The thrilling conclusion of the Angel/Buffy omg two-parter. We're still getting back into the groove of things, so bear with us!
We're back after a bit of a hiatus. Everybody got busy with real world stuff! Bobby went to GenCon and now just does his shadowrun related shows. Grant's moving across the the country. Aaron moved across the world! But the three of us still managed to make the time to bring you sub-quality Buffy-related shenanigans.
Soooooo we recorded two episodes back to back. Again without Mr. Frankenberger. Again 'live?' I guess? In this episode we talk about good parenting, dealing with death, dealing with death poorly, and cowboy vampires. I unfortunately can't remember the Q&A, but I know we talk about pooping a lot in the back-end (haha) of this episode so godspeed good listener!
Okay, they're all 'live', but Aaron, Grant, and Ryan recorded this one together in the same room! While the Bob's away we actually get together and are a little more dumb and goofy. You can probably tell. Aaron is on the soundboard and sorta hosts while Grant and Ryan goof off. In today's episode we talk again about bad parenting, Pokemon Go, Paul Simon slide whistle instruments, drug cookies, and more. In the Q&A section RQG asks: What's the craziest thing you've ever done?
In the thrilling conclusion to the two-part episode the buffoons get a little yelly. and a little cursy. This one isn't for babies. At the top of the show Aaron and Grant get a little lascivious, bob talks about his kids again, Aaron takes us on an craigslist adventure as he prepares to leave the country, Ryan talks about a trip to Roswell NM, we quiz Grant and more! On the back end we answer a question from long-time listen Brent: "What would you name your Bronze 90s band?" Well... we sort of answer it anyway.
On today's episode revisit the blast from the past in last episode, talk about random numbers texting rando photos, Vampire Grant, Earth 2, Buffy fashion, career days, we "cast" some more spells, talk about the vampire effect on global warming, and more! In the Q&A we are asked a question by Grant Robertson who asks "Do you read reviews about a movie before deciding whether to watch it or not?"
On today's episode the Grant is away, so we're joined by guest Rachel (@checkerdandy) a long time fan of our buffoonry going years back. She's great and joins us on discussing the Transformers and Cube series, napes, John Cusack, Gavin Rosdale, Amy Yip, Cordelia regression, Giles/Jenny PDA, tattoo removal and more! Rachel faces off against the 'Quiz Grant!' quiz and we pull a horrible auditory gem from 2005 out of the Buffoon vault of terribleness!
No show notes this week because the episode is already late! Lo siento!
The halloween episode! Principal Snyder has the great idea to send the gang, a bunch of good for nothings, out as trick-or-treat chaperones. Little do they know their going to become the costumes they're wearing!Expect for Cordie because she doesn't shop at pleb shops.
We're back! Today we discuss cafeteria food, milk cartons, Jormungand, Ouroboros, Angel hate, Xander jerkiness, Cordie's religious beliefs, party safety and more. In the question corner, Random Question Generator is back with the question: What's the first thing you notice in a guy? Come on and let's party in the frat dungeon woo YEAH!
On today's episode, spooky ancient mummy princesses! Irritating technical problems! Vampire court! Grammar court! ALL THE COURTS.And we talk way too long about Grant's dingleberries. Enjoy!Next episode will be delayed a week due to time issues, and we will also be trying a new even more condensed format. Look forward to it!
In today's episode we get introduced to everybody's favorite bad guy, Spike! Ryan again didn't have time to edit it, so we're going to pass this off as another super special uncut episode! It's like you're actually there when we record! Using the same excuse twice isn't terrible right?!Oh, and also Ryan was using the wrong mic for the first 5 minutes or so soooo there's some of the guys talking to dead air there. I'm such a professional~~~I promise I'll properly edit the next one and we'll get back to the quality you know and expect. Enjoy!
Today's episode is extra special because it's (relatively) uncut! Editor Ryan didn't have time to give it the proper attention, so he just did a cut geared towards getting rid of long pauses and as much noise as possible. As a result, you're going to hear a lot more pauses, sidebars, and us being dumb than usual. We managed to keep the recording short regardless though so hope you enjoy!
Season 2! We're back from summer break and things are heating up for the gang. Well, if Buffy wasn't being such a massive ice queen. We put Grant to the test with another quiz, random question generator saves us again with a well-timed question, and we discuss Cibo Matto, Total Recall, Vampire Squad (cops who are vampires), and more!
We've made it, this is the finale of season 1! Are you as surprised as we are? Aw, thanks, we always knew you believed in us! On this episode Aaron casts another special spell, the Master is really happy about disaster, Giles and Angel have a knowledge trist and more! In a change of order, we get the show out of the way in the first half and the back half of the episode is a Q&A for Grant and Aaron and reviewing the season that was. See you after spring break and have a Great summer!
On today's episode the Grant's away so we have a guest host! We talk about school, invisibility, reeeeeeally long stories about reeeeeeally long numbers, ghost tricks, and more!
Turn-about is fair play and on this episode Ryan drops the reins into the capable(?) hands of Aaron to take us through 'Nightmares'. We discuss bouncey castles, eagles, HIPAA, DVD logistics, sad trombones, and more. In a very special Q&A, we discuss a world without Grant? Join us as we experience Aaron's nightmare.
An episode of Buffy full of trickery! While Buffy and the Gang deal with a homicidal ventriloquist dummy, Ryan and Bobby deal with a couple of dummies of their own. Happy April Fools' Day!
Willow is changing for her man and Buffy doesn't like it! A cautionary tale about e-dating. We also have a 'name that music from megaman' contest with Grant!
We're back after an unfortunate week without recording! We know you missed this and are excited to listen to this episode where we get to learn all about Angel and Grant gets to do a lot talking about Angel. We also: discuss the male word for a banshee, stealing babies, mobile games, Bloodstone!, Ryan's villainous tendencies, ageism, vampire magicians, poor business practices, vampire office, teaching moments, and more! Ryan forgot we had questions as well, but we managed to pull it together for you our listeners. Thanks and please like and subscribe on iTunes!
On today's episode Bobby has to leave halfway through because his child is born! We still manage to cobble together a full episode for you though in which we talk about hyena-men and women, croissants, the size of razorbacks, Cider House Rules, and more! Unfortunately due to scheduling conflicts we will likely not be putting out a podcast next week, but check in in case I (Ryan) put together something special! By special I mean not about an episode, as it will be decidedly unspecial. And as always you can find us at shoutengine.com/buffoonsthevampirepodcast, malarkeytv.com, and on iTunes! Interstitial music track 'Jazzy Frenchy' from: http://www.bensound.com
we talk about: kids ruining houses, melatonin, boys!, who would win in a fight between Seal and Ryan Adams, how Ryan doesn't trust anybody in Sunnydale, how Bob was Owen in HS, Captain Crunch vs. Morgan and then I stopped keeping track like a dummy
Grant calls in from a submarine and we talk about mantis-squid similarities, Grant's bad short term memory, Buffy's jacket collection, Apples, eating disorders and more. Now with 100% more soundboard! The Buffoons are: Ryan (@FauxRomano), Bobby (ComplexAction.net / @GMFunkytown), Aaron (MalarkeyTV.com / @Malarkey_TV), and Grant (SlopStache.com / @TheSlopstache) Find us at MalarkeyTV.com/buffoons or email us at Buffoons@MalarkeyTV.comMusic: Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) & Jason Shaw (Audionautix.com)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/
