Former child actor, recovering sorority girl, and now a comedy creator with 300,000+ followers, she's spent years reclaiming an insult and turning private-school-summer-camp-Murray-Hill life into beloved sketches. But the skits are just the surface. Season six opens with a real conversation about the work, the weird, and the deeply human moments that shape both counseling and athletics. If you care about student mental health, grad school life, or the unexpected ethical questions that can change how you practice, this catch-up episode is for you. Dr. Kiener shares what it looks like to step back into the school year with a full slate of classes, practicum students, and cohort energy, while Brayton breaks down the reality of screening NCAA athletes across multiple teams and the pressure, patterns, and caseload demands that come with it.Along the way, the conversation also touches on higher ed shifts, NCAA changes, and the messy intersection of ethics, identity, and performance. It's insightful, funny, and refreshingly honest - the kind of episode that reminds you how much of good counseling starts with asking better questions. Perfect for counselors, counselor educators, students, and anyone who likes their professional conversations grounded in real life instead of theory alone. What does high performance really look like in a world of constant change, rising burnout, and increasing pressure to do more? For years, the dominant formula has been simple: work harder, move faster, and put in more hours. Bestselling author and leadership expert Ty Bennett believes that formula is outdated. In this episode of The Good Leadership Podcast, Ty joins Charles Good to unpack the research behind his new book, Redefining High Performance: Research Backed Insights to Lead Better, Sell More, and Perform Higher.Ty commissioned a national research study to uncover what truly drives high performance and what gets in the way. Two findings stood out: preparation emerged as the number one driver of high performance, while fear of failure emerged as the number one barrier.Ty explains why high performance today depends on preparation, curiosity, adaptability, and the ability to keep learning as the world changes around you.Website: tybennett.comLatest book: Redefining High Performancehttps://tybennett.com/product/redefining-high-performance/Key Takeaways• High performance is built through preparation, curiosity, and adaptability.• Fear of failure is the number one barrier to high performance.• Preparation should include relational preparation, scenario preparation, and team rehearsal.• Reframing failure as a learning opportunity accelerates growth.• The old definition of high performance as simply working harder is obsolete.• Relevance in leadership is a daily practice of learning and adapting.• Successful executives should maintain a “to learn” list alongside their to do list.• Curiosity is a leadership superpower that improves learning and decision-making.• Preparation creates the freedom to adapt and pivot in real time.• Continuous learning and asking better questions are essential to long-term relevance.Memorable Insights“Preparation costs you less than you think.”“High performance is about working deeper, not harder.”“The skill of learning is more important than what you learn.”Chapters00:00 Introduction to Redefining High Performance01:50 The Research Behind High Performance04:20 The Surprising Barrier: Fear of Failure06:19 Preparation as the Key Driver of Success11:39 Redefining High Performance for Today's Leaders14:15 Avoiding Irrelevance as a Successful Executive16:28 The Power of Curiosity and Continuous Learning20:10 Final Takeaways: Building Performance Before the Moment20:38 Closing Remarks and ResourcesSubscribe to The Good Leadership Podcast: [Apple Podcasts] | [Spotify] | [YouTube]LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/charlesagoodSubstack Channel (Outlearn to Outperform): charlesgood.substack.comLinkedIn Newsletter (The Outlearn Advantage): [Subscribe]The Institute for Management Studies

A @Christadelphians Video: [Prophecy being fulfilled!]What an extraordinary week it has been for those watching the mountains of Israel. As we observe the headlines surrounding the E1 settlement plans and the re-establishment of Kadim, we are witnessing something truly thought-provoking unfold before our very eyes. The international outcry from Britain, France, Germany, and Italy over Jewish construction near Jerusalem is yet another remarkable sign that the biblical stage is being set for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. In this outstanding exposition, Bible Scholar Matt Davies guides us through the prophetic significance of these current events, demonstrating how the words of Ezekiel, Zechariah, and Joel are being fulfilled in our generation. The mountains of Israel are once again inhabited by God's people, Jerusalem has become that burdensome stone to the nations, and the division of the land has become the great diplomatic controversy of our age. This is a wonderful and revealing presentation that will strengthen your faith and encourage you to look beyond the immediate political disputes to see God's hand at work in history. The prophecies are not merely ancient words—they are living, breathing revelations that speak directly to our time.Join us as we explore why these settlements matter, what the prophets foretold, and how these events point inexorably toward the soon return of Jesus Christ to establish God's Kingdom upon the earth.