In this explosive episode, Brian sits down with Eric Palacios of the Hairy Man Road YouTube channel to talk about his Bigfoot research, his documentary work, and the firestorm surrounding the new SXSW documentary Capturing Bigfoot. Eric shares the story behind his Texas Hairy Man Road investigations, his independent documentaries, and the FOIA requests that uncovered 911 calls, photos, and even wildlife-agency records referencing cryptids in places like Louisiana and Arizona. He also breaks down his experience attending the SXSW screening in Austin, meeting director Mark Evansand Clint Patterson, and later taking part in a Q&A tied to the film. The conversation dives deep into the controversy over the Patterson–Gimlin film, including the documentary's emotional focus on Clint Patterson and Patricia Patterson's claims that the PGF was a hoax. Eric also discusses the newly surfaced 40-second 1966 Kodachrome clip connected to a Boeing engineer's family, which he says appears to show the very same “Patty” suit seen in the Patterson–Gimlin film, along with side-by-side comparisons presented in the documentary. We also get into the backlash that followed, including online attacks, threats, and doxxing, as this debate continues to divide the Bigfoot community. In 1960 a young American art student named Patricia Patterson first traveled to Inishmore, largest of the Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland. The windswept landscape and its ancient culture made a deep and lasting impression, as did the relationships she developed during many visits and prolonged stays in the years since. Patterson has continued to draw on her vivid memories of Aran as inspiration for paintings and sketches. Series: "Portrait of the Artist" [Arts and Music] [Show ID: 34756]

As we focus on living a well done life this last quarter of 2017, I realized how we see ourselves often impacts our choices. The quote "To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment" came to mind as I was interviewing 2 guests for this month's podcast. During our interview, Patricia Patterson, my first guest on the topic of self esteem, mentioned this idea of a "self esteem DNA". She explains what she means by that in this episode of the StrongHer podcast. I would love to hear your thoughts over on the blog or leave a comment on the post for this podcast episode on Instagram at @strongherme. Patricia (P.A.) Patterson is an ordained and licensed minister. She is the co-founder (along with her husband, Bill) of Saturation Saturday Ministries with God’s vision to inspirationally and dynamically teach the Word of God in tandem with the move of the Holy Spirit. In this episode: How years of emotional abuse and bullying influenced her choices and decisions as a young woman A simple strategy she learned from counseling for shifting how she viewed herself, her past and her future How to let go of the need to perform for the approval of others, in order to be happy with your life How following God's leadership when it looks nothing like we would expect leads to a brighter self esteem DNA The power of meditating on scripture to uncover your true identity Show Notes: I AM Statements - Downloadable Emotionally Healthy Woman by Geri Scazzero Saturation Saturday Ministries Thanks Living Conference Episode Quotes: Memorialize your victories! - Patricia Patterson What is your self esteem DNA? Join distinguished scholars Robert Polito and Patricia Patterson at D.G. Wills Books as they discuss “Farber on Film: The Complete Film Writings of Manny Farber”, a collection of Farber’s film criticism that spans his early weekly reviews for “The New Republic” and “The Nation” to his later essays (some written in collaboration with his wife, Patricia Patterson). Farber’s unusual and pointed prose was credited by many with reinventing film criticism. Later, he devoted himself to his painting and taught film and art at UC San Diego from 1970 to 1987.
