Last week was Thanksgiving week, so yes, I talk about that. But beforehand, I discuss Emerson's TV and feature film pitch fest. I share the lessons learned from the experience and also how it's good to see people you know succeeding. We need more recognition and praise of that kind. To that end, I highlight how Jordan VanDina, who I went to school with, is creating content and honing his craft while making a name for himself via Weekend Scripts (http://weekendscripts.com/). As far as my stuff goes, I go into the need to sometimes unplug and just do what's needed vs what's on the wish list. So, last week I only focused on unwinding and working on In Search of Sunrise, the next feature film I want to make. Tied in with that, I had to get creative based on a problem that came up. See, the undertaking of this movie is a risky business. But it's only risky at the start. Once you break things down into bite sized problems and look for solutions, it becomes less risky. So listen and afterwards, please feel free to ask questions or offer opinions of your own, whether down in the comment section or by hitting me up on social media @PhilSvitek. Jordan and I had more in common than I thought. You'll see that we both still love Blink 182, we both write backwards from the title, and we both sold out Tom DeLonge custom stratocaster. Jordan wrote a movie called, "The Binge" that you can see now on Hulu. It stars Vince Vaughn, Skyler Gisondo, Dexter Darden, Eduardo Franco and more. With a very solid debut movie release we talked about his writing process, how he started, how he got 'discovered' (which is a crazy story) and believe it or not... Spielberg. Enjoy this episode all over your face.

Jordan Vandina has been voted one of the funniest people on the planet by 100% of the people polled (us).He has aggressively pursued his goal and desire to be a filmmaker and screenwriter since he was in 3rd grade when we met. His first movie The Binge was picked up by Hulu starring Vince Cauhn and will be release3d this summer. His next movie Cocaine hippos will be shot as soon as filming is allowed and fills the cocaine addicted hopes formerly owned by Pablo Escobar.Resilience and overcoming rejection are central to this success story of a Long Island boy moving to LA and making a one in a million dream come true- because anyone with relentless never ending persistence to not listen to critics always is the one in a million in any endeavor.Check out his Instagram @jordanvandinaThis episode is sponsored by The Phoenix Manifesto ( http://thephoenixmanifesto.com/ ), and Kickstrings ( http://www.kickstrings.com/ ) .If you have any questions that you would like discussed on the podcast, email them to TheEOEPodcast@gmail.com .Subscribe and leave a review!
