Hey everyone, this is Chad Harms, the pastor of Creekside Bible Church. What you'll hear on this episode is not a sermon, but rather an announcement about a project I've been working on: A podcast called "Testimony." The first episode goes live on January 4th and I'd love it if you'd listen and subscribe. Here's the text I wrote for Testimony's trailer: "I'm a huge fan of podcasts. For years I've enjoyed listening to shows in many genres, but my favorite all have one thing in common: They tell great stories. As a Christian I don't think there is any better story than when someone's life is changed by coming to faith in Jesus. For a long time I have dreamed of producing a podcast that told these stories in a compelling and interesting way. Thankfully, I am finally ready to embark on that endeavor. One of the first podcasts I ever listened to is called "How I Built This." It is "a podcast about innovators, entrepreneurs, idealists, and the stories behind the movements they built." That podcast has inspired much of what I hope to do here. Instead of stories about the companies people I have built though, I am telling the stories of how God has built people's lives. More specifically, Testimony is a podcast telling the stories of how and why people became Christians. It also offers glimpses into how people's decisions to follow Jesus has changed their lives. My hope in producing this is that it will compel some to give their lives to Jesus and many to share their own story with others. With that in mind I hope that you will listen to the trailer and subscribe. The first episode launches on January 4th. In it you'll hear the story of how God used basketball and a funeral to convince Grayson Boucher (better known as "The Professor") that Jesus was real and how that conviction changed his life and career forever. Thanks for listening, Chad Harms TestimonyPodcast.Com"
