… if you're trying to build something healthy after coming from dysfunction… this conversation is for you. And yes, we also talk about his unreleased song that might just save a few marriages.LET'S BE SOCIAL:Follow Savannah Chrisley:Insta: (https://www.instagram.com/SavannahChrisley)TikTok: (https://www.tiktok.com/@SavannahChrisley)X: (https://www.x.com/_itssavannah_)Follow Matthew West:Insta: (https://www.instagram.com/matthewjwest/)TikTok: (https://www.tiktok.com/@matthewjwest)X: (https://x.com/matthew_west)YouTube: (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCs7x1ETqOho69bBQqHCJx7A)Website: (https://www.matthewwest.com/)Follow The Unlocked Podcast:Insta: (https://www.instagram.com/UnlockedWithSavannah)TikTok: (https://www.tiktok.com/@UnlockedWithSav)About Matthew West:Dubbed “one of Christian music's most prolific singer-songwriters” (Billboard), Matthew West has notched 38 No.1 songs combined as an artist and songwriter and has been awarded RIAA Gold and Platinum certifications. Amazon may be testing a major review change, with some shoppers seeing only 10 reviews unless they apply for more. Amazon clarifies its multiple account policy. Plus, it's Episode 500 of the AM/PM Podcast! We're back with another episode of the Weekly Buzz with Helium 10's VP of Education and Strategy, Bradley Sutton. Every week, we cover the latest breaking news in the Amazon, TikTok Shop, Walmart, and E-commerce space, talk about Helium 10's newest features, and provide a training tip for the week for serious sellers of any level. In this episode, we're switching things up with a fresh new look, and it's the perfect time because this is Episode 500 of the AM/PM Podcast! Join us for a quick trip down memory lane as we celebrate nearly 10 years of the AM/PM Podcast and keep Manny Coats' classic “How cool is that? Pretty cool, I think.” spirit alive. Amazon reviews might be acting weird again, and it could be more than just the usual “dog page” error some shoppers have seen for months. In this week's first story, Bradley shares a new test showing up on certain customer accounts where you can only view 10 reviews and then have to “apply” to see more, with Amazon promising an email response within five business days. If this expands, it could push more shoppers toward Rufus-style review summaries rather than reading reviews directly, and it could significantly impact how sellers and tools analyze review data. Especially after Amazon's crackdown that removed Helium 10's Review Insights. The good news: the Helium 10 team is working on a new, fully “Amazon-compliant” version that still provides high-quality review insights, and Bradley asks viewers to share in the comments if they're seeing the same review limits and whether they think it could roll out more widely. In this episode of JCO Article Insights, host Dr. Melis Canturk summarizes the article, "Atezolizumab With Bevacizumab and Nonplatinum Chemotherapy for Recurrent Ovarian Cancer: Final Results From the Placebo-Controlled AGO-OVAR 2.29/ENGOT-ov34 Phase III Trial," by Harter et al. TRANSCRIPT Melis Canturk: Hello, and welcome to the JCO Article Insight. I'm your host, Melis Canturk, and today we will be discussing the JCO article, "Atezolizumab With Bevacizumab and Nonplatinum Chemotherapy for Recurrent Ovarian Cancer: Final Results From the Placebo-Controlled AGO-OVAR 2.29/ENGOT-ov34 Phase III Trial." While integrating immune checkpoint inhibitors has revolutionized the treatment of various gynecologic cancers, these agents have historically shown limited single agent activity in ovarian cancer. Despite a strong biological rationale for combining immunotherapy with chemotherapy and bevacizumab to enhance T-cell infiltration and normalized tumor vasculature, several phase III trials have failed to demonstrate a significant survival benefit in this setting. The AGO-OVAR 2.29/ENGOT-ov34 trial was launched to definitely evaluate whether adding the PD-L1 inhibitor atezolizumab to this combination could improve long-term outcomes for patients experiencing early relapse. This international, double-blind, randomized phase III trial enrolled 574 patients with epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or peritoneal cancer. Eligible participants had to be in their first or second relapse within 6 months of completing platinum therapy or in their third relapse regardless of the treatment-free interval. All patients received bevacizumab and an investigator selected chemotherapy backbone, either paclitaxel or doxorubicin. They were randomly assigned to receive either 840 mg of atezolizumab or a placebo every 2 weeks until disease progression or for a maximum of 2 years. The study population was an all-comer group, though patients were stratified by their PD-L1 status, previous bevacizumab use, and the number of prior treatment lines. The trial did not meet its primary end points, as the addition of atezolizumab failed to significantly improve overall survival or progression-free survival in the intention-to-treat population. For the