**Chapters:**00:00 - Introduction: Settlers on the Mountains of Israel01:00 - The E1 Controversy: International Diplomatic Dispute02:12 - Kadim Re-established: Jewish Pioneers Return04:04 - Bible Prophecy: Setting the Stage04:40 - Ezekiel's Prophecy: The Mountains of Israel Restored07:03 - The Latter Days: Invasion Foretold09:34 - Zechariah's Prophecy: Jerusalem the Burdensome Stone12:05 - Joel's Prophecy: The Nations and the Division of the Land14:38 - The Final Conflict: All Nations Against Jerusalem15:49 - Observing the Signs of the Times17:28 - The Resolution: Christ's Return and God's Kingdom18:26 - Closing Remarks and Call to Action**Bible Verse Category:**

Want to learn how to leave a leadership role without burning bridges? I've learned the hard way that transitioning in ministry isn't just about the "next thing"- it's about how we honor the "now thing." In this episode, Amy and I sit down to get real about the messy, beautiful journey of mentorship and leadership development. We're sharing our own stories of growth, grief, and the lessons we've picked up along the way. If you're searching for a mentor or trying to figure out how to pour into the leaders rising up around you, we made this for you. We're walking through the practical, heart-level steps to honoring your past while stepping boldly into your future. I often think about how every community has its own unique sound. Learning to lead isn't about changing that sound to match yours; it's about learning to honor the harmony that was there before you arrived. I want to help you process the mixed emotions of transition so you can lead with a clear heart. Hashimoto's, thyroid dysfunction, and hormone imbalance — Sophie Shepherd, founder of She Talks Health and host of the She Talks Health Podcast, joins Freddie Kimmel to break down why "balancing your hormones" is usually the wrong starting point. A Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner who works primarily with women navigating Hashimoto's, thyroid issues, and mystery symptoms like fatigue, bloating, anxiety, and brain fog, Sophie shares her own decade-long health story — from unexplained teenage digestive pain to a hypothyroid diagnosis dismissed as "normal labs" — and the path that led her out of theater and into functional medicine. The conversation covers hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA) testing, why mineral balancing (especially copper, zinc, and manganese) can restore fertility and regulate cycles without directly touching hormones, the limits of hormone panels like the Dutch test for irregular cycles, and why chronic stress — emotional, physical, and environmental — is the upstream driver hiding behind most "hormone problems." Sophie and Freddie also get into red light therapy for thyroid inflammation, an honest take on cold plunging for women with Hashimoto's, subconscious rewiring tools like the quantum time technique, and a candid conversation about trust, bio-individuality, and the sponsorship-driven infighting in the health influencer space. What does a biotech CEO who has brought eight orphan drugs to market have in common with a bestselling novelist? In this case, they are the same person. Today's guest is Fredric Price, who writes award-winning fiction as David Hirshberg. His newest novel "Crossing the Bronx" completes a trilogy that began with "My Mother's Son" and continued with "Jacobo's Rainbow." Price is living proof that remarkable lives show up everywhere. He's been a CEO for decades, founded a biotech firm after he thought he had retired, is a book publisher, and only started writing fiction past middle age. In this conversation we talk about why storytelling is the real skill behind both raising millions for a drug and writing a novel, the unforgettable 30-second video he showed the FDA that changed everything, why he uses 1952 and 1955 to talk about 2026, and why he has no desire to write a pharma thriller. This is an episode about second acts, about never actually retiring, and about the idea that the technical details are just the skeleton — story is the muscle, flesh, and eyes.Get your copy of Crossing the Bronx by Fredric PriceAs an Amazon Associate, Now I've Heard Everything may earn a commission from qualifying purchases.Chapters:00:00 Introduction and Guest Background 01:51 Fredric Price's Diverse Career and Passions 05:00 The Skeleton and Flesh of a Good Story 07:41 Using History to Reflect the Present 11:11 Themes of Family and Rivalry in His Novels 13:24 Writing Without Being Handcuffed by History 14:45 Comparison of Satisfaction: Novels vs FDA Approval 16:13 Recognition and Success in Writing and Pharma 17:35 Future Projects and Reinventions 18:47 Closing Remarks and AppreciationGuest InformationFredric PriceWebsite1999 interview with Barry Gibbons For more intriguing and engaging interviews each week, subscribe now on:Spotify Apple Podcasts YouTube

