Joe and Andy chat about the key issues impacting FPL managers ahead of the final Gameweek of the season. Gameweek 38 is traditionally a goal fest. Our Scoutcast duo examine how much of a points bonanza the campaign's finale can be and who the likely heroes are for those looking to win their mini leagues. Can Spurs' Son or Kane score plenty past down and out Norwich? Or can Toney of Brentford cook up some Yorkshire beef to see the gameweek off in style against former promotion rivals Leeds. PLUS: All the usual features and stats, including quickfire Q&A as well as transfer and captaincy plans. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Joe Devine, JJ Bull and Seb Stafford-Bloor discuss Liverpool's win over Chelsea, West Ham v Manchester City, Tottenham v Burnley, Everton v Brentford, Christian Eriksen, The Bundesliga and the films Joe watched during his holidays.
Dave Jones is joined by both Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville for the final Monday Night Football of the 2021/22 Premier League season. During the pre-match build-up both Carragher and Neville review the weekend's action with the focus particularly on both the title race as Manchester City dropped points at West Ham in the 2-2 draw and the relegation battle which saw Leeds snatch a point late on against Brighton whilst Everton lost 3-2 at home to Brentford.Attention then turns to the analysis of Arsenal's 2-0 defeat to an Newcastle which now leaves the Gunners' top four hopes in tatters. Neville feels they will not have a better opportunity to qualify for Champions League football and there can be no excuses from Mikel Arteta or his players. Carragher says the Magpies can push for a top four finish next season after they produced a inspired performance, he also expects them to invest during the summer transfer window. There is also reaction from Eddie Howe, Granit Xhaka and a deflated Mikel Arteta. In the final part of the show the duo pick their individual MNF awards for the best player, best young player, best new player, best coaching performance, best goal as well as their picks for the team of the season.
Join Connor O'Neill, Joe Thomas and Gav Buckland as we look back on Everton's painful 3-2 home defeat to Brentford, as the Blues relegation threat in the Premier League is prolonged. The panel discuss the inspiring scenes outside Goodison Park ahead of kick-off before getting into the on-pitch matters, VAR controversy and frustrations for Frank Lampard and his side. Ahead of Thursday night's visit of Crystal Palace to Goodison, the guys also debate how is best for the Blues to go about their task and where the game could potentially be won and the chances of Everton ensuring their Premier League survival for next season.
Unfortunately there is no celebration on the ATP for our 300th episode, as Everton drop a 3-2 decision to Brentford in a match that would've secured the Toffees place in the PL next season. Instead, James and Ryan review the ups and downs of a truly strange 90 minutes at Goodison. We get into some stats and tactical approaches, but spend just as much time talking about the officiating, luck, and individual mistakes. From the shirt tug on Richarlison to the lack of a 2nd yellow card on Everton's penalty, unfortunately the PL officials take center stage once again. Everton also once again have to contend with injuries against a good side that is able to keep the same lineup match over match. At last but not least we get into listener comments including a discussion that has dominated our discord – has Everton left too much to chance? Was the bigger mistake the Watford match? Can they still get it over the line? Or are we simply praying for Burnley and Leeds results to get safe? Billy The Bee Grant (@Billythebee99), Dave Laney Lane (@Beesotted100) were n chirpy mood after the Southampton win - catching up in the virtual joint to chat all things Brentford In the show today:
This week I'm delighted to bring you a chat with someone who grabs life by both hands, former footballer Darius Charles.Darius retired from professional footballer just a matter of weeks ago after playing professionally for sixteen years for the likes of Wycombe Wanderers, Brentford and most recently, AFC Wimbledon. We talk about how he feels about that and also the journey football has taken him on personally. His mum had him when she was sixteen years old and Darius has had plenty of obstacles over his life that he has managed to overcome and use as the energy he brings to everyone he meets. We had this conversation in a recording studio close to where Darius spent a large part of his childhood, in Hanwell, West London. Darius is currently being followed by a documentary crew and our conversation in the studio will be part of a programme called 'Sidelines', which will be out later in the year.I got to know Darius about a year ago and since then I've always enjoyed and looked forward to every conversation we have ever had. As he says himself, he's a very fiery character and I think by the end of this conversation you will see how he is using that desire in a positive way, a passion that will change lives. We talk about role models, creating opportunities and being self-sufficient, the fear of your career always being one manager's decision away from ending as well as dealing with being loaned out and Injured. But we start with that difficult decision to hang up his boots.Show Notes: Brentford Football Club - https://www.brentfordfc.com/Helen Keller - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helen_KellerScott Fitzgerald - https://bit.ly/3ysK4y0Thurrock Football Club - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thurrock_F.C.Nathan Broome - https://bit.ly/3wlzQggGareth Ainsworth - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gareth_AinsworthGraham Westley - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graham_WestleySocial Identity Theory - https://www.britannica.com/topic/social-identity-theoryPaulo Coelho book 'The Alchemist' - https://amzn.to/3vYJcj1Don Miguel Ruiz book 'The Four Agreements' - https://amzn.to/3yu8KXeThe Last Dance - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQk2hJs2ToAMichael Jordan - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_JordanBill Cartwright - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_CartwrightChicago Bulls - https://www.nba.com/bulls/Steve Kerr - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_KerrPhil Jackson's book ‘Eleven Rings' - https://amzn.to/3yrOFk4Jay Shetty's Podcast - https://apple.co/3yrOQMgJake Humphrey's High Performance Podcast - https://apple.co/3whdZ9YSteven Bartlett's Podcast - https://apple.co/3l0BdMhErwin Valencia's Podcast Episode - https://apple.co/38gxqaIMaya Angelou - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maya_AngelouKendrick Lamar - https://www.kendricklamar.com/More About Darius Charles:Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/everybody_lovesd/?hl=enTwitter - https://twitter.com/dariuscharles00LinkedIn - https://bit.ly/3L0qKeqWikipedia - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darius_CharlesListen & Subscribe to The Ben Ryan Podcast:Ben's Website - http://benryan.co.uk/bio/Apple Podcasts - https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-ben-ryan-podcast/id1553400216Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/show/3iUL1eLA7HFKt5gxO7Uf4j?si=oN9YN6uFRSSGbO6kR01ONQAmazon Music - https://amzn.to/3shGDnOTuneIn - http://tun.in/pkdsmBen On Social:Follow me on Instagram - https://bit.ly/2Z5QSitFollow me on Twitter - https://bit.ly/3ph5W7oFollow me on LinkedIn - https://bit.ly/3ah8FtvRead about me - https://amzn.to/2NLu0Ck

An Origi inspired Liverpool eventually overcome Everton in the Merseyside derby to keep pace with Man City in the title race. The Toffees are now in the relegation zone. Is it a myth that Lampard is doing the best he can? It was a wonderful weekend for the reinvented Burnley and the aggressive Arsenal. But despite victory, there is a malaise at Chelsea.
