Ryan Cash is an amazingly original Jamaican artist who is a self-proclaimed ganja man with several albums of material, one of which, his 2019 release, Smoke One, is a whole album of herb songs, each it its own genre, from old school hip hop to roots to dancehall to dubstep and trap as well. He comes from Waterhouse, a neighborhood in Kingston, Jamaica. We talk about his concern for the youth of the Caribbean and his album, Save the Caribbean. While his style is his own and he calls it Universal, we here at Cali High dubbed it Croaking Lizard Style in a shout out to Lee Scratch Perry. We talk about his early influences and his childhood in Jamaica and explore his music in depth. We feature his video Blowing Smoke! Ryan is a brilliant fellow and his words are worth listening to! Federico and John interview two members of Team Alto, Harry Nesbitt and Ryan Cash, about Alto’s Adventure, the challenges they faced in following it up with Alto’s Odyssey, the creative process of making games, and the mobile game industry.
Alto's Adventure Today we have Ryan Cash from Snowman software on the podcast. Ryan and his team built an amazing game for iOS called Alto's Adventure. Ryan and I discuss how the game came to fruition, and the marketing strategy. I know a lot of you have been asking about how to go about building a game, so here's the episode for you! As in previous episodes, we discussed treating the app like a movie — releasing tidbits of the game in teasers and trailers, and then showing some behind the scenes such as how the game was built. Ryan learned how to build his audience using this method. Having posted a few things on the website, he was able to build up the anticipation for the game, much like a producer would for a big Hollywood blockbuster. My thanks to Ryan and the entire team at Snowman for releasing Alto's Adventure. Go play it today! This week Federico and Myke get excited for some upcoming game releases, and speak with Ryan Cash, from Snowman, about their game 'Alto's Adventure'.
Ryan Cash is the founder of Snowman, a small indie developer who specialises in iOS games. Their latest title, Altos Adventure, caught the attention of show host Chris O'Regan via Twitter thanks to Matt Murray, friend of the Joypod podcast. Chris invited Ryan to come on The Sausage Factory to chat about his game and amazingly he agreed. This show is the result of Ryans guest appearance where he talks about his time as an iOS developer since the very first iPhone appeared back in 2007 and how he admires others who are forging their path in the highly competitive realm of iOS games. http://media.blubrry.com/caneandrinse/caneandrinse.com/sausage/TSF_Episode52.mp3 The Sausage Factory 52 was edited by Chris O'Regan
