Jesus took on flesh to deliver His people from the power of death.
Jesus shared in our humanity so that by His death He might break the power of him who holds the power of death - that is, the devil - and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.

Welcome to our Sunday morning worship service. Today is a special day in the life of The Oaks Community Church – the first sermon by our new Pastor of Evangelism, José Doniz. He was scheduled to preach this sermon February 9, but tested positive for COVID three hours before the service! So today is the second sermon on the second in the series of 6 weeks focusing on REAWAKENING in every area of our lives, as we join with tens of thousands of Christian and Missionary Alliance members all over the United States in our 40 Days of Prayer focus. The focus this week is Reawakening to the Life, Death, and Resurrection of Christ. Pastor José’s sermon is titled “Reawakening to the Life, Death, and Resurrection of Christ.” We are going to learn how we can (and must) trust God for our lives – how we must let go of the controls and "float," and let God have control. This is a hard thing for all of us to do, but Pastor José, through the Scripture and through his own experience, is going to help us see this truth. You will be greatly blessed, greatly encouraged, and greatly challenged in your walk with the Lord and your prayer life as you watch this sermon. Join with us now as we all pray for spiritual awakening. Come Holy Spirit. Be sure to download the Worship Guide before you watch the video, so you may follow along with Pastor José as he preaches. Click “Download PDF” and it will open in a new window where you may print it or save it to your computer.

The "Jesus Is Better" sermon series is focused on the central theme from the Book of Hebrews. In a world of uncertainty and at times when many do not have a sure footing on what they believe, the Book of Hebrews provides the strong foundation for our faith in Jesus. It reveals why Jesus is greater, more excellent, more perfect, everlasting...Better. Pt 4 :: God’s son took on human nature to be our Savior & Priest to free us from sin & death.
God became man to help us
Come & Stand Amazed
The humanity of Jesus was made perfect through suffering, conquered death and the devil by dying, represents us before God, satisfies God's wrath against our sin, and shows us the way through temptation. Sermon Video: https://youtu.be/UcTKJanOobQ

Jesus is the greatest hero that has ever lived, do you give him the glory he deserves?
God became man. This statement is of such enormous magnitude that is its meaning is almost unfathomable. Despite the weightiness, God becoming man is one of the key tenants of the Christian faith. This series of sermons on the incarnate God doesn’t aim to explain what transpired when God took on flesh, but rather why this wonderful truth has immense significance for people – for you.
