Gita is one of the most influential treatise in eastern philosophy. The Bhagavad-Gita is the eternal message of spiritual wisdom from ancient India. The word Gita means song and the word. Bhagavad means God, often the Bhagavad-Gita is called the Song of God. The story begins on the dusty plains of Kurukshetra, where Arjuna, a famed archer, is poised to fight. But he hesitates. He sees arrayed against him friends, teachers, and kin, and believes that to fight—and likely kill—these men would be to commit a grievous sin and could bring nothing good even if he were to win the kingdom back. Krishna chides him for his cowardice—Arjuna is from the warrior caste after all, and warriors are meant to fight—but then goes on to present a spiritual rationale for battling his enemies, one that encompasses a discussion of the karma, jnana and bhakti yogas, as well as the nature of divinity, humankind's ultimate destiny, and the purpose of mortal life. This series makes the oldest lesssons of Sri Krishna relevant to the present generation with a question at the end of each episode and "Time to Reflect" Chapters: 18 Verses: 700 Original language: Sanskrit Presentation: Carnatic Conservatory of Paris Creative heads: Bhavana Pradyumna and Sreekanth Rajagopalan Illustrations: Eshani Lasya Concept: Bhavana Pradyumna contact: carnaticconservatoryofparis@gmail.com www.bhavanapradyumna.net facebook : https://www.facebook.com/CCGlobalParis for contributing with illustrations, time, video making and monetary support.#ccparis No part of these videos may be copied, reproduced or used without the prior consent of the association or the authority. © Carnatic Conservatory of Paris 2021 © Conservatoire Carnatique de Paris 2021
