“Faith is caught, not just taught. Model it in your actions, involve the next generation, explain why you live this way, and give them space to practice it. When they start doing the same, your legacy is real.” Because legacy is not what you build for yourself. It is what continues when you are gone. And the greatest tragedy is not that treasure is hidden. It is that we fail to search for it And it is still the glory of kings to search it out. Search for it in people. Protect it in yourself. Speak life over it in others. Be intentional – stretch, dig, polish, if you need a different tool to get past the clay try something else. But remember you sold all you had for the treasure hidden in the field of dirt. See the value hidden in me……Remember the real treasure is HIM.

In this episode, we dive deep into the generational mission of fatherhood. We move beyond the traditional metrics of "success"—finances and career—to explore the weight and beauty of building a spiritual legacy. It's not about being a perfect theologian; it's about being a present, consistent, and humble leader who treats God as a reality, not just a concept. Pick one spiritual habit to start this week. Don't overcomplicate it. Whether it's praying before bed, reading one verse at dinner, or simply blessing your children with your words—start small, but start now. Remember: God doesn't need your ability; He needs your availability. Connect with us: Legacy Dads Facebook Legacy Dads Instagram
Drawing from 2 Kings 4:1–7, this sermon confronts the difference between symbolic success and sustainable wealth. In a culture obsessed with appearance, status, and shortcuts, God calls His people to wisdom, preparation, and faithfulness—especially when it comes to money, legacy, and family security. Through the story of the widow and her oil, this message challenges us to stop being seduced by symbols, plan intentionally for the future, avoid financial deception, and trust God to multiply what we already have. This is a call to steward our resources faithfully, protect our families, and stand on business in a way that honors God and breaks cycles of financial bondage.#StandingOnBusiness #LegacyBuilding #BiblicalStewardship #FaithAndFinances #WealthWithWisdom #BreakTheCycle #KingdomEconomics #LeaveALegacy #GodMultiplies #2Kings4

We often avoid end-of-life talks because we don't want to "upset" anyone. It's normal to feel stuck, but avoidance often leaves a mess for the people we love most. In our latest episode, we're breaking down how to "come in sideways," choose the right moments, and keep these conversations soft and present.

How to nurture the best in people with consistency and be remembered for what matters. This is going to be a different episode about a cake my nan used to make. But isn't just a story about cake. It's about the difference between control and nurture. My school thought resilience came from forcing kids to clear their plates (even if they ended up vomitting). They were wrong. My Nan knew that real strength comes from consistency. She made me the same pineapple upside-down cake every time I visited for a decade. Even when she went blind, she kept creating. She was an entrepreneur, an artist, and the village baker. She taught me that you don't build character by breaking someone's spirit. You build it by showing up. By paying attention. By finding the one thing they can stomach and giving it to them again and again. Nurture over control: You get more out of people by supporting their quirks than forcing compliance. Consistency is love: Showing up the same way for years builds more trust than grand gestures. Create despite limits: My Nan went blind and kept making things; focus on what you can do. Listen to learn how a simple cake became a masterclass in leadership and love. SPONSORS

Send us a textIn this episode of Leave Your Mark, I'm honoured to welcome one of the most iconic defenders in NHL history — Zdeno Chara.Zdeno, born in Slovakia, played 24 seasons in the National Hockey League with the New York Islanders, Ottawa Senators, Boston Bruins, and Washington Capitals. Standing at 6'9", “Big Zee” is the tallest player ever to compete in the league — but his impact stretched far beyond physical stature. As Captain of the Boston Bruins for 14 seasons, Zdeno led with humility, discipline, and purpose. He won the Norris Trophy in 2009, appeared in three Stanley Cup Finals, and raised the Cup in 2011 — becoming one of only five European-born captains to ever do so. Over 1,600 NHL games, he built a reputation for professionalism, integrity, and a relentless work ethic.Internationally, he represented Slovakia with pride, earning two silver medals at the World Championships. In 2022, he retired as a Boston Bruin and will have his number, 33, raised to the rafters in January 2026. Most recently, he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.Beyond the accolades, Zdeno is a devoted husband to Tatiana and a father to three young children — and in this conversation, he opens up about leadership, resilience, growth, family, and what it means to evolve beyond the game. This is a special one. I speak with with the semi-pseudonymous Johann Kurtz on his terrific new book Leaving a Legacy: Inheritance, Charity, & Thousand-Year Families. Johann lays out the foundation for why it can be moral to leave an inheritance when pared with virtue. We talk how ‘Die with Zero' misses the mark, why true charity is necessarily multi-generational, family business as a conduit for generational continuity, and what J.K. Rowling instinctively understands about the re-enchantment of the world. Intro/Outro: Legends of the Fall Main Theme - James Horner This is a public episode.
