We discuss the Roommates podcast with Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart who gave respect to Thibs but didn't add much to the story. They seem like they like him, so it was probably not either of them that badmouthed Thibs to Dolan.
The hour began with continued discussion about Antonio Brown's attempted murder warrant. Attention then shifted to the "Roommates" podcast, where Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart praised Thibs, leading to speculation that they weren't the source of any negative comments to Dolan. C-Lo's update covered the Mets' sixth straight win, a Jeff McNeil homer, and Carlos Mendoza's comments on Kodai Senga's hamstring injury, which Pete Alonso felt bad about. The Yankees beat the Royals 1-0, with Devin Williams securing the ninth. More clips from the "Roommates" podcast on the Knicks' future followed. The segment concluded with Gio recommending "Hunt For Bin Laden" on Netflix.
With Boomer out, Gio and Jerry hosted. They began by discussing Kodai Senga's injury from a bad throw by Pete Alonso, which C-Lo highlighted with a clip of Boomer predicting such an injury. The Mets swept the Nationals, and the Yankees won 1-0 against the Royals. The Oilers defeated the Panthers in an exciting game. They briefly touched on HGTV shows before moving to Chris Kreider's press talking about his move to the Ducks. Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart's "Roommates" podcast praised Thibs. The hour concluded with news of an attempted murder warrant out for Antonio Brown.

The segment concluded with Gio recommending "Hunt For Bin Laden" on Netflix. Hour 3 Gio recounted a 12-year estrangement from a former Pittsburgh colleague who blamed him for his firing. He recently learned, via Ann Liguori at the US Open, that this individual was speaking as if they were still close, prompting Gio to respond graciously. The challenges of working with someone you're not on speaking terms with were discussed. C-Lo's update followed a caller's thoughts on the Netflix submersible documentary. C-Lo then shared his perspective on Chris Kreider's trade to the Ducks. Audio of Carlos Mendoza's heated exchange with an umpire over balls and strikes. There was also a segment detailing BT's "Volpe song," only to reveal that BT had actually taken the lyrics from a caller, which C-Lo's audio confirmed. The hour concluded with a discussion about Rangers fans' relationship with Chris Kreider. Hour 4 Gio proposed four words that, if tweeted, would lead to immediate termination regardless of context. The discussion then shifted to the difficult decision of cashing out on a bet. C-Lo's final update covered Kodai Senga's injury and Carlos Mendoza's comments, along with the Yankees' 1-0 shutout win over the Royals. Aaron Glenn named Ronnie Lott and Boomer Esiason as players he admired. Jameis Winston's potential playing time this year was discussed. The "Moment of the Day" revisited the debate over who truly originated the "Volpe song"—BT or a caller. The show concluded with observations on the shift to Thursday summer traffic and Gio's revelation about Joe Benigno's swimming prowess.
BT & Sal dive headfirst into the Knicks' latest drama, as Josh Hart takes aim at fans for their reaction to Tom Thibodeau's firing. Was it the right move to let Tibbs go? And why is Hart pointing fingers at the fanbase instead of looking within the locker room? BT and Sal dissect the fiery tweet, the internal team rifts, and the baffling coaching search that's making the Knicks a national punchline. It's a no-holds-barred discussion on who's really to blame for the team's current turmoil.
Josh Hart isn't holding back anymore! Recently, after reports came out about Tom Thibodeau's coaching methods, Hart slammed Thibs haters and instead asked them to give the former head coach credit. Once again, this is all coming from new reports on Thibodeau's coaching methods during the season which could have hurt the team... Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down! Continuing the Conversation on Karl-Anthony Towns + Key Knicks Stats during the playoffs I'm back with another one — still talking Karl-Anthony Towns and how his impact continues to shape this series. But we're also diving into some important stats and trends involving Josh Hart, Jalen Brunson, and a few other key Knicks who are stepping up — or struggling — when it matters most. It's a real breakdown of what's going right, what's not, and where the Knicks need to adjust heading into the next matchup.