primary end point of overall survival, the median was 14.2 months with atezolizumab compared to 13 months with the placebo. Progression-free survival was similarly insignificant, with a median of 6.4 months in the experimental arm versus 6.7 months in the control arm. Furthermore, the objective response rates were nearly identical between the groups, recorded at 40% for atezolizumab and 44% for the placebo. Interestingly, exploratory subgroup analyses revealed potential signals of benefit in specific populations, even though the overall trial was negative. Patients who had been previously treated with bevacizumab appeared to derive a greater benefit from the addition of atezolizumab than those who were bevacizumab-naïve. Additionally, outcomes seemed more favorable for patients receiving a paclitaxel chemotherapy backbone compared to those receiving doxorubicin. However, PD-L1 status did not appear to be a predictive marker for success, as hazard ratios for survival were similar regardless of whether the tumor was PD-L1 positive or negative. The safety profile of the triple combination was consistent with the known toxicities of the individual drugs. Grade 3 or higher adverse events occurred in 73% of the atezolizumab group and 70% of the placebo group. While the experimental arm saw higher incidences of immune-mediated events, such as thyroid-related issues, these were generally manageable. Serious adverse events were more frequent in the atezolizumab arm than in the placebo arm, but discontinuation rates due to toxicity were relatively low and comparable between the two groups. In conclusion, the AGO-OVAR 2.29 trial confirms that adding atezolizumab to bevacizumab and nonplatinum chemotherapy does not provide a statistically significant survival advantage for patients who receive nonplatinum chemotherapy for recurrent ovarian cancer. This study contributes to the growing body of evidence showing that immune checkpoint inhibitors have yet to find a definitive role in the standard treatment of recurrent ovarian cancer. Future research will likely focus on more sophisticated molecular stratification and the use of novel agents, such as bispecific antibodies, to overcome the challenging tumor microenvironment of low-grade serous ovarian cancer. Today's episode breaks down Christian Briggs' Part Four of his policy paper, "China's Strategic Assault on Dollar Hegemony Through Banking Infrastructure, Critical Mineral Dominance, and the Architecture of De-Dollarization - Part 4". Christian pulls back the curtain on what may be the biggest monetary shift since 1974—and it's happening right now. Forget headlines about tariffs and trade deals. This episode argues Washington is quietly constructing a “Mineral-Dollar” system designed to defend the U.S. dollar against BRICS, yuan oil trades, and China's gold accumulation strategy. The thesis is explosive: the dollar isn't being replaced—it's being fortified. If the petrodollar weakens, America wants a second anchor already in place. That second pillar? Critical minerals. Rare earths. Lithium. Silver. Platinum. Cobalt. And eventually—gold.Through Project Vault, Section 232 tariff authority, and the launch of the Forge mineral trade bloc, the U.S. is building a multilateral pricing regime that could lock 30–50 nations into dollar-denominated mineral trade. Instead of oil forcing global dollar demand, it becomes batteries, semiconductors, AI infrastructure, and defense metals doing the job. The strategy mirrors Nixon and Kissinger's 1974 petrodollar architecture—but adapted for the Silicon Age.And then comes the bombshell: gold's exclusion from the 2025 critical minerals list wasn't a mistake. It was sequencing. Gold doesn't meet the technical “supply disruption” criteria—but it has already been quietly folded into executive orders expanding the definition of strategic minerals. If gold is formally added, it opens the door to government-set reference pricing and—most controversially—revaluing Fort Knox's 8,133 tons of gold from $42.22 per ounce to market value. That move would instantly unlock over $1 trillion in unrealized federal assets. The episode outlines a five-phase roadmap: lock in the mineral bloc, enforce tariff-backed price floors, expand processing capacity, integrate gold into the framework, and complete the mineral-dollar nexus by 2030. It also warns of accelerants that could compress the timeline—Chinese export embargoes, BRICS gold-backed settlement announcements, or a dollar confidence crisis.China won't sit idle. The podcast details how Beijing could respond with rare earth embargoes, yuan-denominated mineral trade, or accelerating gold purchases. But here's the twist: if the West aggregates its reserves, it may still control more gold—and more infrastructure—than China. The final message is clear: this isn't just trade policy. It's monetary warfare. The mineral dollar system is either America's next 50-year foundation—or the battlefield where the next financial order is decided. The only question left: who moves first?
