Today on Window Treatments for Profit This is Part 1 of Small on Purpose, a new WTFP series for the window treatment professional who is choosing to stay solo, on purpose, and wants to run that business at full profitability. Choosing small is a valid decision, same as choosing to grow, and it deserves the same respect. But choosing small still requires real discipline around your numbers, and this series is built on both of those truths. In this first episode, LuAnn lays out 2 ways people build a small business on purpose, full time inside limits you set yourself, or on the side, alongside something else, still expected to perform. She anchors both to a principle from designer Rachel Moriarty, someone LuAnn has known since 2016: "It's not a hobby, it is a business, and you have to run it like one." Then she tells the story of Exciting Windows member Susan Day, who ran her window treatment business solo for over a decade when she learned by taking the Exciting Windows Make A Friend 7 Step Selling System that she could intentionally set and reach revenue goals. 20+ years ago that goal was $100,000 a year. Now she approaches $1 million in gross revenue using the exact same system. Because of this system, Susan not only achieves her revenue goals but she also achieves arguably an even more important personal goal which is to take her 10 weeks off, every single year! LuAnn runs the actual math live, showing how the same revenue goal can take dramatically fewer appointments depending on just 2 numbers, average sale and close rate. Then she shares designer Adam Scougall's honest account of trying to make his design business his entire income, watching the pressure drain the joy out of it, and instead building a firm boundary, 2 projects a year, kept separate from his day job, a fraction of Susan's number and just as legitimate, because it was never about the size. It was about hitting your own number, on purpose. This episode gives you 3 concrete steps, 1 from each story. Tune in to see what your aha will be. Living on purpose is less about what you do and more about who you're being. In Part 1 of this series, we explored what purpose really is and why it's not something you have to chase or discover outside yourself. In this episode, we're taking the next step. We're exploring how living on purpose is about consciously, intentionally creating a life that reflects who you truly are.The beautiful thing is that living on purpose is available to you today, regardless of your circumstances. When you learn to know, love, and trust yourself, your decisions become clearer. Your values become your compass. You stop reacting to life and begin intentionally creating a life that feels deeply aligned, joyful, and soul-honouring.In this episode, you'll discover:✨ The important difference between living with purpose and living on purpose—and why both matter.✨ Why purpose isn't primarily about what you do, but about who you're becoming.✨ How to use purpose as a practical tool to guide your choices through both ordinary seasons and difficult transitions.✨ Six simple ways to begin living more intentionally by befriending yourself and honouring your True Self.✨ The subtle signs that you've drifted away from yourself—including chronic stress, urgency, comparison, and the inability to truly rest.✨ Why your deepest gifts energize you instead of depleting you—and how that's different from simply being good at something.Living on purpose doesn't require a dramatic life overhaul. It begins with small, intentional choices that honour your values, your gifts, and the person you're becoming.Because purpose isn't something you eventually arrive at. It's something you practice, one choice at a time.ResourcesCore Values Workshop: https://www.alifeinprogress.ca/core-values-workshop/The Life Visioning Course: https://www.alifeinprogress.ca/life-visioning-course/Connect with Krista:Instagram: @a_life_in_progressFacebook: @alifeinprogressca and @rebrandingmiddleageYouTube: @ALifeinProgressWebsite: alifeinprogress.ca

The miracles of Jesus weren't just historic events; they are blueprints for how the Holy Spirit wants to break into your circumstances today. What if you've been looking for purpose in all the wrong places? So many people spend years believing they need to discover their one purpose. As though it's hiding somewhere outside of them, waiting to be found. They may, for a season, find purpose in a role they play or in career or another goal or achievement. But when life changes through midlife transitions, retirement, empty nest, grief, or a career shift, many people feel like they've lost their purpose. They feel destabilized, unmoored, and sometimes scared. In this first episode of a new series, I'm exploring what purpose really is, why it matters so deeply to our health and well-being, and how our experience of purpose naturally changes throughout our lives.I'll share why believing there's only one purpose for your life robs you of joy and wellbeing, and how learning to reconnect with your True Self allows purpose to become less about striving or doing and more about being. You'll also hear why purpose isn't reserved for extraordinary achievements. There are two distinct ways to look at and experience purpose. Both are important.Purpose is 1) an innate seed within the true self, discovered, developed, and practiced or lived over time.Purpose is 2) a practical tool that can be deliberately leveraged in any season, including in crisis, struggle, or vulnerable life transitions. In this episode, you'll discover:✨ How purpose can be a practical tool that brings hope, resilience, and meaning during life's hardest seasons. And examples of this.✨ Why purpose is far more than a career, calling, or accomplishment.✨ The research showing how living with purpose supports your physical, mental, and emotional health.✨ Why the belief that you have one single life purpose can leave you feeling discouraged or even in distress.✨ How purpose evolves through every season of life. Even if you have a strong vision for your life or for how to use your gifts in the world. You don't need to have your entire life figured out to live with purpose. You don't have to accomplish something extraordinary to matter.Purpose is easier than most people think and available to all.But I also want you to understand how to experience deeply rooted, long-lasting sense of purpose that is reciprocal (it fills you up and benefits others) and that comes from walking in freedom, wholeness, and joy.ResourcesHow to Live on Purpose (free resource that offers an overview of purpose, many ideas about purpose, and reflection prompts to help you explore what gives you purpose or meaning in this season): Befriend Your True Self and (Re)claim Freedom and Joy | A Life In Progress*if the sign up form does not show up, please refresh your browserIf you want to create a soul-honouring life, one that is an expression of your True Self and helps you thrive forward in every season, you need to check out the Life Visioning Course: https://www.alifeinprogress.ca/life-visioning-course/Join the waitlist for the Brave and Beautiful Community for growth-minded midlife women: https://www.alifeinprogress.ca/community/Connect with Krista:Instagram: @a_life_in_progressFacebook: @alifeinprogressca and @rebrandingmiddleageYouTube: @ALifeinProgressWebsite: alifeinprogress.ca