Munaf Manji and Mackenzie Rivers talk NBA betting for this weekend. The guys also give out best bets. In this episode of RJ Bell's Dream Preview, Munaf Manji and Mackenzie Rivers analyzed the NBA Playoffs, focusing on the Knicks-Pacers Game 6 and Oklahoma City Thunder's Western Conference Finals victory. The Thunder defeated the Timberwolves 124-94 in Game 5 to close the series 4-1. Mackenzie emphasized that OKC's key series win was against the Nuggets, which elevated them from contender to champion-level status. Shea Gilgeous-Alexander's playoff performance was historic: 29.7 points, 6.9 assists, 5.6 rebounds, 47.1% shooting, and only 2.1 turnovers per game. Only Michael Jordan, Nikola Jokic, and LeBron James have posted similar numbers in playoff history. OKC's defense also made history, holding two teams under 10 points in the first quarter within six games, something no team has previously accomplished. Their balanced profile of third in offense and first in defense mirrors the 2015 Warriors. With 61 total wins, the Thunder have surpassed the 2017-18 Warriors for the most 10-point playoff wins ever. Mackenzie argued that betting markets are undervaluing OKC, who entered the Finals as -750 favorites. Shifting to the Eastern Conference, the Knicks won Game 5 against the Pacers 111-94. Jalen Brunson led with 32 points on 12 of 18 shooting, Karl-Anthony Towns added 24 points and 13 rebounds, and Josh Hart contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds in 34 minutes. The Knicks' defense has consistently limited Indiana, holding them under 100 points in both of their series wins. Mackenzie critiqued betting lines that made Indiana 3.5-point favorites for Game 6, arguing the market was reacting to recent outcomes rather than overall team strength. Injuries also factored in, with Pacers defender Aaron Nesmith limited to 16 minutes due to an ankle injury. Pascal Siakam admitted postgame that the Knicks "played harder," signaling New York's edge in effort. Mackenzie highlighted Towns' advantageous matchup against Myles Turner, citing Towns' career average of 28 points per game against him and recommending a prop bet on Towns scoring over 22.5 points. Josh Hart's rebounding was also emphasized, with Hart posting 10 or more rebounds in 14 of his last 16 games against the Pacers when playing at least 30 minutes. His rebounding prop was set at 9.5 rebounds with plus odds, and his double-double was available at +254 odds. Mackenzie revealed his updated player rankings based on playoff performances. Nikola Jokic ranked first at 97.5 out of 100, followed by SGA at 97, Giannis at 96.5, Luka and Steph both at 95.5, with Tatum and Anthony Davis tied at 94. Jalen Brunson and Anthony Edwards both earned a 93 rating, while Tyrese Haliburton was ranked 23rd. Mackenzie argued Haliburton's playoff inconsistency and low scoring frequency kept him outside the top tier. Karl-Anthony Towns was ranked 19th, performing better than Haliburton overall. Ja Morant was downgraded to 26th due to his limited availability, while Sengun led the Rockets contingent. Both hosts discussed the international dominance in today's NBA, with Jokic, SGA, Giannis, Luka, and Wembenyama leading a generational shift. Mackenzie concluded that the Knicks have the momentum and desperation advantage heading into Game 6, predicting they could force a Game 7 at Madison Square Garden. They agreed to record another episode if Game 7 materializes. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

0:00 .... Ross hello and welcome, introduces the panel, and dedicates show #158 to Jack McVeigh of the Houston Rockets who is the only NBA player to wear uniform #58. 1:33 ... Instant reaction to Tuesday night's game #4 of the Knicks/Pacers Eastern Conference Finals playoff series. 2:45 ... Bruce highlights the performances of Tyrese Haliburton, Bennedict Mathurin, and Pascal Siakam who were the biggest reasons Indiana took game #4 and grabbed a 3-1 series lead. 3:53 ... Ross pointed out how it was a game of runs but Indiana never allowed New York to really get close enough to threaten the Pacers. 4:55 ... World B was disgusted with the sloppy play of the Knicks and feels they need to reduce turnovers in game 5 if they hope to extend the series. He is also concerned about the health of Karl-Anthony Towns who hurt his knee in the 4th quarter on Tuesday night. 7:23 ... The crew previews game 5 in New York and discusses if Tom Thibodeau will dial back his rotation as he did in the first two games. 10:17 ... Ross is concerned about how Towns will be perceived by the NY fans if he doesn't play in game 5 due to his knee. Bruce needs Mikal Bridges to show up big in game #5, but World B points out how hard Bridges has to work on defense against Haliburton. 14:38 ... Ross tees up a brief discussion on how Thibodeau expanded his rotation and how Josh Hart nudged him into doing it by offering to come off the bench and allow Mitchell Robinson to start games 3 and 4. 16:00 ... Western Conference Finals discussion as Oklahoma City won Monday's game #4 to put a stranglehold on their series against Minnesota. Bruce felt the tone was set in the first quarter. World B says the series is over now that OKC has a 3-1 series lead and it was impressive how they bounced back from a 42 point loss on Saturday. Ross agrees and praises Jalen Williams of the Thunder for his great performances. Everyone feels the series is over except for the final result. OKC's defense is the decisive factor. 23:25 ... Anthony Edwards needs a great performance in game 5 after scoring just 13 points in game 4. World B feels he is not holding himself accountable. 24:18 ... Ross wants to praise Minnesota's Nickiell Alexander-Walker whose great postseason performances will help him find a team willing to pay him big bucks as a free agent this off-season. 