Produced by Joseph Cottrell, Wayne Hall, Ken Fuller and Jeffrey Crecelius This week we were delighted to welcome Yes drummer Jay Schellen back on the YMP. Just like last time, we had a lovely conversation and Jay shared his thoughts about the forthcoming UK and European Fragile Tour as well as the new Yes album that is now being prepared for release in July (hopefully). It's clear from our interview that Jay is totally committed to the future development of the band and believes that the new album will be warmly received. We look forward to that, of course. What unexpected item does Jay take with him on tour? How does his kit differ from Alan White's Has Jay been more involved in the writing of the forthcoming album than his previous Yes records? Do let us know your thoughts in the comments below. Drama and Fragile Live - last time! YES - FRAGILE UK TOUR 2026 YES Receive Stunning Reviews from USA leg of their FRAGILE tour, which they bring to the UK in April and May 2026. “Yes, quite possibly the most important Prog Rock originators and granddaddies of the genre, delivered deep cuts and their groundbreaking classic album, “Fragile,” in its glorious, delightfully indulgent, layered, and ambitious grandiosity tonight.” Sonic Nation, 11/10/25 “Prog-rock stalwarts Yes took the stage...bringing new energy to their classic sound.” --Danielle Modica, NYS Music, 10/9/25 “Truly prog rock at its finest, if I do say so myself. They've still got the groove, the intensity, and the mythicality that established them as such a unique act over 50 years ago.” Rock DNA Magazine - 5 stars – 5/10/25 Progressive Rock legends, YES, recently returned from the USA where they performed 31 shows on their Fragile Tour across the country. They hit the road in the UK once more for a 9-date trek across the country starting on 22nd April at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow and ending with a two-night run at the prestigious Palladium in London on 3rd and 4th May. The tour will see YES performing their 1971 classic album, ‘Fragile', in its entirety, including such timeless songs as ‘Heart of the Sunrise', ‘South Side of the Sky' and the much loved ‘Roundabout' as well as a selection of songs from right across their illustrious catalogue from their legendary 70`s releases right up to their current album, ‘Mirror To the Sky.' ‘Fragile' was the fourth album by YES cracking the Top 10 in the UK in 1971 achieving Platinum status along the way and was the first to feature keyboardist Rick Wakeman. The single, ‘Roundabout' was a Top 20 hit in the States with the album breaking into the Top 5 on the Billboard chart receiving a Double Platinum certification in the process. Steve Howe: “After The Yes Album, everything seemed to align. With Eddie Offord co-producing, and each of us contributing solo pieces, Fragile became a bold statement of creativity. It was Bill Bruford's idea to include individual showcases—it was a bit oddball, but it captured the spirit of the time.” Each show will feature a gallery of work by esteemed artist, Roger Dean, whose paintings have graced the covers of many of YES albums over the years. ‘Fragile' was the first YES album to feature Dean`s iconic artwork. The current line-up of YES features Steve Howe, whose association with Yes began in 1970, along with Geoff Downes, a member of the 1980 ‘Drama' era line-up. Jon Davison has been lead vocalist in Yes since 2012 while bassist, Billy Sherwood, who was hand-picked by original bassist Chris Squire, has been involved with YES since 1990`s. Jay Schellen, who worked closely with Alan White on drums, completes the line-up. Steve Howe: “We're all looking forward to the UK dates and will be presenting an intriguing first set then all of ‘Fragile', in its entirety then a slight diversion before our usual final encore. Building a sustainable voiceover career in 2026 requires more than great performance—it means understanding how agencies submit talent, how online casting has evolved, and how discoverability now works in an increasingly digital and AI-influenced landscape. Today's voice actors need clarity, adaptability, and a strategy grounded in how the industry actually operates. In this episode of VO BOSS, Anne Ganguzza and J. Michael Collins sit