When Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed permitless carry into law last year, gun control activists predicted the state would become a more dangerous place. Instead, as cities like Tampa have reported, gun-involved crimes have plummeted even as more Floridians are exercising their right to carry without a government-issued permission slip.

Blood in the streets. The Wild West. Absolute anarchy. For gun control activists, Florida's new permitless carry law is apocalyptically bad news, but as Bill Cawthon of the Second Amendment Society of Texas explains, data shows permitless carry doesn't lead to a surge in violent crime anymore than universal background check laws reduce homicides.

Broadcasting from the Free State of Florida. Transgender shooter's manifesto has yet to see the light of day as predicted by your host last week. Transgenderism is being pushed by the media and establishment politicians without regard to the wellbeing of the "transgender" person who those who may be left in the wake through things such as school shootings. What is the effect of administering hormones in levels that are not naturally occurring in an individual who is mentally no-well? What is the chance that the media constantly stating that "Christians" are out to get transgenders causes mentally unstable transgenders to shoot children? Well don't expect that to be explored any time soon because it does not fit the establishment narrative: Transgenderism is Universally Good and If You Don't Agree You're a POS. Transgender privilege is a real thing. Transgender shooters should not be prosecuted for Hate Crimes and transgender athletes are allowed to crush female competitors. Add transgender models in "woman face" to the list of things that make up Trans Privilege. Permitless carry is now allowed in Florida. If you want to carry for reciprocity in other states though you'll still need to get a concealed carry permit. Jack Harris is fired in Tampa. He had been on WFLA on and off since 1970 and for the last 29 years but was recently removed from AM Tampa Bay without even a Goodbye Show. That's corporate America for you. Trump has been indicted for what amounts to accounting problems. Victor Davis Hanson has a list of things that he was not indicted for (that the Clintons and Joe Biden did do). Media and political establishment want Americans to remain ignorant. That's what we can do to fight them: Educate your fellow man (or woman). Teacher shot by 6-year old sues school district and administrators for $40M. If you go by the mainstream media accounts, the only thing that caused the child to suit the teacher was access to a 9mm. On the day after Halloween we explore the horror of “Permitless Carry,” the latest madness following the Supreme Court's attack on state's rights to regulate firearms for the safety of their citizenry. “Permitless Carry” is just what it sounds like, you need no qualifications to buy or carry a gun. No background check, no training, and no need for a license. Texas has already passed this law and Georgia and many other states are soon to follow. Okay Public Servants! Time to step up and protect children, minorities, LBGT communities and women from the relentless proliferation of weapons and violence in our communities. The silence is deafening. Host Sarah Germain Lilly lays out the issue and some of its consequences; for example a young girl who was killed when a man opened fire during a robbery. We continue to honor Domestic Violence Awareness month with words from Jay W. Walker during an event held by WARM, We All Really Matter, and their Harlem March to End Domestic Violence. Sean Stephanic contributes the In Memoriam, honoring Nicole Connors, 52 years old, 10/13/22, Raleigh, North Carolina.

Permitless carry has been signed into law in Ohio and goes into effect on June 13, 2022. But there are many other pro-gun bills lawmakers have yet to move, including limiting government power in emergencies and dealing with armed school staff. Rob Sexton, BFA's Legislative Affairs Director, talks about what comes next at the Statehouse. Plus we discuss the crazy battle over election maps and whether hunters are stepping up in the fight for constitutional rights.
Florida is going to have a special session where Governor Ron DeSantis (R.) says he hopes permitless gun-carry is added to the agenda. So, who better to bring on the show to discuss this news than Florida Man Charles Cooke? The National Review senior writer joined the podcast to give some insight into the state of the proposal. He said it will likely be an uphill battle to get the policy through the legislature even with the backing of DeSantis. He also explained the unique nature of Florida's gun laws which lag behind those of other red states despite the Sunshine State's reputation as the "Gunshine State." Cooke also weighed in on the success of the permitless carry movement thus far. He said the momentum generated by the incredible sweep gun-rights advocates have been able to pull of in such a short period of time will generate enough pressure to get the policy passed in Florida. But, he said, it might not be until next year. We also look at what Ketanji Brown Jackson's confirmation hearings revealed about her views on the Second Amendment. She has a sparse record on guns, but she was nominated by a staunch gun-control proponent and the gun-control groups all support her. However, there is some reason to believe she may take a more expansive view of the Second Amendment than previous Democratic nominees. Plus, Contributing Writer Jake Fogleman looks at new data on first-time gun owners and we have another member segment! Special Guest: Charles Cooke.