24:50 .... Shai Gilgeous-Alexander beat Nikola Jokic for the MVP Award ... the guys discuss the large margin of victory in the voting and how both players were most deserving of the award. 28:13 ... All-NBA Team discussions ... On the first team the only quibble was Donovan Mitchell making it over Anthony Edwards, Jalen Brunson, and Stephen Curry. 30:33 .... On the second team, the guys discussed LeBron James making it in spite of ESPN's Brian Windhorst not voting him on any of the three All-NBA teams. 33:36 ... On the third team, Bruce bemoaned the fact that Jaylen Brown fell two games short of the 65 game minimum to qualify for All-NBA. Bruce felt he would have made the third team, but sacrificed an individual award in order to be healthier for the playoffs and Bruce is really annoyed at some Celtics fans who are blaming Brown for the team's earlier than expected postseason exit. World B felt Tyler Herro should have made third team over James Harden. Ross pointed out that if not for injury, Victor Wembanyama would also have probably made 2nd or 3rd team All-NBA and probably also won Defensive Player of the Year. 37:08 ... Smokin' Hot Take from World B ... Cade Cunningham will be first team All-NBA next season. This bodes well for the Pistons ascending into the top 4 in the eastern conference next season. 40:10 ... Final Thoughts ... Bruce on how OKC's comeback from a 42 point loss to Minnesota last weekend reminds him of two former NBA Championship teams that had similar experiences 40 seasons ago: the 1984 Celtics and the 1985 Lakers. 41:30 .... World B on how the Knicks loss to Indiana in game one was not the biggest choke in the Knicks history. It was 30 years ago when Reggie Miller made the Knicks the worst chokers in franchise history. Tyrese Haliburton will clearly haunt World B's dreams for many years to come. 46:16 ... Ross on how all the off-season transactions will be very exciting this year. And from that he says goodbye and "see you next week." TRT 46:57

Munaf Manji and Mackenzie Rivers talk NBA playoff betting. The guys also give out best bets. This episode of RJ Bell's Dream Preview: NBA Playoff Edition with Munaf Manji and Mackenzie Rivers provides an in-depth analysis of two critical NBA playoff matchups: Knicks vs. Pacers Game 4 and Thunder vs. Timberwolves Game 5. The conversation opens with a reflection on Game 3, where the Knicks overcame a 20-point deficit to win. This turnaround stemmed from strategic adjustments—starting Mitchell Robinson and bringing Josh Hart off the bench—allowing New York to clamp down on Indiana's offense. Jalen Brunson struggled with foul trouble and inefficiency, contributing just six field goals on 18 attempts and a single assist. Despite his limited impact, the Knicks held Indiana to only 42 second-half points, a stark contrast to the Pacers' usual offensive rhythm. Hart's late-game rebounds and composure at the free-throw line stood out, and Towns' fourth-quarter scoring lifted the team to its first win of the series. Mackenzie discussed RJ Bell's "fourth quarter win share," an advanced stat favoring teams with strong late-game control, suggesting the Knicks had been more dominant across multiple quarters despite their earlier losses. Looking to Game 4, the hosts note the Pacers as 2.5-point home favorites with a 220.5 total. Mackenzie and Munaf favor the Knicks and the under, emphasizing that a defensive-focused Knicks approach correlates strongly with low-scoring games. Brunson's role is expected to shift toward playmaking, reducing his shot volume. His under 29.5 points prop is Mackenzie's best bet, backed by historical splits where he's gone under this line 20 times versus 19 overs. Meanwhile, Towns is averaging over 25 points and 11 rebounds per game in the series and is projected to exceed both point and rebound props. Transitioning to the Thunder-Timberwolves series, OKC leads 3-1. Game 3 saw a dominant Timberwolves blowout, but OKC rebounded in Game 4 behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's 40-point near triple-double and key support from Jalen Williams and the bench. SGA's leadership was pivotal—his late-game assists demonstrated poise under pressure. Mackenzie praised SGA's situational IQ and contrasted it with Anthony Edwards' passive play. Edwards is averaging only 17 FGA per game, the lowest of his postseason career, and scored just 24 PPG despite efficient shooting. Postgame, he deflected criticism, saying he didn't struggle because he didn't take enough shots. Mackenzie critiqued this mindset, calling for Edwards to embrace higher usage when it matters most. With SGA elevating his impact and Edwards retreating, Mackenzie believes the Thunder's edge in leadership and strategy is decisive. In Game 5, OKC is an 8.5-point favorite. Munaf's best bet is the Thunder team total over 114.5, citing strong home scoring trends. SGA's over 6.5 assists is another key angle, supported by three overs in four games and an average of 8.5 APG. The Thunder have shot below their season average from three, suggesting positive regression is likely at home. Mackenzie projects a potential 120–102 OKC win and predicts they'll close the series. The hosts close with futures discussion, noting the NBA's growing parity. The Thunder are +225 favorites for next season, while teams like the Knicks, Pacers, Cavs, and Wolves range from 8/1 to 12/1. Mackenzie emphasizes the historical rarity of such dispersed odds beyond the top team. He speculates Giannis may be traded, naming the Knicks and Rockets as possible destinations. He lauds Sam Presti's roster-building and envisions OKC as a possible dynasty. In conclusion, Munaf and Mackenzie agree the Finals might be lopsided but promise strong betting value through derivatives and props. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The Knicks are known to give up threes, while Boston couldn't capitalize, Indiana did. Game 2 is a must-win for the Knicks. Plus, Larry David cam for the Pacers' fourth quarter comeback!