down for a candid conversation about modern voiceover career strategy. Together, they explore how submissions are filtered behind the scenes, why becoming a trusted, go-to talent matters more than constant chasing, and how marketing, SEO, and emerging AI search tools now play a role in being found. This episode offers practical, experience-based insight into building a career that's positioned for long-term success. Chapter Summaries: The Entrepreneurial "Happy Accident" (04:14) JMC reflects on a 30-year career built on "happy accidents" and flying by the seat of his pants. He emphasizes that a successful voiceover career strategy requires constant evolution. He discusses his "full circle" journey—starting in traditional studios, becoming a pioneer of online casting, and returning to a heavy focus on agency and broadcast work. Legwork and the "100 Touches" Rule (09:56) The hosts discuss the significant increase in effort required for modern talent. JMC suggests that the old standard of 20 daily marketing "touches" is obsolete; today, a competitive voiceover business requires closer to 100 touches a day (auditions + direct marketing) to maintain a tough climb in a saturated market. Demystifying the Agency World (09:29) JMC addresses a common misconception: agents are not scary gatekeepers; they work for you. He breaks down how agency submissions really work—where hundreds of voiceover auditions may be received for a single role, but only a small, carefully selected group is ever sent to the client. For voice actors, success comes from shifting the focus away from constant outreach and toward becoming a trusted, go-to talent within an agency's roster. The New Frontier: LLM Search and SEO (21:07) Anne and JMC dive into the "New SEO." Beyond traditional Google rankings, talent must now optimize for AI chatbots like ChatGPT and Claude. JMC reveals he is booking multiple jobs per week from clients who found him by asking an AI bot for recommendations. This requires a comprehensive digital footprint that AI models can crawl and trust. Longevity and the "Five-Figure Wall" (16:04) JMC offers blunt advice for newer talent: getting to those first $20,000–$30,000 in annual revenue is the hardest part of the job. Once you hit that low five-figure traction, scaling to six figures is often a faster process because you have already developed the resilience and technical skills needed to survive rejection. The Immersion Strategy: VO Conferences (32:39) As the producer of VO Atlanta, One Voice USA, and his signature Euro Retreats, JMC explains why live events are the ultimate "Super Bowl" for career growth. He discusses the difference between intimate retreats (EuroVO) and massive immersion events, emphasizing that the relationships and "lifelong families" built at these conferences are often more valuable than the sessions themselves. Top 10 Takeaways for Voice Actors: Embrace the Hustle: Aim for 100 marketing touches or auditions daily to stay ahead of the competition. Optimize for Chatbots: Ensure your website content is detailed and clear so LLMs like ChatGPT can index you for specific genre recommendations. Agents are Partners: Treat agents as people who work for you; focus on becoming the "easy choice" that they prioritize for shortlists. Traditional SEO Still Matters: Being on Page 1 or 2 of Google provides "walk-in business" that allows you to stop constant chasing. Focus on High-Tier Portals: If using pay-to-plays, aim for top-tier memberships (like 123 Platinum) to bypass the saturation of lower tiers. LinkedIn is the Pro Choice: Focus your social media marketing on LinkedIn, where professional grade buyers live, rather than consumer-heavy sites like Facebook. Persist Past the First $30k: Realize that the first five-figure stretch is the most difficult; the snowball effect happens once you establish a baseline. Demos are Still Non-Negotiable: You cannot get agency representation or high-end direct work without an award-winning, professional demo. Invest in Live Connection: Attend conferences like VO Atlanta or One Voice to build the "community family" that sustains a long-term career. Do It Your Way: Forge your own path by blending old-school agency work with new-school direct marketing and SEO strategy.