Jeep Talk Show – Tragic Oregon Jeep Discovery, California's Tire Ban (2029/2033), Shopping Cart Roundtable & More Well hey Jeepers, welcome back to another jam-packed episode of the Jeep Talk Show with Tony and Josh. We open on a somber note with the recent discovery of a crashed 2005 red Jeep Wrangler off Highway 6 in Oregon's Tillamook area. Loggers/ODF personnel found the vehicle (linked to a September 2025 missing persons case out of Beaverton) along with skeletal remains believed to be those of Eddie Hair (Hare) and Scott Smith, both in their late 60s. Official identification is pending (dental records/personal effects), but the registration and circumstances point strongly to the two men who never returned from an outdoor/wheeling trip. We discuss the tragic accident angle, the "red Jeep curse" running joke since 2020, and some classic banter about James Dean and why red Jeeps seem to stick in people's memories. Then we dive deep into California's brand-new Replacement Tire Efficiency Program (approved by the CEC in mid-August 2026). Starting with tires manufactured on or after January 1, 2029, replacement passenger and light-truck tires sold in California must meet a maximum rolling resistance of roughly 9.0–9.1 N/kN (with a minimum wet-grip requirement). Phase 2 tightens it further to about 7.1–7.2 N/kN beginning January 1, 2033. Industry estimates suggest this could eliminate ~70% of current tire models from California shelves. Listener voicemails follow (including DR in Utah checking in after a long absence and sharing updates on the Jeep Scrambler/IFS talk plus personal notes, and Nicky G with a string of classic dad jokes). Then it's Round Table time: When (and why) do you put the shopping cart/basket/buggy back? Tony fires off a rant about free labor and shaming stickers; the crew (Glenn, John Lee, Rick, Bob, Travis and others) share honest takes ranging from "always, respect/karma/old-school raising" to "only if it's right next to me—I'm not working for the store." Robots, Walmart in-home delivery, and future trail-side parts robots even make an appearance. We close the "F*CK You, You F*CK" segment with a heated takedown of drivers who come to a near-complete stop to turn into a strip-mall, Burger King, or driveway—white-knuckle, wedding-cake-in-the-trunk style. Pit maneuvers and cow-catcher fantasies ensue. What happens when the business you built becomes too dependent on you to keep growing?Mark Bradley, Founder and Chairman of LeanScaper and author of the newly released The Landscaper's Operating System: Build a Landscape Company That Runs Without You, joins Dwayne Kerrigan for Part Two of a conversation about one of the most important transitions an entrepreneur can make: moving from being the person who runs everything to becoming the leader who builds a company capable of running without them.Mark draws on decades of experience building, scaling, and evolving businesses to break down the disciplines that separate growth from sustainable scale. He shares why strong systems and processes matter, how a CEO's role must change as the company grows, and why the ability to prioritize, protect your time, and develop capable people becomes increasingly critical at every stage. The conversation also gets into Mark's relentless approach to learning — seeking out experts, asking better questions, openly measuring progress, and refusing to let past success become a reason to stop improving. For Mark, better businesses are built by leaders willing to continuously evolve themselves alongside the organization. That philosophy has shaped each chapter of his career. Mark scaled TBG Landscape from a backyard operation into one of North America's Top 100 landscape contractors before co-founding LMN in 2009, creating the business-management software he wished had existed while running his own company.Today, he is continuing that mission through LeanScaper, helping landscape business owners build stronger operations, better teams, greater profitability, and businesses that no longer rely on the owner to solve every problem. His new book, The Landscaper's Operating System, takes that mission even further, distilling decades of hard-earned lessons into a framework for owners who want to step out of the bottleneck and build a company designed to perform beyond them.If you are trying to scale a business, lead at a higher level, or create something that does not require your constant involvement to succeed, this is a conversation worth revisiting. You can access Mark's book here: https://book.leanscaper.com/Time