Age & AttitudeIn this episode I'm talking with Donn Delson, a 76-year-old fine art aerial photographer and nowhere near slowing down. His quote "Reinvention: My Favorite Extreme Sport" already tells us how he lives life to the fullest. I am so impressed with not only his art work, but with him as a person and I know he will inspire you to literally fly towards your dreams regardless of your age. Internationally recognized for his large-scale images shot from doorless helicopters, his work offers a striking new perspective on both manmade and natural landscapes—where familiar forms take on entirely new visual interpretations from above. His latest solo exhibition, The Space Between, pays homage to artists like Rothkoand Mondrian through images shot over colorful freight container ports around the world. Donn's work has been featured in CNN, The Times, and ArchitectureToday, and he's currently writing a book on how retirement can be the most creative chapter of all. Have you ever felt like life is throwing everything at you all at once—and instead of feeling centered, you're spinning out? You're not alone. Whether it's anxiety bubbling up, emotional overwhelm, or fear of the unknown…these moments can feel anything but spiritual. But what if they actually are? This week, we're digging into something that feels more essential than ever: the space where mental health and spirituality meet. What we like to say is Soul Therapy. And we're asking the big questions, like: ✨ How do our spiritual beliefs actually impact our mental well-being? ✨ How can we blend therapy and spiritual practices to navigate anxiety and uncertainty? ✨ The importance of recognizing your emotions, the value of intuition, and the role of soul contracts in personal growth. ✨ And—this might be the biggest one—when life stirs something up, can we see it as an invitation to heal, process, and evolve? To help us explore all of this (and more), we're welcoming back our dear friend and soul sister, Dr. Amy Robbins. Amy is a rare find—she's a clinical psychologist and a spiritual intuitive, which means she sees the full spectrum of what it means to be human and divine. She's also the host of the popular podcast "Life, Death and the Space Between." In this episode, we're talking about what it means to process uncertainty—and how to make that an intentional part of your spiritual journey. From fear to faith, triggers to transformation, Amy helps us explore how the uncomfortable emotions we face can actually become portals to something deeper and more meaningful. You'll walk away with insights and tools to help you feel more grounded, more connected, and maybe even a little more at peace with the unknown.MORE FROM DR. Six-time Grammy winner, Academy Award nominee, and Songwriters Hall of Famer Glen Ballard joins us to talk about his work with Michael Jackson, Alanis Morrisette, Dave Matthews, and many others!PART ONEPaul and Scott talk about the awesomeness that is Omnivore Recordings, dig into the Fire Aid concert, and talk about their '90s music geekery. PART TWOOur in-depth conversation with Glen BallardABOUT GLEN BALLARDFollowing an entry-level job at Elton John's Rocket Records in Los Angeles, Glen Ballard began his creative career as a staff songwriter for MCA Music Publishing. Early singles included George Strait's “You Look So Good in Love” and Jack Wagner's major hit “All I Need,” which Glen also produced. In the mid-1980s he went to work for Quincy Jones, an era when he and Siedah Garrett co-wrote Michael Jackson's triple platinum single “Man in the Mirror.” By the dawn of the 1990s, Glen had begun collaborating with Wilson Phillips, co-writing their chart topping hits “Hold On” and “You're in Love.” He went on to produce and co-write all the songs on Alanis Morissette's debut album, Jagged Little Pill, including “You Oughta Know,” “Hand in My Pocket,” “All I Really Want,” “Ironic,” “You Learn,” and “Head Over Feet.” The project earned the Album of the Year Grammy, and Glen returned to produce and co-write Alannis's sophomore release, Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie, including the hit “Thank U.” Other songs from the Glen Ballard songbook include Aerosmith's “Pink” and “Falling in Love is Hard on the Knees,” as well as the Dave Matthews Band's “I Did It” and “The Space Between.” Glen earned a Golden Globe and Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song for “Believe,” which he co-wrote with Alan Silvestri for the film The Polar Express. He has written and produced songs for Aretha Franklin, Barbra Streisand, Ringo Starr, Van Halen, Chaka Khan, Christina Aguilera, Katy Perry, and many others. In recent years, Glen has found major success in musical theater, including writing original lyrics and music for GHOST the musical, and teaming again with Alan Silvestri to write the score for the musical adaptation of Back to the Future. Glen has won six Grammy awards, and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2023.