Founder's Story: Bullied, Broken, and Built for Purpose Part 1 What You Will Learn: Four years into hosting the Stay On Course Podcast, Julie Riga steps into the guest seat to share the story she has never fully told before. From honoring her father's legacy to surviving Graves disease, from eating lunch alone in a high school bathroom to becoming a leadership coach and transformation catalyst, Julie's journey is proof that our hardest seasons carry our greatest lessons. Key Topics: The Heart Behind Stay On Course: Why Julie created the Stay On Course Podcast four years ago How her father's words of faith became the soul of the brand The meaning behind "Stay on course" and why it carries so much weight Lesson One: The Kid Who Had Lunch in the Bathroom: Being bullied from age five and the identity it almost stole Spending high school years eating lunch alone due to isolation and illness The quiet inner voice that carried her through: "They do not know who you are. They do not know who you will become." The Surgery That Changed Everything: Undiagnosed Graves disease discovered at 16 after a life-threatening surgery Being rushed to the ICU and the doctor's warning to her mother How her senior year marked the turning point toward becoming herself Memorable Quotes: "If the world falls down on your shoulders, brush it off and keep going your way. Stay on course. Have faith." "They do not know who you are. They do not know who you will become." "I am a person of conviction and I am a person of purpose." "It is because of those lessons that I became the unique individual that I am today." Key Takeaways: Your story has purpose. The hard seasons are the foundation of who you are becoming Reframe every setback as a lesson and watch your growth accelerate Faith carries you through seasons you cannot navigate alone Circumstance does not define you or your future Tenacity and conviction are forged through difficulty, not comfort About Julie Riga: Julie Riga is a leadership coach, TEDx speaker, bestselling author, and host of the Stay On Course Podcast. She helps leaders and business owners discover their true purpose, build authentic confidence, and break through to their next level of success. When a dog looks into your eyes they release oxytocin which is the same chemical as a mother taking care of a child. We see dogs as pets but spirit sees dogs as so much more. Dogs can sense if you are about to have a nightmare. They can sense the energies. Why does an animal devote their whole life to protect and nurture humans? Your dog can feel everything in your life. Is this why they are always so happy when you come home. It is their evidence that you are okay. Only angels do that. Spirit wants us to know that when dogs are found or lost and ended up with you, that is all orchestrated. Nothing is by accident. Spirit realized that you needed a special messenger they will send the best forces and send an angel with fur. This podcast will cover the way dogs track time. It is not the same as we as humans connect to time. You should hear the poem that Tony will read out, it is awesome.  Listen for more in this podcast. If you are looking for more answers on this topic listen in and discover more about the source in which your brain is talking to you in this podcast. This Meditation only podcast channel with Tony and his Tuning Forks: https://raisingyourspiritsmeditation.buzzsprout.comIn the meditation portion of this podcast we used the Nature's Calling Meditation: Natures Calling Meditation For safety reasons we ask that you not listen to the meditation portion of this podcast if you are driving or operating any machinery as the sounds and frequencies will place you in an altered state. I am so excited for today's episode of the Anchored by the Sword Podcast because this is Part 3 and the FINAL episode in our 3-part series all about Sugarcreek Amish Mysteries—and I truly could not think of a better way to wrap this series up. Today, I'm sitting down with Riley Beeson—who plays Esther in the series. And you guys… her heart, her joy, and her faith are just something special.I first met Riley on set while filming Sugarcreek Amish Mysteries (yes, as an extra!), and getting to watch her not only act, but also learn every single part of the filmmaking process was so inspiring. She wasn't just there to perform—she was there to grow, to learn, and to fully step into what God is calling her to.In this episode, we talk about:How Riley got started in acting and discovered her passionWorking alongside her mom (who also stars in the series!)Her brand new book Letters to Heaven—written at just 16 years oldHow God carried her through the writing process (with no writer's block!)Why learning behind the camera matters just as much as being in front of itHer desire to one day direct, film, and continue creating meaningful storiesStaying grounded in faith at a young age in today's worldOne of my favorite moments from this episode is when Riley shares this powerful truth: “Rejection is God's protection.”And honestly… that will preach. We also talk about what it looked like filming in Sugarcreek Ohio, the unforgettable moments on set, and how this project has impacted so many people already. And you can see that joy all over her life. It's contagious.Sugarcreek Amish Mysteries is now available on UP Faith & Family and airing on UpTV—so if you haven't watched it yet, now is your time! This series has been so special to me—not just because I got to be part of it, but because of the people, the stories, and the way God is using it to reach hearts.Thank you for being part of this journey through all three episodes.Enjoy today's episode!Bio:Riley Beeson is an American actress recognized for her standout performance as Esther Miller in Sugarcreek Amish Mysteries. She began her career with My Florida Home, followed by impactful roles in the independent films Hope and Migrants, where she demonstrated a strong emotional range and on-screen presence. Riley expanded her portfolio with the dark comedy horror short Totally Normal Day as a Parent, further highlighting her versatility across genres. Known for her professionalism, dedication, and ability to bring authenticity to every role, Riley continues to establish herself as a promising talent in the film and television industry.Anchor Verse:Proverbs 17:22Connect with Riley:IG: https://www.instagram.com/riley._.beeson/***We love hearing from you!