Nationally-syndicated radio host and author Erick Erickson joins the show this week to talk about the Georgia election, NRA, and Ketanji Brown Jackson. Erickson, who lives in Georgia, has closely followed the gubernatorial election. The Republican primary has been particularly heated this year with former-president Donald Trump enticing former-senator David Purdue to run against incumbent Brian Kemp as a form of payback over rebuffed attempts to flip the 2020 election results. With Kemp facing stiff opposition he's turned back to a policy he first ran on in 2018: permitless gun-carry. Whether Kemp can get the bill over the finish line before the election comes will have a big impact on the race, according to Erickson. He also weighs in on the claim by Perdue and likely Democratic nominee Stacey Abrams that Kemp sat on the proposal until it was politically advantageous. He said even if those claims are true, it may not matter if Kemp ultimately delivers which he seems to be on the cusp of doing. Erickson also talked about the idea the gun-rights movement has been so successful it's started to lead to problems. He cites the corruption allegations weighing down the NRA as one example, but also pointed to some more questionable gun bills making it into law in deep-red states. He said the gun-rights movement should refocus its efforts on fighting strict gun laws in deep-blue states rather than passing symbolic or even counter-productive laws in places they've already enacted a myriad of pro-gun policies. Erickson also weighed in on why he isn't convinced by President Biden's Supreme Court nominee saying she believes in the Heller precedent. He said he doesn't trust her not to overturn the landmark gun case given the chance. Plus, Contributing Writer Jake Fogleman joins the show to talk about how armed Ukrainian civilians helped fend off a mechanized Russian assault on a key farm town. And we speak to another Reload Member this week. Dennis Chapman, a lawyer and author living in Virginia, joins the show to talk about how he became interested in guns to the point of writing a book about the AR-15. Special Guest: Erick Erickson.
Paul and Craig DeLuz talk about Indiana Getting Constitutional (Permitless) carry, the states that are still considering it, and a few other Second Amendment stories of the day.
Ohio has passed a new permitless carry law which goes into effect on Monday, June 13, 2022. It makes Ohio's concealed handgun license optional. But is the licensing system going away? Does it change how you carry in your car? Will it change who can carry, what you can carry, or where you can carry? Attorney and firearm law expert Sean Maloney answers these and other common questions.

Governor Mike DeWine has signed a BFA-supported bill to make Ohio's concealed carry license optional. This makes Ohio the 23rd state to pass permitless or "constitutional" carry. It's a landmark victory in the fight for the right to bear arms. Buckeye Firearms Association's Legislative Affairs Director Rob Sexton reveals the strategy used to push this bill through the legislative process against all odds and despite a relentless attack from opponents.
Amanda Suffecool joins Paul to discuss developments in Permitless carry laws in Ohio and Indiana that have happened over the past 24 hours. Despite the objections from some county sheriffs and many politically-appointed police chiefs in the state, lawmakers appear poised to give Constitutional Carry the green light this week, decriminalizing the right of legal gun owners to bear arms without first obtaining a government-issued permission slip.
To date, 21 states have Constitutional Carry, allowing citizens to carry firearms concealed without a license. And now Ohio is rapidly moving a bill to become state number 22. Greg Abbott finally signed permit less carry. What does that mean to you? Well you don't need a license to carry a gun openly. But it means you cant carry if you are mental or a felon. In short if you can't legally buy it, you can't own it, if you can't own it you cant legally carry it openly or concealed. All it means is you don't need to apply for a license to carry, just carry what you legally own. Remember if you sell a gun to a person who can't legally get one on their own, can it be traced back to you? If so you may get in trouble, so obey the law and let's live long and healthy lives. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/theuncensoredvoice/message

House Bill 1927 would nix the requirement for Texas residents to obtain a license to carry handguns if they’re not prohibited by state or federal law from possessing a gun.
