In her hometown of Mercedes, Texas, Fu*#!&@ Design co-host Jaime Garza was surrounded by farmland, strip malls, and block-by-block socioeconomic disparities. The inequalities of her community inspired a desire for change. Jaime launched The Design Collaborative: a manifestation of her desire to create an environment of openly flowing ideas from people of diverse and often underrepresented communities. Her passion for art, people, community, sustainability, and the environment anchors each aspect of the company. She believes that design is an important way for us to express who we are as people and to inspire others to find and explore their talents. For Jaime, collaboration elicits proper representation and equality. When we collaborate, we can build something beautiful. We're getting to know our co-host Jaime, the founder of The Design Collaborative. Enjoy this episode over the long weekend!
