In this episode of the Sutton Podcast, I am joined once again by Sutton United Women's manager Lucy Clark to look back on a season that saw the club take another significant step forward, and look ahead to what comes next.Lucy reflects on a campaign that delivered a record points tally, a fourth-place finish and a memorable run to the Third Round Proper of the Adobe Women's FA Cup. She shares the stories behind famous victories over Brentford and Dartford, explains why the Chatham defeat still frustrates her, and reveals why this season has given the squad genuine belief they can compete with anyone in the division. The conversation also goes behind the scenes of the women's section. Lucy discusses how the club is strengthening its pathway from the girls' teams through to the newly named Under 23s, why 180 players applied to join Sutton this summer, and how data, recruitment and high standards are helping raise the level across the squad.Away from the pitch, Lucy opens up about the reality of managing at this level, balancing recruitment, coaching, analysis, administration and matchdays, while the players juggle football with work, university and long journeys across the South East. It's a fascinating insight into the commitment required to build a successful women's football programme. Finally, Lucy reveals the club's theme for the new campaign, **Project Promotion**, and explains why she believes Sutton United Women are ready to challenge at the top of the table.Whether you've followed the women's team all season or you're looking to learn more about one of the fastest-growing parts of Sutton United, this is an episode packed with honest reflections, behind-the-scenes stories and plenty of optimism for the future.**Chapters**00:00 Introduction02:15 Reflecting on a season of progression07:45 Record points and beating the champions13:10 The FA Cup journey and Brentford heroics22:40 Learning from disappointment against Chatham29:30 Building belief within the squad35:20 Developing young players and the pathway43:45 Behind the scenes of the women's section51:30 The commitment of players at this level59:20 A full-time job without being full-time1:07:10 Recruitment, 180 trialists and raising standards1:15:40 Project Promotion and ambitions for the new season1:21:00 Final thoughtsIf you enjoy the episode, please like, subscribe and leave a comment. In this episode of "Life, Death, and the Space Between," I engage in a captivating discussion with psychiatrist Dr. Bernard Beitman and Ruslana Markova about meaningful coincidences, or synchronicity. Inspired by Carl Jung, Dr. Bateman explains how these significant events can guide us in life. We explore the differences between synchronicity, serendipity, and surreality, and discuss the psycho sphere—a shared mental space enabling telepathic connections. Through personal stories and clinical insights, we emphasize the importance of recognizing these phenomena in both therapy and daily life.Introduction and Context (00:00:00)** Discussion on Carl Jung (00:04:15)** Importance of Noticing Coincidences (00:05:23)** Defining Coincidences (00:06:21)** Experiential Examples (00:07:23)** Coincidence Definitions (00:08:32)** Patterns of Coincidences (00:12:10)** Clinical Applications (00:15:36)** Psycho Sphere Concept (00:17:51)** Collective Consciousness (00:21:04)** Personal Connection (00:22:39)** Discussion on Family Connections (00:23:07)** Research on Coincidence Probability (00:23:34)** Reception by Medical Community (00:24:40)** Critique of Randomness (00:25:29)** Book and Project Promotion (00:25:54)** Accessing Further Work (00:26:08)** Closing Remarks (00:27:09)** **** SUPPORT DR. Lee Pemberton is an experienced investor & entrepreneur. At a young age Lee became the British Karate Champion and quickly understood the concept of applying his mindset not only in physical way but also in business. By an early age of 19, Lee set up his business by creating his first health club and soon after built his own home at only 21 years old. In 1995, Lee sold his health club and his first home and moved oversea's to Asia where he started another business in consulting whilst studying for his MBA! After 3 years Lee then returned to the UK and set up his first Serviced Accommodation business in the year 2000. Lee then built up a whopping 150 apartments around the UK. However by 2008, Lee had to place the business into voluntary receivership due to banking crisis! Loosing his £5 Million+ property portfolio overnight, Lee put his entrepreneurial spirit into action and started to grind on his serviced accommodation business again to build a sustainable business in property development, rent to rent and property management. Lee believes his knowledge and his network are his biggest asset and he wants to create the following flow : Project - Promotion - Process - People - Profit.
