This week I had the distinct pleasure chatting with Matt Scottoline of the brilliant band HURRY. Matt's journey through the musical landscape started in another brilliant band EVERYONE EVERYWHERE. Matt took what he learned while playing and writing music with his former band and brought it to a new and exciting place with HURRY. Hurry started as a solo project and has evolved into a great trio of talent curating astounding songs. Matt and I connected on a ton of musical moments and had a great time swapping stories. Join Matt and I as we learn “How To Cope” while we're “Waiting For You” but be careful, “It's Dangerous!”

Dan talks to Matt Scottoline of Philly power-pop masters Hurry about the new record, 'Fake Ideas', the pocketbook that goes with it, album aesthetics, how it's hard to practice guitar when you're a kid, the early days of the Drexel music business program, and how Matt learned that the best way to write a Hurry record was the same ol' way he's written every other Hurry record. 'Fake Ideas' is out now on Lame-O Records, and available everywhere you get music.

Emnosso programa, tocamos as canções "Water on glass" e "Kids in America". No segundo bloco, o lançamento do RoliMan, novo projeto do veteraníssimo cantor, compositor e guitarrista brasiliense Carlos Pinduca, ex-Maskavo Roots e Proto. Fechando o programa a banda Hurry, o projeto musical do americano Matt Scottoline. Spinning Out (another music podcast) We talk to artists about their favorite albums and go on wild tangents. This week's guest is Matt Scottoline, of the Philly band Hurry, also previously of Everyone Everywhere. We chatted about the 1995 Teenage Fanclub album, "Grand Prix," an album I love a lot, but one honestly that I didn't know a ton about. So Matt helps guide me along my power-pop journey. We also discuss a little bit of social media drama between us, and Hurry's amazing new music video. Hurry has a new album, "Fake Ideas," coming out June 25th on Lame-O Records. Slide on your flip flops, Goosebuddies: we're going to Ghost Beach! Dom, Paul, and Chad are joined by the charming Matt Scottoline from the band Hurry (hurrymusic.com) to cover Ghost Beach, an actually scary book, though it sure is a lot of he-said-she-said about who's a ghost. There's so much finger pointing over who's a spectre or not, maybe we're all ghosts, man! Who can say? We can. The boys also talk about what ghosts eat, Dice with Ellen, Rosie O'Donnell's missing bones, and how Paul definitely read the book. Huge thanks and love to our Patreon supporters.