Stamps:[00:00] Introduction[01:24] Preframing the Landscape Industry[02:15] Creating Software for the Landscape Industry[10:22] Asking for Mentorship and Luck[13:53] Mental Shifts in Transitioning to Software[17:40] Overcoming Personal Overwhelm[19:22] Impact of Personal Goals on Business Success[21:57] Journey to Losing 140lbs[24:05] Advice to Younger Self[29:26] Initiating Landscape Management Network (LMN)[37:13] Keys to Business Success[43:00] Innovating Your Business Model[50:50] The Importance of Being Feedback-Oriented[53:25] The Role of Progress in Success[1:01:45] Scaling from 1M to 30M in Revenue[1:11:36] A Day in the Life of a CEO[1:18:00] Thanks and Connecting with Mark Bradley[1:20:08] Closing Remarks and DisclaimerConnect with Dwayne KerriganFacebookInstagramLinked InWebsiteDisclaimer: The views, information, or opinions expressed by guests during The Dwayne Kerrigan Podcast are solely those of the individuals involved and do not necessarily represent those of Dwayne Kerrigan and his affiliates. Get ready to learn from the best of in this business on today's podcast. So with that introduction, welcome to the show, Eric.Eric 00:00:42  Thank you for having me. I appreciate your time.Josh 00:00:44  Every single listener is going to want to hear, like, what are those growth strategies that you implement? Right? What are those the tactical things that you do that help diversify, provide comfort. But I think it's not even just the aspect of diversification. I think it is building a comprehensive brand that private equity truly would be hungry to acquire, right? Because they don't just see you as a fly by night Amazon seller.Josh 00:01:14  You had success on that, but you can't repeat that success anywhere else. so Eric, let's let's dive into those strategies. Somebody comes to you, you know, how do you work them or how do you start to develop that 6 to 24 month, you know, growth strategy? I guess ramp up for them.Eric 00:01:34  Sounds good. Yeah. So the first off, before we do it, we basically have we want to ask the basic questions and we kind of we normally have a little questionnaire that we have that we'll provide in the show notes. But the big question that you always want to kind of do a kind of little self audit. And we need to be able to understand, you know, who you are, who is the target audience? You know, what specifically is their problem or what are they looking for? Like what's their big, you know, when they're looking for your products? Kind of. What is that? What are we think of that is kind of what's the keywords, what's the what's the the symptom or the problem that they're having.Eric 00:02:05  And then with that, also, when it comes to the types of gifts or ways that this product could be used in, if it were to be a, a type of a gift or a, you know, holiday type thing. We put together all the different audiences and we do what we call the keyword research around that. And that's basically using cool tools like, keyword keg. there's also, SEMrush. There's also Google, Keyword Planner, but these are tools that we put it in there. And that basically tells us over the last 12 months what is the search volume and not just what we think we want to offer, but what are all the other things that we never thought of. And from there, we're then able to kind of have a lay of the land of what's the demand? Then we put together what we call the demand growth strategy, which basically is a how do we build our business around where the opportunity is. We don't want to just go buy a whole bunch of products and hope it works.Eric 00:02:56  We actually have to plan for it. And so the way that we do that is, is we understand what's the demand and what how many people are searching for what. And then and that's not just only at what times of the year as well, because you want to know what our seasonal business is. And if you have something that's big and and at Christmas time, well, how do you get busy in the summertime? You know, how do you not have the slow months? And how do you build products in a company around a sustainable growth strategy with that? And so we really kind of look at the seasonal trends. and then lastly, when you look at the keyword research, we're then able to understand what's the average cost per click and, and what the key thing to note is that is that if we were to go say, let's go do this, let's go and put together, a strategy, what is the average cost per acquisition? And those are the things that really allow us to say, hey,...

Both require the right ingredients, the wrong ones will absolutely ruin the experience, and yet most people are just grabbing whatever's cheapest off the shelf with zero regard for the recipe. Turns out formulation matters enormously; pH balance, osmolality, silicone versus water base, parabens, glycerin - these are your bitters, your base spirit, your garnish.Get the ratio wrong and you're looking at irritation, infection, and a night that ends far earlier than planned.
