Grab your popcorn, 'cuz this week's episode is full of drama. We get into the soap opera of Texas gun extremists vs. "mainstream" Republicans, plus we hear about how Tony Tinderholt wants to kill women (and missed his calling for the WWF), Ashley dance-battles InfoWars in a pink spandex leotard, and Beto's former campaign manager Jody Casey joins us to talk about parenthood and politics. And so much more! PRESENTING SPONSOR: This episode of "The Rabble" is brought to you by The Austin Young Democrats. Join them at their Annual Membership Drive Thursday, April 18th at Cheer Up Charlies. Their membership is $10 a year, but for this meeting only you can join for just $7! Open to those between the ages of 14-40, and Young at Heart memberships are available as well. Plus, they'll have some very special guests in attendance doing a live show….you may know them as THE RABBLE. Come hang with us! We're planning some pretty fun stuff. https://www.facebook.com/events/2151258661656513/ THIS WEEK'S GUEST: Jody Casey, campaign manager for Beto's 2018 Senate race. https://twitter.com/jodyforbeto SH*T TO DO: Tell your State Senators to stand up to the assault on voting rights and vote NO on Senate Bill 9. Senate Bill 9 makes voting more difficult and creates barriers for Texans by criminalizing voter mistakes in the voter registration process. It puts at risk and creates voter intimidation especially among disabled Texans, eldery voters and communities of color. Your signature on this Progress Texas/Common Cause petition automatically creates an email for Texas Senators, telling them to vote NO on Senate Bill 9. Take action now! http://act.progresstexas.org/sign/No-SB-9/?source=Email-04-08&t=8&akid=6186.188497.6GuyR0&fbclid=IwAR2zSGvF5645JllQSGRj7s58PE5tWjjVXQbU_AVyovfFOs36QlG6DwKsajM Or Text "SB9" to 97779 and Texas Rising will connect you with your state senator.