Warmest of Welcomes everybody This month on the Mooglecast; Zac and Max are joined by the controversial one, big skrilly willy Skrillus to talk about some of the crews backlog plans (Pre State of Play) for the year. Max has had the Splinter Cell PS2 trilogy installed on his PS3 since 2013, will this finally be the year he plays them? Will Skrillus finally earn the last trophy for Blasphemous? Will Zac continue to to chip away at one of trophy huntings most prestigious series completions? During the preshow we catch up on some of the latest platinums earned by the discord community in Platinum shoutouts. Cactuar VS Tonberry returns with a new entry where Skrillus comes out swinging. And as per usual the boys discuss what they've been playing! This is a meaty episode so grab a beer and stick on a podcast game. Next month is the return of Mini Topics Vol 3. But until then, be excellent to eachother. Max

Send a textMike Romance has spent nearly two decades operating at the intersection of manufacturing engineering, automation, validation, and operations leadership within the life-sciences ecosystem. His career spans startups and established organizations alike, with hands-on experience taking products from early development through GMP-ready, high-volume production. Across roles in process development, automation, quality systems, and manufacturing strategy, Mike has built a reputation for combining technical rigor with pragmatic execution. Most recently at Quantum-Si, Mike played a central role in scaling operations to support the commercialization of the Platinum protein sequencing platform while laying the groundwork for next-generation technologies like the Proteus platform. Working within a lean and highly agile leadership team, he helped establish scalable manufacturing foundations spanning CM-managed instrument supply, internal reagent kit production, and advanced silicon-based consumables—while navigating the realities of fast-moving product roadmaps and constrained resources.Earlier in his career, Mike held engineering and leadership roles at organizations including Illumina, Dexcom, GenMark Diagnostics, Truvian, and Encodia. Along the way, he's led pilot-line development, automation strategy, equipment qualification, validation programs, and process controls—often in environments where the path forward wasn't clearly defined. What sets Mike apart is not just his command of acronyms—GAMP, CQV, QbD, DFSS, FMEA—but his philosophy that systems only work when people do. He actively practices emotionally intelligent leadership, prioritizing trust, clarity, and psychological safety while still holding teams to high technical and operational standards. As Mike explores his next chapter, this conversation focuses on the lessons he's learned building resilient manufacturing systems—and the kind of organizations where he believes he can make the biggest impact next.LINKS:Guest LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/mikeromance/Aaron Moncur, host The Wave is a place for engineers to actively learn, share ideas, and engage with people doing similar work. Stijn Schmitz welcomes William Rhind to the show. William is the Founder and CEO of GraniteShares. Rhind provides insights into the current market landscape, emphasizing the early stages of AI development and the potential for significant transformation across various sectors. Regarding market volatility, Rhind attributes recent fluctuations to multiple factors, including potential Federal Reserve leadership changes, cryptocurrency market movements, and concerns about AI’s impact on software companies. He argues that we are in the early stages of AI development, with significant potential for innovation and disruption across industries. Rhind highlights the ongoing bull market for hard assets, driven by global economic uncertainties, central bank buying, and concerns about currency debasement. He notes that emerging market central banks are actively diversifying their reserves by purchasing gold, viewing it as a strategic hedge against paper currencies. Platinum receives special attention, with Rhind explaining its unique market dynamics. He points out that platinum is about 30 times rarer than gold and currently sits in a market deficit. The metal’s future looks promising, particularly as previous bearish sentiment around internal combustion engines has dissipated and industrial demand remains strong. Rhind suggests that while passive investing has benefits, too much concentration can potentially create market inefficiencies. He advocates for a “core and satellite” approach to investing, balancing long-term retirement strategies with more speculative investments. As a 18-year veteran of the ETF industry with experience working at, building and running, well-established successful ETF businesses, he made a keen observation: investing just isn't as exciting as it once was. He asked himself, how do you bring back that excitement? As an experienced entrepreneur, he decided to answer that question by launching his own ETF company – GraniteShares was born. Will's focus on disrupting the financial industry has taken GraniteShares from an idea to a successful start-up garnering the attention of Bain Capital and other well-known ETF investors who support his passion to create products that will change the way people see investing. Will spends his time outside of GraniteShares with his wife and three children. He's on the Board of Directors of the Bath University Foundation, has a passion for classic cars, Manchester United, and travel – especially back to his roots in Aberdeen, Scotland, “The Granite City.” Will has over 25 years of experience in the industry.
